They are dipped into a past prepared of sandalwood, then pressed on the skin(some sandalwood residue is still present on this stamp. Sectarian body stamps have script related to a deity. SUPERB QUALITY ANTIQUE KASHMIRI WATER DIPPER Late 1800's- Early 1900's Superb Kashmiri hand hammered water dipper. Beautiful form with floral and paisley decoration to both the handle and the bowl. Very well crafted with a round tubular handle that is wrapped with intricate design work. The bowl is adorned with a beautiful stylized flower in the center that is visible from both the exterior and interior. Along with ornate patterning all around the rim. The end of the rounded handle is finished with a small metal loop for hanging and display. This superb ladle may have been used for drawing water for tea or perhaps ceremonial washing. It is an absolutely magnificent piece, and measures approximately 15" long and 3 3/4" across the bowl. Up for auction is this r are old cloth doll from India. Imported by S.S. Sarna, San Francisco. This doll has it's tag and is clean however the gauze of the sari is quite worn/torn/frayed. There is what looks like intended paint loss in the very center of the eyes. Not sure if intentional though. Measures about 6 3/4" tall. Has a bead on her nose and beads sewn in as a necklace, also 2 bracelets in each wrist. Note the detail in the five separately sewn fingers on each hand. Happy bidding on this charming old doll.

Ganesha is a solid stone carving measuring 13 1/2" tall, 10" wide and 6" thick. He is professionally mounted on a black sturdy wooden base 8" X 6 1/4" X 2 1/2" The complete work measures 18 1/2" tall and weighs just over 27 pounds. His 1982 selling price was $3,500.00. Antique Hand Carved Wooden Tray from Raj Era India, Early 20th Century
Measuring about 10¼" x 19" Including the handles, this wooden tray appears to be carved out of a single piece of wood, with two"feet" screwed on underneath to use as stands. Just carving the outline shape looks like an awful lot of work, let alone chipping out the border of feathers and flowers and vines, and then it even has a ribbed border underneath. I see four places around the edge where the wood appears to have chipped, but the cuts have healed over with time and blended into the dark patina. Two of those chips are shown in close-up above. Otherwise, on close inspection, it has the roughness and unevenness that distinguishes hand carving from factory made pieces, and there are some spots and stains, and a few signs of checking, especially on and near the handles. I'm not sure what kind of wood it is. But ... morepresumably something native to India, which is reportedly where it's from. I consulted with my sister on this, because we both remember it being in our grandmother's house in England when we were kids in the 1950's. Antique Brass Silhouette Container from India
This is most likely the bottom of a censor. There are three holes which I believe are for chains. Evidence of burned matter was inside before I cleaned it. And the charring is still visible. The outside is magnificently beautiful, with its silhouette design. It appears hand-made, with the brass wrapped over the sides from the bottom, and at the seams. Primitive pictures of an animal and a bird are part of the etching. It is almost 3.5" high and 4" wide at the widest point.

These are 2 made in India heavy brass duck/swan figurines.They have the makers name under the bottom but it is no legible. It reads Sandy and the first word is torn ed away. These are in great condition but needs cleaning. The smaller duck has the nose tilted downward and the larger 1 nose is in a upright position. Antique India Folk Art Wood Blanket Chest / Marriage Box Trunk Hand Painted
Hi. For sale an antique wood/ chest(circa 1800s/ early 1900) marriage box/ blanket chest. I am not positive of the boxes origin but I believe this is Folk Art. There are hand painted tulips on the edges and hand painted white flowers. The measurements are 17 inches wide or long. 9 1/2 inches in height, and 7 1/2 inches deep. The chest/ Box weighs 11 pounds. It does have wear which is to be expected for it's age. The paint on the flowers have faded in some places, there are a few cracks on the wood, one is on the bottom(does not go all the way through, and one is on the inside of the lid. Wood shrinks with age and cracks are normal. There are a few places where wood has chipped off(one on the foot) the lock is missing and there is a heavy patina especially the places that would get the most use(by the handles. The front side has a darker ... morepatina(see 2nd picture) than the back side, it was probably sitting up against a wall and was covered on the top. The feet did have felt pads at one time. The rivets(or nails) are old type nails. It is made very well, it is very heavy and sturdy and it closes fine. This is a beautiful vintage Indian brass teapot. It is engraved throughout. The spout turns left and right on this pot. I removed some of the tarnish on it so that you could see the work more clearly. I think the top of the pot is sealed with acrylic and I have left it alone. The spot I cleaned will soon return to the patina of the rest of the pot. This must have been made during British Rule as it is stamped with a"5" on the handle. That would be my guess.
