Austria, Opening Beer Stein Charm that has a small lever behind the lid that when pushed, opens the stein. This charm is about 50 years old and is hallmarked on the bottom with the.800 mark along with a hallmark of SF inside an elongated diamond. The beer stein is ornately designed all around the jug wtih Edelweiss flowers and little dots along the top and bottom. This charm has a dark silver patina to it typical of its age and measures 13/16" tall with the lid down, by 3/8" in diameter at the base, and 11/16" wide from front to back including the handle to the stein. Several photos above were taken close up to show you the style of the charm, the fancy designs and the enameled shield on the ... morefront, and to illustrate that the lid is secure and will hold open or remain shut depending on what you want. Needlebook16 Antique Enameled Sterling Silver Chatelaine Needle Case American* Circa 1900s This charming spring operated needlebook is sterling silver. Gilded inside. Both sides have guilloche engraved panels covered with enamel and hand painted with roses. It is stamped'Sterling' and has the maker's mark for W& S Blackinton of Meriden, Conn. It has wool lined pockets inside to hold pins& needles. It opens by pulling on finger ridges at the opening side and it snaps back together when released. The enamel has a tiny chip at the lower left edge. But is in otherwise excellent condition with no other damage. The silver has no dents or damage. ANTIQUE SILVER PLATE PICKLE CASTOR. RUBENA ENAMELED JAR, ALL-ORIGINAL, c1898 This beautiful RUBENA ENAMELED ANTIQUE PICKLE CASTOR is complete and all original. The frame was produced by the Brooklyn Silver Plate Company and is stamped on the base“Brooklyn Silver Plate. 71. The frame and lid are original to this castor set and are in excellent condition. There is of course loss to the silver which has resulted in a soft silver patina. There are no missing or repaired parts. The frame stands 10 ½ inches tall. The base of the frame is embossed with leaf scrolls and below that a pattern of leaves and berries. The top of the frame is more geometric. The three arcs and spokes at the top have flowers in the center. Spindles and rails adorn the top to give it a very geometric design. The jar is rubena(deep cranberry at the top fading to clear ... moreat the base) The rubena coloring on this jar is especially rich and dark. The interior of the jar is an inverted thumbprint pattern. The exterior of the jar is beautifully enameled with a large daisy and leaves on one side and large“bluebells” on the other side. The enamel is richly and thickly applied. NOTE: There is a FLAT CHIP at the top of the jar. I have shown it in a close photo. It is at the top where the cranberry color is rich and deep and is very difficult to see especially when the lid is in place. I believe it could be professionally smoothed. I will leave that to the discretion of the buyer. I have shown close photos of the chip. The lid and tongs are original. The lid rests inside the jar. Overall. This is a really fine antique Victorian Pickle Castor. The jar fits snugly into the frame and the lid is a perfect fit to the jar as well. The successful bidder pays shipping via USPS Priority Mail. This is a round tie tack. Hat pin, or lapel pin. The initials are FEP(might mean"Fraternal" or"Friendly" but I wasn't able to find out what FEP stands for) with a SILVER EAGLE underneath. It's enameled in blue with an image of a flying eagle. It's approx. 5/8" across(diameter) This pin was in a collection of pins ranging from 1963 to about 2000. Most of the pins in the collection appear to be from the 1970s and 1980s. I can't tell the age of this one. It's either newer than the others or in good condition for its age. And has some major loss in the white and black enameling that was on just the front of this charm. You can still see some of the black and white enameling, but most of it has chipped off from the rounded surfaces. This charm is silver(not sterling) but not magnetic, and is really sweet for a winter charm. This charm was on a loaded charm bracelet from the early 1970's, see other listings of school charms, sport and animal charms, and state travel charms, etc. This charm is unmarked and acid tested which did not reveal a sterling base. Made from a silver shilling of King Edward VII. The amount of time and quality of craftsmanship that went into making this brooch is incredible, since before being enameled the coin had to be hand engraved and the reverse design cut out. These recesses were then filled with paste made from ground up glass that was then heated in a kiln until the glass melted and fused. This is an old pin. Maybe Victorian, that is made of silver metal and an enameled circle. The pin depicts a hunting scene with two dogs, a rifle, a rabbit, and an oak leaf with acorns below. The enameling seems in very good condition, and the silver has some wear to the metal in a few areas. The pin is 1 1/4" long and 1 1/8" high. And it weighs 5.2 grams. Very good condition sterling silver ring signed Sterling ESPO. Curved ends have ridges that are black enamel which really sets off the graceful curves and swoops. Ring is a size 6.5.
