Lighted Orthodox Icon of the Theotokos Virgin Mary with Baby
This is a very rare and beautiful depiction of the Theotokos in a way that I've never seen before. It's a lighted icon. There are slits in a light burst pattern around the image that has a rotating color wheel behind it and it is light by a circular fluorescent light. It's under glass and the rest of the piece is made of a hard. Durable plastic. The frame is beautifully detailed and finished in a bright antiqued gold. It's a good size being 13 3/4" square. It has a depth of about 2 1/2" as it needs room for the motor for the wheel and the fluorescent light. It is a used piece, but it's in impeccable condition, not having a scratch on it.
