It is in original condition with a few items that do not distract from the overall look of the lamp. The base has manufacturing defects like white paint dots. A raised ceramic nub. Although there are no chips; I did discover a hairline crack on the back of the base(See pictures for all these items described) but y ou can barely see it. I also found that the rotary switch has crack in the housing that ... moredoes not affect the used of the lamp. T here is a few imperfections in the globe which was very common in these older lamps. The red lava in blue liquid flows well after warming up. All my Items are described to the best of my abilities. Costs depends of where it is to be shipped and if you decide on standard or priority shipping but would highly recommend fastest shipping possible. Might have to remove from original box and package in a different box because it is not very sturdy. I will of course send the original too. The base has a super super small white chip that the camera cant even make out because its too small, i believe it was from something like a penny edge hitting it a while ago, but it is not noticeable unless you looked really hard. The entire scene is metal, the black background is glass and the platform they are on is glass. 1950ca Cantinflas Mexican Movie Icon Painted Statue 4ft Lamp Post Barroom Lamp
This is an original. Not reproduction, in very good condition with the original paint. It came out of a cantina in Mexico from the Del Rio area. This statue itself is of Mario Mareno's famous character, Cantinflas, and stands just over 4 feet tall, 50" from bottom of base to top of metal lamp head on top of pole. The base is 20" long and 10" wide and weighs an excess of 100 pounds being made of thick plaster. Although the wiring for the lamp has been removed, it could easily be replaced. This 1950ca statue of the Mexican movie star is leaning against the lamp post dressed in his iconic apparel; small crimped hat, sagging patchy pants with sash straining to hold them up, shoes with toes leaking out, and a towel over his shoulder with a cigar clasped to it. The face of this piece also has a hole his in mouth to put a cigarette ... moreor small cigar into if desired. And to finish this realistic scene off, he is grasping a bottle of Carta Blanca.
