This hand made. Hand embroidered jumper dress is a lovely natural linen. It's blanket stitched using heavy twist cotton embroidery/crochet thread all around the neckline& armholes, with stitching finishing around where the shoulder straps attach(permanently) Each strap has 3 mother of pearl shell buttons stitched on with the same thread. Around the bottom of the skirt are 2 rows of greek key pattern hand embroiderd with cross stitch. It measures 43" around the hips- prety much the only place to measure. No spots, stains, holes, odors.

Listed are eight tiny delicate hand carved roses that string together to form a necklace. Bracelet or some other form of jewelry or crafts. They are made of what appears to be a natural. Not man-made, material. Under a 30x jeweler's loop they have tool marks on the delicate carvings and what appears to be graining on the backside. The carvings are delicate and detailed. Each piece has two holes through it for stringing and one of the pieces has a round relieved area on the back to tie the stringing together. See photos. They were found in the bottom of a cardboard box, along with other antique pieces, from a collector of fine antiques who is well into his twilight years. This hand thrown pottery bowl features a rich chocolate brown and bronze- burnt orange dripped glaze finish.It is not ceramic as many examples are and the finish is not extremely shiny. It is unmarked. But sometimes handmade pieces were not. The bowl is in excellent shape except for a chip on the inside of the rim shown in picture 7 to the right of the shadow. The white places on the rim are not chips, but rather dirt.The piece has an unusual shape to it.Some of the pictures show the bowl upside down in order for the glaze underneath to be seen by the camera. The bowl measure 8.5 inches at the widest point and is 5.5 inches tall. The mouth has a 5 inch diameter and the piece weighs almost six pounds. A very dramatic piece.

ARTS & CRAFTS Pair Candle Holders with Glass Globes Hand Crafted Metalware
The Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th and early 20th century challenged the Victorian ideals and favored the individual craftsman's work over mass produced items that were previlent in the Industrial Revolution and Victorian times. In the Arts and Crafts movement a single craftsmen or artisan would complete and an entire project or product himself from start to finish. These candle stick holders are made of pressed tin or aluminum(I think) and coiled copper create the handles. A punch was used to decorate the rim of the base and a thin layer of copper trims the base and neck of the candle holder. The globes do not appear too be original to the candle holders. I believe that they would have had a more bulbous bottom and would have had less decoration on the globe itself. The main focus of these holders is the METAL WORK. But these ... moreglobes will serve the purpose well as they fit snugly and compliment the overall design The holders. With globes, measure approx. 11" Tall and 5 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" deep. Without the globes, they measure approx. 9" tall. The Glass globes measure approx 9" tall. On the underside of the base, are some pencils marks from the craftsman who made these wonderful candle holders. The metal has a hammered, worn and handcrafted look to it and is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, showing only minor scratches and wear from age The Glass Globes have no cracks, but the top rims and bottom rim show small chips from years of use. I found this magnificent hand-hammered copper bowl at an estate sale. Other than wiping it clean with a wet cloth. I have done nothing to ruin the lovely patina that has developed over the years. It would make a great centerpiece or display item. I've pictured a couple of examples. The last picture is the bottom side of the bowl. There are no makings as to the maker. A magnet is slightly attracted to it. So it obviously contains some steel in addition to the copper. It is approximately 14 inches in diameter and about 2 1/4 inches tall. It weighs over 2 lbs.
