Up for auction here is a hand painted. Signed and dated porcelain plate that was produced by RS Germany with a blue mark. The hand painted decoration is done in the Arts& Crafts style. The image is a simplified art form of a stylized figure of a person in a nigh shirt and night cap carrying a candle stick holder. The outlines are a mix of late Art Nouveau and Mission era lines. The candleholder is done with real gold as well as the rim of the plate. The other colors are black, grey and light purple. The plate is initialed and dated by the artist on the backside. There are scratches in the bowl. One pretty significant. There also seems to be pitting on both the inside and the outside of the dish. however I don't know if that's normal. Original Brass Hand Hammered Coffee Pot, Arts and Crafts Style, possibly Russian
Wonderful antique vintage brass and copper handmade. Hammered, dovetailed, and lidded coffee pot. This was purchased from an antique vender in Maryland who only could provide that it was old. It is a hand-hammered dovetailed piece with a very fine patina. It appears to be tin-lined. See photos plus see the fine dovetailed construction! Its features match that of Russian pieces I have encountered, so I suspect it could be Russian. With no markings I cannot authenticate it, exact age unknown. However, its characteristics indicate that it is old and handmade. The coffee pot stands just over 9" high to the tip of the lid. The top opening of pot measures just over 2 ½" across, and the bottom of the pot measures just over 4" across. In very good condition with some age-related wear. Four beautiful copper vases and ewers most probably made in Mexico. Unmarked on bottom. Nice hand hammering. The smaller pitcher has a nice original Aurora brown patina(gorgeous! The taller ewer has a brown patina. And the other two vases look to have been polished at one time but are developing a good patina. The photo makes them look pinker than they aren't. From Pottery_Mad Auctions. Lovely Arts& Crafts Pin Cushion. Dark blue original velvet with applied Silver Rim that has a hand hammered finish. The Pincushion measures 2.5" diameter. The Pin Cushion is in very good condition. Some minor signs of age as you would expect. It is Hallmarked for Birmingham; the date letter is a little unclear but I think it is the lower case L for 1910, and maker's mark G& C Ltd for Green& Cadbury.
