This is an early 20th C. pair of andirons with matching fender in the Arts& Crafts style. They are made of hand-hammered brass over iron with shield and crest motifs. I have only seen a few sets of similar andirons and they were either for sale in London or had an English attribution. I have not been able to decipher the maker's marks which appear to be a stylized"D" Please see the pictures and perhaps you can provide some insight. Despite their mysterious attribution. They are very well made and required a significant amount of skilled hand work. Each andiron weighs 14.4 lbs and they measure 18.25"H. 10.5"W, 21"D. Their matching fender is 42"W, 12"D, and 7.5"H. I replaced the two fasteners on the fender, and t here are small spots of surface corrosion here and there(please see the pictures) ... moreAdditionally. The right andiron's spit holder spins freely but will remain in place when positioned. The left andirons spit holder was refastened some time ago with a patinated brass screw. This is a large(20.75 inches by 12.5 inches) and heavy(almost 3 pounds) solid copper Arts and Crafts. Hand-hammered copper tray. See details in pictures on handles. It has not been polished while I have owned it(about 15 years) There are some small pits in the finish, not surprising for its age. It comes from a pet-free and smoke-free home. This is a footed arts& crafts copper bowl. It is hammer raised and decorated with a hand hammered exterior. The interior is covered in fired opaque enamel in a sun design. This piece has a nice old patina and appears to have never been polished. The bowl weighs approx. 2 1/4 lbs. It is 4” in height with a diameter of 9 7/8” It has age and we would think it likely that it was produced in the first quarter of the 20th century. The bowl has no maker’s mark. The bowl is in good condition for its’ age. We've done nothing to it but apply a coat of wax for protection. The enameled interior has minor chipping to a small area under the rim edge and a few random pinhead size production pock marks. We consider this normal given the fragility of enamel and the fact that the bowl is probably close to a hundred years of age. The bowl is slightly ... moreout of round from age but has no dents or repairs. It is a nice piece and displays very well. This is a most unusual and collectible bowl. It has a few corrosive green copper spots that could be polished out.But is structurally fine. Also a normal amount of scratches for a used tray. See photos to verify condition. Weighs a little over 600 grams or around 22 postal ounces, so it has a fair amount of intrinsic metal value.
