Subsequent to 1880/1890 advances in materials negated the need for these cross members. Size with kiot: 44.5 cm X 38 cm X 4 cm(18 X 15 X 2 in. size of icon without kiot: 36.5 cm X 30 cm X 2 cm(14 X 12 X 1 in) weight with kiot is 1760 g(3.9 lbs) Provenance is Athens estate.
