Rare British Military Crown Badge or Plate from War of 1812!
Here is a very nice War of 1812 badge or plate for sale. This is a British badge in the shape of a crown. Possibly part of a shako plate or similtar badge from an officers uniform. It has an amazing amount of original gold gilt remaining. There is a hole in the top of the crown probably where it was sewn through a shako. And a hole/slot on the bottom where it may have been attached to another piece, like a number etc. There is a bit of a bend on the upper right portion of the crown. Measures 35 x 37mm. Guaranteed authentic and I offer a 14 day return on this item if you are unsatisfied. Must be returned in the same condition it was received for obvious reasons.

The round medallion also has markings, but we were not able to make out the year of the date because it is too light. Looks to say Torsch& Lee as the maker name. Upper bar pin is approx. 2.75" in length. Pin on back is intact and opens and closes fine. This piece is in good condition showing light wear.
