Blue & Olive Badge Ludwig Classic Chicago 13,16,22 Black Kit Set Player Drums
Hello. Here is a nice player Ludwig USA shell pack 13" Tom,16" floor Tom, 22" bass drum. The drums have blue olive badges that date the kit to late 70's. Black cortex wrap. 4 ply toms 6 ply bass These drums have a grey interior shell(see pictures) I think this was only offered for one year. I don't know if they are Ludwig classics or super classics but either way they sound amazing. There are plenty of nicks and bumps but the drums are structurally great. There is chrome peeling on the hoops but the lug casings look great. All tension rods and washers work great the bass claws and hooks are great. The bass spurs, floor tom legs, and Tom mount are included. Again this kit is not a collectors piece but plays and sounds great. All parts function as they should. Here is an obsolete 1-5/8” x 2-1/2” metal badge that I found during a recent trip to Chicago. The recessed black lettering on the front reads“Member A.I.R. Vol. Fire Dept. N.Y. A.I.R. is an acronym for the Allegany Indian Reservation. Located in Cattaraugus County, New York. The back of the badge has a pin and rollover C-type safety clasp. I believe this badge is authentic. I am always leery about fakes and fantasy items in the badge market so I checked for this one extensively on the internet. I found no other A.I. R. badges on open or closed eBay listings. BRITISH ROYAL OBSERVER CORPS ENAMEL & SILVER (?) BADGE MEDAL & BUTTONS
This is a beautiful set of a British Royal Observer's Corps badge and two buttons- one cuff size. The other coat size. The badge is enamel on a silver colored metal background. It is not hallmarked, so may be nickle, but is beautiful quality. The buttons are white metal, and appear to have the same emblem as the badge. They were made by Gaunt of London. There is a bright streak on the reverse of the badge, but other than that, it is flawless. The buttons are a bit grubby, but quite nice. This grouping is from the amazing collection of my late friend. Patrick Gariepy. He passed away in August, and I have been asked to help disperse his magnificent collection. 1960's ludwig supraphonic or acrolite keystone badge- chicago 14" aluminum snare
judging by the lug casings im leaning toward this to be a supraphonic butafter doing some research i have figured out i have here for sale is a early 1960's ludwig acrolite or supraphonic aluminum or brass 14" snare drum. It has some flaking around the rim flange area but its in decent shape for being this old. the paint finish is sort of like a dull gold and has a orange peel look to it and paint has a few spots where it got chipped off but nothing major. it is the keystone badge and says chicago on it. it has a serial# on it also. also from what i read the lug casings were aluminum and were discontinued after its first year of production and these have the aluminum casings. strainer/butt is original and im putting on new heads and snare wires once the drum sells. this drum will come to you complete and i took the rims and heads ... moreoff for pictures. please let me know if you want more detailed pics and i can send them to you. Nice Vintage Gretsch 50's 60's Round Badge Drums Kit Set

The mounted tom is 13x 9 and has double flanged hoops as opposed to die cast hoops. Which dates it back to the about the 1950s. The tom is a 3 ply Jasper shell. We replaced one of the mufflers, while keeping the other original muffler intact. The only other maintenance was minor cleaning of the drum and resealing the wrap. The heads were replaced with Remo Ambassadors(Not Pictured) The 16x16 floor tom is pretty good condition slightly showing its age. It is also a 3 ply Jasper shell, and again we replaced one of the mufflers and the heads with Ludwig Weather Masters. The chrome on the hoops is worn with nicks where the tom was mounted ... morefrom years of use(See Photo) The 22x 14 bass drum is a 6 ply shell and looks to be from the early 60s with no badge. Along with the rest of the drums. It does show its age. The rail consolette is in great shape. We replaced both hoops and claws and T-rods on one side of the bass drum. The cymbal arm is also not an original piece. The hardware is in good shape considering it is a 60 year old drum with signs of ageing. We replaced the head on the front with a Ludwig logo and with a Remo Ambassador on the batter side. All in all this is a great Vintage Gretsch kit that still sounds great after all these years! We played this kit for a few days after bringing it in and it still has that great vintage Gretsch sound. We put in a lot of time into this kit. And we think it is simply incredible. This is a great example of an army-issue. Service Cap to a Guardsman of the Irish Guards. It has been nicely shaped in true Guards style. The cap is a size 55 which is a medium size. It is in used but good condition. Its buttons are present. The visor is unscuffed and the chin strap works perfectly. The visor is fitted with a brass trim. On the interior it has a leather head band and it is fully lined with a brown nylon. The badge fitted to the front is made of staybrite and is in excellent shape. Weight is 286g. P&P to UK is £3.50. This is a great example of a British Army-issue beret to the Parachute Regiment. The size is 56cm. It has a leather band. The inner. Cotton lining has been removed at some point. The maroon beret material and the band are in used but very good condition. The badge at front is the white-metal version for Other Ranks and it is in excellent condition. There is also a maroon lanyard to the 1st Battalion. Made from a tubular cotton. In new condition. In addition. There is a formation patch to the 16th Air Assault Brigade. Made from a maroon-blue, woven silk. In used but very good condition. Weight is 110g.
