There is a wonderful write up concerning these dolls at this website: This doll is large at 19" tall. It is a mother holding a child, she is wearing a variety of textile fabrics mostly striped, she has sewn features as does the baby, the core of the doll is possibly corn husk or dried vegetation in some fashion, she has two arms wrapped in red cotton yarn one is holding the baby and the other is hanging down the side, she has multiple layers of the cloth to form her skirt with the outer layer in stripe, the next layer is darker with a stripe and the under layer is a blue and white stripe(see pic 11 which shows the first layer lifted up and the second layer which had an opening to see the third) there is a layer on the top which has the appearance of an apron(see pic 12) and has a shape in the details, the baby has a beautiful blue and tan fabric, the heads of both are covered in fine gauze weave at the forehead to the back of the head, strands come down the sides in braids, she measures about 19" tall. I am uncertain of the age but from the website it seems she is probably from around the 1950's but the fabrics are very early and the website tells of the process of finding these fabric from ancients sites in Peru. They are truly wonderful. Sold As IS I will combine shipping! This superb Peruvian piece has a pre-Columbian design in sterling silver on the lid. The speckled green enamel covers this piece inside and out. Two pair of vintage hand crafted dolls from Peru--authentic native costumes.
Don't be put off by my low seller number as I do have much experience. I have been helping my partner sell estates on Ebay for ten years. I have just started selling estates myself. Up for auction are these vintage character dolls. The taller ones are 8" and 7" tall. The woven ones are about 6" tall. The two pair are dressed in native Peruvian costumes from different areas of the country. Both women seem to be spinning and the young man on the right has the traditional Peruvian pan pipe. The taller pair are marked"Made in Peru" on the bottom. The smaller pair don't seem to be marked but are obviously from Peru. They are in fine vintage shape. These would be a great addition to a collection of dolls of all nations. I am selling a small collection of such dolls so watch my listings.

Hi this auction is for a beautiful handmade sterling and 18kt gold latin cat earrings. These are stamped sterl and 18kt on the back. I believe they are from Peru in the Laffie style( a famous metalsmith and designer) They are rather 3-d and have hand pierced work aroung the raised center drop. the center drop has a aztect type cat with two blue stone eyes. The cat is gold and the mythic figure at the top of the earrings are gold. they are about 1 3/4 long and peirced. They are lightweight and easy to wear. I haven't polished them as I think the original patina helps the relief of the cat stand out. these also look very cool on. hard to find this vintage work. thanks.

Up for auction is a silver Peruvian Pin/Pendant. The pin is 1 3/4 inches in diamenter and seems to portray the sunrise over the Andes mountains in the background with an alpaca walking in the foreground. In picture#2 you can see that the pin has a front part and a back part which makes it very attractive. On the back it is marked"825" and"PERU" The pin is in excellent condition. I don't know the age of the pin but it came from an estate where the owner regularly travelled to South America between 30 and 40 years ago. I have not polished it. But you might like to.

But I execute them with a modern vision, maintaining their original forms and lines. I use clay as a base for my work and decorate with engobes(colored liquid clay)After preparing the clay I begin to mold it by hand, giving form with the palette and stone(the stone helps me absorb the blows of the palette) Once I've achieved the form of the vase I set the neck and, while still fresh, I begin to paint the piece in engobes. I let it air dry for a few hours and then I execute the polish while still fresh.

Both have bright woven"blankets" on their backs and yarn"halters" around their noses. Their leather ears stick forward and they have very cute faces. The ankles and feet are wrapped with brown yarn. The mother is 5 3/4" tall and the baby is 3 1/2" tall. I am unsure of their age. But we have had them for a long time. I assume they are from South America, probably Peru. They are in very good condition and are from a smoke-free. Pet-free home. The fur on the mother is a little bit worn on two lower legs.

Vintage PERU Peruvian INCA TUMI Ceremonial KNIFE Axe PENDANT Gold Chain NECKLACE
They must have had"left overs" that they brought to the Vancouver Expo! The Tumi is a sacrificial ceremional knife distinctly characterized by a semi-circular blade. Made of either bronze, copper, gold-alloy, wood, or silver alloy usually made of one piece and used by some Inca and pre-Inca cultures in the Peruvian Coastal Region. In Andean mythology, the Moche, Chimu and Incas were descendants of the Sun, which had to be worshipped annually with an extravagant celebration. During this important religious ceremony, the High Priest would sacrifice a completely black or white llama. Using a tumi, he would open the animal's chest and with his hands pull out its throbbing heart, Tumi were produced for ritual use and for burials of elite members of society. In Peru, to hang a tumi on a wall means good luck. The tumi is the national ... moresymbol of Peru. This particular knife(or axe) pendant is in wonderful condition. Showing no signs of wear! The necklace chain, however, does show some slight gold loss. mostly near the back(clasp area) where it sits on your neck(shown in the pics) It is not very noticeable and wouldn't be seen when wearing the necklace. The pendant measures a little over 2 1/4 inch(nearly 16 cm) long and is 7/8 inch(22 mm) wide. It is marked"Peru World's Fair Gold Plate 1984" The necklace chain measures approx. 24 1/2 inch(62 cm) long and appears to also be gold plated. I have no idea what the base metal is of either the pendant or the chain ~ sorry. Pictured alongside a quarter for size reference. This item hasn't seen the light of day for many. Many years. packed away in a little jewelry pouch and forgotten. I'm hoping it's next owner will treat it better. At the very least, hang it on a wall for good luck! It is an early 20th century ceramic from a potter in Iquitos. Peru. The craftsperson made this beautiful vase with homage to the surrounding northeastern sector of the country where putting faces on pottery has been ongoing for thousands of years. Interestingly. The face along the rim has the classic ear-spools found in many ancient Inca face pots. Lined with black and blue lines/glazing. The piece has several chips and dings along the rim and lower sections. The bottom is most interesting as it shows three vertical lines and a few very small finger prints. HEAVY STERLING SILVER LOT VINTAGE ESTATE JEWELRY, ASHTRAY, PERU,SUGAR & CREAMER
This auction is for a large lot of sterling silver items from a Northern California estate. All jewelry is wearable and all items definitely need cleaning and are previously used. None of them are new. There is a Mayan Calendar ashtray, a sugar and creamer, very old cocktail forks and salt or sugar spoons from Peru, Siam Sterling bracelet and cufflinks, rings, earrings, necklace chains, pendants, and a charm bracelet. All pieces are marked. The full group weighs 315 grams or 11.1 ounces. That weight includes any stones or pieces that are weighted. The Mayan Calendar ashtray measures 2 3/4" across and 3 1/2" across where the holders are attached. The bottom is marked Plat-Mex-S.A. 925 Sterling Hecho En Mexico. It weighs 21.5 grams and in very nice condition. Would be a shame to use this as scrap. The creamer measures 3" tall ... moreand the sugar bowl measures 2 3/4" tall. They were together at the estate sale but I don't think they originally came as a set. The sugar bowl is 5" wide. Has handles on each side and is marked Sterling with a crown, a boxed H and a crest shape with an x and little symbols inside, weighted, and the number 83. The creamer is also 5" wide, marked with an M inside of backwards Ks, Sterling reinforced with cement and the number 3277. Both show some aging and have dents, but still pretty and useable or nice scrap pieces. They weigh 170 grams together. The two cocktail forks and little spoons are all marked 925; the spoons have Llamas at the top and say Peru. Lots of symbols and designs in the spoon bowls. The forks are a little over 3 long and the spoons are a bit under 3" long. The Siam bracelet is 7" long and marked Siam Sterling. Also a hallmark; the Siam cufflinks measure just about an inch across and are marked Sterling Made in Siam, also another marking that looks like AMF RCO with a symbol in between. Unique from estate Vintage Handmade ? Alpaca ? Llama Peru Round Rug Wall Hanging
I loved this when I saw it. It looks old. Unfortunately. I was unable to get any history. It seems like real fur? and the backing.well, it almost reminds me of a tribal type of handmade or crafted rug.but, again, I really do not know. I love the llama in the middle and the design. It's a round rug and measuring the middle, side to side, it measures approximately 36 inches wide. Unfortunately, there's some places of wear, discolorations, staining? not sure if it's actually staining? or would come clean? It does NOT have a bad smell or I wouldn't have purchased it. The backing almost has a suede like feel? not sure how to describe. There is black spotting, discolorations, from age or wear or? not sure. But, again, it doesn't(DOES NOT) have a bad smell to it. There's a few places with a tear or hole and I tried to get ... morecloser-up pictures of the worst places. These places could be sewn back together or secured back together and wouldn't even be that noticeable. I think it's still neat the way it is just because it does look older and is unusual/unique.
