This gorgeous Walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival Period Marble Top Hall Tree is adorned with a magnificent incised and dimensionally carved spade and scroll center crown with carved center shield along with elegant drapes and a fancy pediment that consists of crown moulding. Along with raised burl panel accents. The shoulder area beneath the crown is graced with fully turned drop finials. The mirror is framed in beautiful moulding. Eight lovely period turned wooden hat and coat posts are found on this beautiful Hall Tree. Plant stand, or jardiniere. Dates from the 1890s or possibly earlier. French. Elegantly hand carved pedestal with Rococo and Empire influences ending on 3 hairy paw feet. This has its original removable metal liner with handles(pic#5 and pic#6) Detailed carving with scrolls and leaves. Original caning is in excellent shape on the top. Condition is good for age. This originally was gold water gilded. It has been painted gold a couple times over the years, but you can still see traces of the water gilding in places. For a piece that is this large and ornate the carving is in good shape. I did see 2 small areas on the top of one side that might have been repaired in the past(pic#11) ... moreI also notice 2 places where original pieces were re-attached. There are a few age cracks. Scuffs, dings, and minor paint loss. There is old wood worm damage on the base in spots(pic#10 is the worst of it) The paw feet are a little loose. As mentioned it has been painted gold a couple times over the years. This is the BEST antique giltwood planter we have come across in all of our years. It is an incredible piece. This is a very nice antique oak hall tree. I'm not sure of the exact date. But likely very early 1900s. I believe it to be an American made piece. It is made of solid quarter sawn oak. It has been refinished. Pretty carving work at the top. Mirror and hooks appear original. Beveled mirror is in excellent condition with one small area near the top showing de-silvering. Drip pan is missing, but one could be added. Hall tree is in very good to excellent condition overall. A narrow piece for a small area! We believe this hall tree stand to have its original finish and its original beveled mirror. This hall tree measures 85 inches in height.42 inches wide at widest point and 13 inches deep and weighs approximately 85 lbs. The actual mirror portion measures 23 inches in height by 14 3/4 inches wide.There are 10 original turned oak hall/ hat hooks that each project out 5 inches, and the original square metal drip pans at the base each measure 6 1/ 2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. Combined the piece measures approximatley 108 1/2" tall and 39 1/4" wide. The top mirror frame is 89 1/2" x 37" The mirror is 73 1/2" x 26 1/2" The mable is 39 1/4" x 14 1/2" and the base that it sits on is 38 1/2" wide x 17 3/4" deep. Walnut Rococo style Victorian shaving stand
This wonderful walnut shaving stand is in a Rococo revival style and was produced during the height of the Victorian period. It stands 70 inches to the top of the mirror. The case with the drawer is 17 inches across and 12 inches deep. The top of the case is 41 inches from the floor. The drawer is a nice dovetailed construction. The mirror moves front to back on a swivel. The mirror lifts out of the case and rests on a turned post. There is a split underneath the mirror on the seam. I believe it just needs to be tightened. Also. There is a circle on top of the case that looks like it may have been stained with something placed on it. Otherwise the piece is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Excellent VIctorian Ornate C.I. Plant/Lamp Stand: Onyx Top and Bottom Shelves
This solid cast iron plant/lamp stand is late Victorian(c. 1885) It apears to be consistent with American design and manufacture. There are no found maker's marks on the stand. The stand appears to be in great condition with no apparent breaks. Damage, repairs or missing parts. The gold paint is in excellent condition for the use and age. Antique Victorian Floor/Corner Etegere What Not shelved stand: Walnut with inlay
This late Victorian corner etegere/what not shelved stand is in great found original condition. The walnut wood finish is original and has a fine patina. The pierced. Reticulated wood workings are detailed and ornate. Each shelf has a scalloped edge on it(on the second shelf an approx. two inch piece is missing) The marquetry inlay from the softer fruitwoods is hand cut and then embedded into each shelf surface. The inlay on each graduated shelf is in great condition. The entire piece is tight, and I have found no repairs, breaks or other damage. Southern Ohio estate, we are able to offer this exceptionally nice, and quite early, circa 1860's- 1880's era ~ VICTORIAN CAST IRON HALL TREE, UMBRELLA& CANE STAND, SIGNED JOHN MOORE NEW YORK ~ Please be sure to check out all of the 12 pictures we took of it. This is by far the nicest and most unusual example of an original 1870's era, Victorian Cast Iron Hall Tree stand we have ever had the opportunity to offer for auction. It measures 87 inches tall to the top of the fancy pomegranate fruit basket figural finial. The lower"hat rack" arm" by the mirror" with 4 hooks, measures 41 inches across and the top arm with 4 hooks measures 26 inches across. The base measures 28 inches wide by about 12 inches deep. There are a total of 9 very fancy large cast iron hooks which are ... moreall original to the hall tree. I even believe that the mirror is possibly original as well, with only some minor discoloration to the silvering. It has the original removeable bottom tray to rest your canes and umbrellas. The tray is signed ~ JOHN MOORE N.Y.~ on the bottom as well as signed on the back of the hall tree ~ JOHN MOORE N.Y.~ The over all condition is very nice with the exception of one broken hook on the bottom tier of cane rests- see picture# 11. It is actually not all that easy to tell because it is an inside hook. There is also one hook on the center column near the figural Lion's Head which has some damage. All of the large eight cast iron hooks on the top two sections are in perfect condition with no damage! The entire body and base is in perfect condition as well, with no cracks, chips or repairs. The patina to the cast iron is all original and we left it in 100% all original, as found, untouched condition. This would make a wonderful addition to any grand foyer entrance or a wonderful piece to display some of your prixed walking sticks or Victorian umbrellas and hats. masculine antique quartersawn oak hall tree bench 48 inch wide mint original
for auction is a wonderful hall tree or bench. more apt to be called a hall bench due to its size. this is a masculine piece or more fitting for a man's taste i would say. it is very heavy. Well constructed, thick, and strong. it has wonderful quartersaw oak used in its building. the hall bench is 48 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 18 inches from the floor to the top of the seat, and 78 inches tall. it is a true antique, built circa 1890-1910. it has a lift lid with three hinges and has a lot of storage space. as i said it is very well built and has no wiggles or wobbles. i think you could drag it behind a truck and it would stay together. as far as i know it is all original, has great patina with a nutmeg color to it from age and wonderful and abundant quartersawn flake in the boards. the front feet have a spider like appearance to them, ... moresomething not seen often. it has lots of molding and trim all over it as well as a nice shell crest with neat carvings on either side of it. the mirror is probably original but has been resilvered. hall trees this size are hard to come by and are usually pretty pricy. i am starting this one for what i paid years ago. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. i can help arrange shipment should that be of benefit to anyone. good luck. i can supply more pictures should anyone desire to see something in more detail.

Description: Being offered for sale is this fabulous early Victorian Rosewood Needlepoint Adjustable Pole Screen/ Fire Screen circa 1865.We believe this piece to have its original finish and the framed needlepoint is just beautiful and very nicely done. The needlepoint is framed with a unique scalloped edging with it original gold liner and old fabric backing. You can adjust the height at the back by loosening the knob on the brackets allowing you to raise or lower the framed needlepoint. The top portion of the pole offers a turned finial at the very top and a fantastic graduated spooled base that rests on a rosewood round base with three tripod feet. A truly wonderful period piece to add to your Victorian Decor. Measurements: This piece measures 64 inches in height to the finial ... moreat the top of the pole. The framed needlepoint measures 19 inches wide by 21 inches high. The needlepoint portion measures 17 1/4 inches high by 15 1/4 inches wide and this piece weighs approximately 18 lbs. Condition: This firescreen is in fine antique condition with the only apology I see being a small piece of the scalloped frame around the needlepoint is missing on the right bottom corner which I have shown in a close-up picture. The brackets on the back that hold the needlepoint area to the pole appears to have some of the screws replaced over the years. But other than the normal signs of usage and marks of character you normally find in pieces of this age thats it.just a beautiful elegant piece of 19th century craftsmanship. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique, Victorian era, French 2 tiered plant stand. This lovely stand is solid brass with gold gilt finish. It features very unique floral design. It has three legs, all of which are long stems with blooming flowers. The petite feet are clawed. The two shelves are nicely shaped and feature a hammered design around the border. The centers have etched flowers. This is a very nice and beautiful old piece. It is in very good condition and is sturdy with no wobbling. There is evidence of use as there are a couple of water stained areas on the shelves(see photos) They do not take away from the beauty of this stand. The stand is not marked.
