Antique Payson Mfg Co. 360 Degree Cast Iron Wooden Wheel Furniture Casters
PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND TERMS BEFORE BIDDING! FREE SHIPPING! Up for auction are Five antique/ vintage furniture cast iron wooden wheel casters(5) total Circa 1880’s. Recovered from an antique furniture carpenters inventory. They are we believe to be Payson Mfg Co. 360 Degree cast iron casters with wooden wheels. An extensive research of the web produced none like it and only two similar larger casters made by Payton. The casters are stamped P Mfg Co. Nov 22 81 as best as can be seen. But the full name cannot or was not included on these. Two of the five still have the original wooden wheels; the other three have fallen off. They are unique because the three 1/4” mounting holes are hidden within the skirted swivel base which holds the disc shaped Babbitt bearings. The mounting screws are screwed in via the underside access hole ... moreas it rotates around(see pictures) The wooden wheels can be replaced because casters of this era were“pinned” in place. Remove pin insert wooden wheel and reinsert pins blunting the ends. The dimensions are as follows(approximately) Overall measurements of each caster is 2- 3/4' tall by 1– 1/2'wide. Mounting Plates are 1– 1/2" in diameter and the stem insert is 1” tall. The wheels measure 1– 1/8” by 5/8” and provide 1– 3/4” overall clearance furniture. Good condition for their age. All spin freely without extensive rust issues. They were cleaned and lightly oiled and can be easily restored for authentic antique furniture restoration, but some want to maintain the antiquity and current condition so we are leaving restoration decision to you. Antique DRAWER PULLS & ESCUTCHEONS - Architectural Salvage - NICE BIG LOT!
Whenever we see old antique knobs or hardware or drawer pulls we always try to rescue them! This is a miscellaneous lot of what we call Architectural Salvage. an assortment of drawer pulls and escutcheons. The big ovals in front measure 5-1/2 inches across and their two screw holes on the back measure 4-3/8 inches on center. Next there are 3 pretty"rosette" escutcheon pieces that measure 2-1/4 inches across. They have a little hole for attaching a drawer pull. There are 6 drawer pulls and 8 separate little round escutcheons and there is one odd dangle type pull that is pretty crusty and needs cleaned. It has an interesting design on it. 8 Antique Vintage Round Metal Furniture Remnants Hardware Ormalu #981
Up for sale are eight matching metal vintage hardware furniture remnants recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. They are offered in good used condition and feature a nice reticulated form. It has a pewter colored finish. They appear to be remnants from furniture hardware, as there is a hole in the center where the pull might be. This hole has an approximate diameter of 1'8" in size. It is in a round snowflake form. These pieces are made of metal, but it does not attract a magnet. They each measures approximately 2 7/8" in diameter. The back is marked, Japan" with the number"981" A very nice find, great for reuse on any piece of furniture or to be repurposed to accent any steampunk style project. Lots of primitive antiques, farm finds, folk art, and the usual wacky Maureen stuff- you don’t want to miss this week! I just loved the look and feel of this one- regardless of whether or not you need it for a chair! It tells its own story- advertising on the top. Milwaukee Chair Company Pat. Oct. 20, 1914. It also has the number 21 and the word"Pull" on the knob that comes out of the wheel. This knob is attached to a spring that works quite well- pulling out, and then springing back into place when you release it. The piece is round, made from cast iron, measures 4 5/8" diameter without the tab, and weighs a hefty 1 1/2 lbs. It is in excellent ... moresolid and sturdy condition, with an old black finish that shows wear in some spots, and very light surface rust where the metal is exposed. It's minor. There's a fair amount of dust and dirt on the piece- it could use a good cleaning- I have not tried to clean it in any way. It's a neat old industrial piece of cast iron! 4 Universal #5 metal wheel casters Vintage furniture rollers Swivel bearings
This is a matched set; all are marked Universal#5. They are supposed to have swivel action. But it is catchy on all of them. They will need a little restoration to be fully functional. About 3 1/4" top to bottom. Wheel diameter is about 1 1/4" wide. Not all of the wheels are perfectly round, examples shown in the pictures. I don't think any of them are way off though. Vintage Cast Metal Casters w/Double Metal Wheels – Set of Four
You are bidding on one lot of four seemingly very old casters by the Phoenix Caster Company of Indianapolis. They are cast metal and each caster has two 1.25” metal wheels. They are each about 2” total height with a 2.25” x 1.75” platform with four holes to screw or bolt into the furniture. These are old casters and have some storage grime. Light surface rust, and scruffs and scratches. They need a thorough cleaning but all are in good sturdy condition. There are 8 wheels total and all turn freely and the platform pivots as well. 2 swivel casters and 2 stationary casters from rear projection TV used salvaged
This is a set of casters taken off of a large rear projection TV. They still roll and swivel well. This would be good for any project you have where you want to make a piece of furniture mobile that currently isn't. I don't know what the load rating is on these. But I know the TV was very heavy. The wheels are about 2" in diameter. The ones in the cups are held in by four way screws, so they can be taken out of those if needed. They have some rust on them, so they will need to be hit with a wire brush or sand blaster then painted before being reused. The TV was set up so that the swivel casters were used to steer and the fixed ones were followers. Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for looking.

These are large, 6 ounce each pulls that measures 6 7/8" long and 2 1/4" tall. The space between the screw holes is 5" center of hole to center of hold. Some of them have screws in them, some do not. All are in excellent solid and strudy condition with age darkened patinas and oxidation that can be seen in some spots too. I sure hope somebody knows what this is! ^) I picked it up about 10 years ago thinking I could find a use for it. But never did(you know how that goes! It could be part of an old stove/fireplace…I’m not sure. I thought about using it for mail. But couldn’t figure out how to mount it:^) It’s cast iron. And in great antique-y condition. IOW. Great patina…slight rust, but no extreme pitting, cracks, chips, etc. Pretty carved design on the face with coiled pull. It measures 8”w x 6.25”h; the depth is 1” at the bottom and angles out to 3"D at the top. Please keep in mind that you pay what I pay in postage costs! Large. See-through, fretwork panel. Circa 19th century. 2 matching, recessed panels surrounded by bevelled edges. Sawtooth trim along top and beveled sawtooth trim along bottom. 4 fancy Victorian squarish stamped brass drawer, door pulls 2"" OC LOOK
A lot of 4 late 19th century or early 20th century brass drawer or door pulls with a lot of embossed fancy detail. Unusual shape and style. All have the bails. The basic shape of backplates is almost a square but measure approx. 2-3/4 x 3" at widest areas. The backplates are stamped brass and the bails are cast brass. Have great original darkening or patina. Which I wouldn't think of cleaning or polishing. Have some greenish oxidation and varying surface darkening. Looks like they are meant to be oriented with the 3" dimension up and down and the 2-3/4" horizontally. The bolt holes are 2" on center. The only thing not original is that only one of them has one kind of mounting bolts with the pan head type heads and the others have the tapered underneath side with flat heads. I don't know which style would have been ... morethe original but it is easy to find old bolts though so shouldn't be a problem finding all to match if you feel that is necessary. Mounting bolts have surface rust but still work. When the bails are seated tightly against the backing plate they are made such that you can't really get your fingers between them so you have to just pull with your finger tips. old wooden table legs/easily restorable
These can be easily re-done because they only have one coat of paint. I believe the wood they are made of is pine. Total length is 29 1/4" and they are 1 5/8" diameter at the round widest part of the leg.

Vintage Set of 4 Steel Wheel Casters Swivel around the Stem
Set of 4 vintage steel wheel casters with steel yokes have swivel posts in good working condition. These casters measure 2.75 inches long including the post. The caster posts are meant to fit inside a socket with 1/4 inch inside diameter 1 3/8 inches long. They would be used to support a mid weight piece of furniture and raise its height by 1.25 inches. A caster set like this could have been used on a table where the post was inserted into a socket in the leg. The socket could have been metal or just a hole drilled in the wood as sometimes seen on contemporary furniture. Please view the pictures carefully. EXTRA LARGE VICTORIAN FLUTED SOLID MAHOGANY PEDESTAL DINING TABLE BASE W/ LEGS
This is a very nice antique Victorian pedestal style dining table base. It is solid mahogany and has a fluted pedestal. It is stamped with the number 100 on the bottom. It originally had a 50" top, it measures 25" high, it is designed to have castors which would add some height, measuring across the center of any two legs it is 26 1/2" and the top brackets are 14 1/2" wide x 12" deep, the legs are 2 3/4" wide. Some of the hardware on the top is missing as you can see in the pictures. Overall it is in good condition, some scuffs, nicks and dings to the legs which you can see, no splits or cracks to the pedestal or feet and no repairs. It will be shipped with the legs removed to help insure that it arrives safely and to reduce the shipping cost, there are 8 screws to each leg and we will mark each leg and it's ... moreoriginal location for re-assembly. If you do not want the legs removed you are welcome to pickup or make your own arrangements for delivery. Shipping by Fed Ex ground would be 29.80 including insurance to the lower 48 states.
