Antique Victorian 7 Piece Chamber Wash Stand Set Pink Flowers
Imagine having to go through your morning grooming and toilet routine without indoor plumbing. This antique ceramic(probably ironstone) toilet or chamber set with pretty pink and white flower decoration was a necessity in every Victorian home until the turn of the last century. Rural Americans used wash sets well into the 20th Century. Nowadays a set like this will often be found accessorizing an antique washstand or in a country bed and breakfast. There are seven matching pieces(11 pieces total including the lids and trivets) wash basin or bowl, large wash pitcher, covered chamber pot, covered soap dish, shaving mug, medium waste pitcher which is a duplicate of the larger one, toothbrush holder jar with no handles. Two ceramic inserts or trivets are included, one is a soap saver for the soap dish. The lovely floral decals are on both sides ... moreof each vessel. Lavish gold sponging decorates the rims and handles. The china bodies of all but the insert pieces have relief molded acanthus leaf and double vertical line decoration. The regular size coffee cup in two of the photos are to give an idea of size and scale. All pieces are marked underglaze in green"Vienna" The shaving mug only has an additional mark in gold. The number 625 1/4. The set was probably made in the USA from the 1880s to early 1900s. Vienna is most likely the pattern name. My Kovel's and US pottery marks books don't list this mark. I found only three minor areas of damage to the entire set. The chamber pot lid has a small chip on the rim. 1/4 by 3/16 inch- you can see it in photo 5 just below center right on the lid rim. The white spot to the left is a reflection, the one to the right is the chip. The basin has a shallow, small glaze nick on the rim, very hard to see or feel. Toothbrush jar has a shallow glaze nick or scratch on the edge of the foot. None of the pieces have any hairlines, cracks, repairs, or crazing. Shipping includes signature confirmation and insurance. This item is for local pick up only. Antique Deutsch. Tschachtli, Co. oak wash stand with nicely turned bobbin legs. This is a nice historic piece for the Hornell. NY/ Hornellsville/ Steuben County New York area. From what I’ve found on the net. The company operated a furniture factory on the corner of Main and Pardee streets in Hornell starting about 1871. After Mr. Tschachtli retired. Sometime before 1891 apparently, the name of the company was changed to J.M. Deutsch& Co. Based on this information. And the tag on the wash stand that lists Deutsch. Tschachtli, Co. as the manufacturer. It would appear that this item was manufactured ... moresometime between 1866 or 1871 and about 1891. So it is reasonably old. I am unable to determine when the company went out of business. One solid reference indicates that it was still in business in 1919. I did see one reference to it in 1927 but I could not actually read the reference to see if it indicated that J.M. Deutch was still in business. I would think that this would be a nice piece for a Steuben County/ Hornell/ Hornellsville history buff to own. I’m sure that history buff would have a lot more to say about the history of the company. While researching the wash stand I found. On ebay, an envelope addressed to one Adua Banyer( in Dundee, NY bearing the company’s advertisement. The cancelation does not provide the date but the stamp is an 1882 George Washington 2-cent stamp. The advertisement/logo places the"warerooms" on the corner of Main and Church Streets and the factory on"Foot of Main Street. Hornellsville New York" I am including the envelope with the wash stand as an extra. In addition to the history buff. This might be a nice item for anyone in the area who has an ancestor who worked for Deutsch. Tschachtli, Co. or J.M Deutch& Co. It'

Antique chestnut washstand from the turn of the 20th century. The top measures 30.75 inches wide by 16.5 deep. The piece is 34.75 tall to top of splash board. The small drawers measure 11.5 inches wide by 7.25 tall by 14.25 deep. The door is 11.5 inches wide by 15.5 tall. The only issue to report is that the back splash may be a replacement. The condition overall is very good: the top was lightly sanded and varnished and the bottom underside was braced with steel right angles. There are no casters. Since shipping is not economically feasible the buyer has the right to inspect the piece and receive refund if not satisfied. No returns after acceptance.

Up for sale is a very nice vintage wood Victorian style wash stand and porcelain pitcher and bowl for washing. These were used in homes before bathrooms. You poured the water from the pitcher into the bowl or basin and washed up. You stored the bowl on top and the pitcher on the bottom shelf usually with towels. I've seen other wash stands but never with the original pitcher and basin. Pretty unique piece. Especially in this condition. Stand is 2 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" tall x 2" deep. Pitcher is 1 1/4" tall x 1 1/2" wide from handle to spout. The bowl is 1 3/4" wide and about 3/4" deep. Very nice set. I am not an expert on doll house furniture. Wood Wash Basin Stand With Pink/White Pitcher And Bowl
This is a beautiful vintage pitcher and bowl set on wood stand. It does have a couple of small flaws that I was able to show pretty well in pictures. One of the candles holders looks like it has been glued and one of the towel holder rods has also been glued. I placed tape over the towel rod places to give added strength. The rest of it is in very good vintage condition. Wood polishes up very nice and pitcher/bowl set is beautiful. I found no chipped areas or cracks in the pitcher set. This large vintage is good condition considering the age. The pitcher probably dates to 1940 or older. It is totally intact. There is no discoloring. No nicks or chips. The pitcher is Franconia La Porcelain and measures 11 inches tall to tip of pour spout. The pitcher opening is 8 x 6 inches. Wash basin shows more wear. There is discoloring near the rim and in the bottom of the basin. It also has a hairline crack. And a nick under the rim. The bowl is solid. The bottom is marked Greek. Fine ANTIQUE DANISH marble-top bow-front burl-wood WASH STAND cabinet
Up for auction here. By private party, is an antique Danish marble-top wash stand in excellent, well-cared-for condition. This piece is a bow-front, carved, burl wood cabinet, with a shaped two-tier marble top. I believe this cabinet dates from the early-to-mid 20th Century, and that the wood is either cherry or walnut. This wash stand was originally purchased for $625 in the 1970s and has not lost any of its intrinsic value. The design features two curved sliding drawers in front, with a large interior space behind the two curved, hinged door panels below. The marble top is removable for transport. The marble itself is a fine white marble. Somewhat scarce in the US, and is in near-pristine condition. These wash stands often doubled as baking cabinets. And they make for excellent cocktail or wine service bars, as well. Or they can be re-fashioned ... moreinto modern bathroom wash stands, too. Very fine wood surfaces delicately hand-crafted and shaped. T he finish is a light nut brown with Nordic tones. This piece is in excellent condition all the way around. The two or three flaws that are evident are very minimal. One of the front handles feels a bit loose. And another handle needs a replacement screw. There are no significant bumps or dents anywhere, and the only blemish on the finish is a bit of rubbing that shows on the edges of the foot pedestals. The dimensions are 38 inches in width and 21 inches in depth. The marble top sits at 29 inches off the floor. With the marble backsplash rising an additional 10 inches. Vintage English Victorian 6 Piece Wash Stand Set
Up for auction is a beautiful wash stand set. Unmarked. But I was told it was from England. The bath set includes a pair of candlesticks, tray, drinking glass, and a pitcher and bowl. There is a hairline crack, on the backside of the bow, which the pitcher hides, it still holds water, without leaking. The other 5 pieces are in perfect condition. The set is a nice large size, the bowl is about 15" in diameter and the pitcher is 10+" tall. This set would look beautiful on a marble topped wash stand. It is: 38" high. 17" across. 14" deep, Has a 10" diameter opening for a washbowl Weight: About 12-14 pounds(because of the legs it's hard to put on my scale for a truly accurate measurement but it's not terribly heavy- pine is light) The backsplash may have been repaired at some point; it looks to me as if there is a repair along the backsplash as it was one piece of wood and there looks to be a crack in it that may have been glues at some point. *LPU* Vintage IDEAL DOUBLE WASH TUB galvanized metal on stand laundry clothes
Here is a vintage double wash tub with stand. Marked with raised lettering"IDEAL" on both sides of each tub(total of 4 times) Great for use or for vintage decoration. These are hard to find and one with the original lid is very hard to find. I filled it half full of water and it held the water fine(see photos#11 and#12) These were used by old timers to wash and rinse almost anything- laundry mainly but also dishes and cookware. Parts, and all sorts of other items. Useful as a beverage cooler, flower planter, and our favorite use around here for our nightcrawlers(worms) for fishing bait. Overall about 33 inches wide. 20 inches deep, and 32 inches tall. The tubs are each about 16 x 19 x 15 inches with rounded bottoms. Tubs have bottom drain holes and faucets and they work. The faucets have a drip leak but should be easy fix with new ... morewashers. The legs are sound and have factory metal cross strap braces. The rollers on bottom of legs are all good and all turn. 3 of the castors rotate/turn and one is not turning(froze-up) Has been repainted long ago by someone and this paint shows age and wear. Overall very good condition. No serious dents. No broken nor repaired parts except one castor. It has aging and wear. See photos for condition. Local Pickup only. No shipping.
