This vintage desk phone by Western Electric. It is the F1 desk model constructed of Black Bakelite. All of the components are inside the case so it did not need a seperate box as did predecessors. This phone electronically advanced and ahead of the game back in the day. This phone has a great deco design and componently. Still appears to be sound. Please see pictures- I couldn't test it as it has the original four prong plug and original cloth cords which are in excellent condition. There are no snipped wires inside and no corrosion. Up for sale we have a very unusual Federal brand desk phone. Crank style, no rotary, made with a solid steel case. The phone weighs in at a little over 9 pounds, so it's well built, maybe military use, I really don't know. It's in good shape nice handset with a good cable, still has a 4 wire hookup cable that's in good shape, the case has just a little blue paint at the bottom should be easily removed. The crank works, the phone does not make any type of ringing noise, so I don't think it has a ringer built in it. Shown in picture 2, is for you to write your ring down number, but this one has never been used. In picture 1 you can see the hearing and talking part of phone. I left it hooked on so you could see what kind of cord it is. I bought this at a yard sale& though someone might want to rehab it. It has not been touched in quite a while it seems& has some damage to its desktop with a few paint splashes. The darker variations on the wood are just droplets of rain that came off of my garage door right before taking the photos. The metal is in need of TLC as it shows signs of wear. The drawer under the chair comes in and out. The desk moved back and forth with an adjustable lever. I'm not an antique person but will ship it in pieces or all together based on your request. The original Atlas sticker is missing and based on the type of paint scheme and design would suggest a late 1960's model as does the cast iron base stamped with PP 763 D. This is a cool older phone A neon light up desk phone This measures about 7 1/2" by 7" This phone glows a great purple color. Has a separate plug. So you need a wall jack AND an electrical plug to operate this phone. You can set it 3 different ways. It can"glow" all the time, it can glow only when someone is calling in, or you can shut off the glow all together. The photos show it darker than it is. It is a rich deep marble purple. The neon is a bright purple. We tested this bad boy. Calls out fine. Receives calls fine. Not crystal clear like today's digital phones, but sounds okay. Nice ring, we tried it out on just glowing, worked fine, and with just a glow with an incoming call, that worked ok too. I don't know the age of it, it is not marked. Here is a set of vintage steel wire desk top office in-out paper tray baskets. This set was little used and is steel. But only one has the“Steel” tag. The size is approximately 14” long. 10” wide and 3” deep. They were purchased new in the early 1980’s, barely used and then put in dry, smoke free storage. It is time for them to move on to someone who will put them in service and who appreciates the retro look; plus they are steel and have the original“rubber” feet or bumpers. Two drawers are highlighted in light burl wood. The original folding legs were lost. And these curvy carved legs were added in the 1950's"New" legs and are in perfect proportion to the desk size. 37.5 inches long. 15 inches wide, 32 inches high. Style, etc) to hang it on without any success. The reason being- I really like it. It's a dandy. It's un-restored. Hardwood(not quite sure which) The iron is semi-ornate foundry quality. The wood resembles gun/rifle-stock. I'd like to tell you more about it if I could. If anyone can offer additional info. I'm all ears(and eyes) please do. Dimensions are(at furthest points) 30" Wide/ 15" High from Top shelf to Bottom of Iron/ 8" Deep. The 2 face surfaces. Of where the iron actually attaches(the only contact) to a desk, each measure 2 1/4" when measured outside-to-outside through the 2 upper screw-holes. ... moreMeasured top-to-bottom(as if mounted) each measures 4 1/2" ie- height = 2x width.
