Vtg. Antique child's chair. Wicker cane children's Victorian furniture, decor! This antique chair is a charmer! From the days of gentility and decorum! This little chair was a copy of an adult's cane chair. And was a cherished one! It is made from bent wood, cane and wicker or reed. It may very well have been handcrafted, as I have never seen another like it. It measures 20" high. 19" wide, and 11-3/4" deep. At one time the seat wore through and was covered with a piece of corduroy, which has proven to be pretty sturdy stuff! It has some of the most unique construction I have seen, and looks like it may have been constructed of bits and pieces of what was handy or available at the time. Three of the legs have a metal tip, another thing that makes this chair different! Most of the chairs frame was wrapped in the ... morewicker, and over the years much of it has come off. The chair measures 34” tall from the floor to the top of the seat back. The seat is 17 ¾ inches wide by 17 inches deep and has a needlepoint cushion that measures 15 inches wide by 14 inches deep. The top of the seat cushion for sitting measures approximately 18” from the floor. The base of the legs measure approximately 16” across and 15” deep. U nfortunatley the buyer of this chair was not able to pay for it due to circumstances. There for I have relisted it today. A beautiful rare children's(small child) victorian chair. According to my reseach about it. This is an antique from around the 19th century. It has been restored and reapolstered with velvet material. Beautiful Robert Mitchell Cincinnati Ohio - Victorian Childs Chair PROJECT
I bought this chair because I thought it was very cool at a garage sale. It is a very finely crafted piece of furniture. The back of the seat has inlays on it and most of the finish is mostly original except the back of the seat which you can see in the photo. The seat is very fluid and soft looking. The back rails are finely spaced and there is some striping you can see. Someone had it held together with nails. I got as far as taking it apart and cleaning off the glue. You can see how the chair would look if you put it back together and how the separate parts look in the photos. Please bid accordingly.

This is an absolutely gorgeous piece of history- I am a Collector and I am downsizing. So I have to part with some of my precious items- this being one of them. VICTORIAN GOTHIC REVIVAL ANTIQUE LADIES CHAIR HAND CARVED GORGEOUS! Hand made nails used Golden colored with floral needlepoint Thick padded back& seat Oriental/gothic influenced hand carved wood Front casters are original This is a very unique style and I haven't been able to find anything like it. All of the nails(including the very large one with the square nut pictured in photo#9) have all handmade heads. Has a black finish which appears to be the original finish. Has these unique finger hooks on the top in the back(see photo#4) Your fingers fit perfectly under them so that you can lift the back and roll it on the front casters. This piece is in really good shape for its age. The wood has finish rubbed off in spots throughout and the chair may need some slight tightening. But tight for the most part and certainly sturdy enough ... moreto use. In photo#3, you can see a small, round, clear spot on the seat. Please see the photos for more details as the photos act as part of the description as well. In photo#9, there is a large bolt head showing in the back of the chair by the seat and the end& nut show on the bottom.it's not like that on the other side. It appears to be hand planed and DEFINITELY hand carved. The black fabric on the bottom is newer and without removing it. I'm not sure what's underneath, but in pulling the sides back a bit, all of the nails are hand made& old. Other than the staples holding on that back fabric, all of the hardware is 19th century. I believe that it had been reupholstered at some point due to original nail holes around the current edges of the fabric. It sounds like it is filled with some straw and under the black bottom fabric, there is what looks like a potato sack type of material. So, I'm thinking that if it were reupholstered, it was done a long time ago. There are nicks and paint missing throughout from use. The overall presence of this piece in the room is just awesome. I can certainly imagine see this in a fine ladies parlor. The casters are brass

Victorian Fairing: Bisque Porcelain Figure of Girl in Chair Sewing 16.5 cm high This is a very pretty late Victorian Fairing- a bisque porcelain figure of a girl sitting in a rather fancy chair. It looks like she is darning a sock as she has a ball of wool in her hands and a sock on her lap. There are two small holes pierced either side of her forehead so she probably originally was wearing a pair of wire spectacles. This figure is probably of continental manufacture. But there are no makers marks at all. The porcelain used is a parian type- I'd date it to between about 1880 and 1900. Size: about 6 1/2 inches high(16.5 cm) Weight: about 608 grammes Condition: There are some firing cracks that show as black hairlines. And the top of one chair upright at the back has a chip. I love chairs. The bamboo Victorian chair is in excellent condition and all I did was put a doll on it. It measures 24" to the top of the back and the seat is 11" by 10" and is 11" from the floor. NO breaks. Really nice. AGE: Approximate late 1800s early 1900s. Shipping is $25 for the chair. Have to pack good. It is a must. I will insure of course. Antique Circa 1890 Victorian Chair Wood Rams Heads Arms
estate walnut wood chair is a Victorian reproduction of a French Louis XVI(1774-1792) chair in the Louis XVI style. Sculputures of animals such as the eagle, the dolphin and rams heads were common the chair has an open rectangular back(the seat rail and the back are not joined) the crest rail of the chair is straight the side posts are straight and descent to back legs; the sloping arms end with a ram's head on each hand rest; the apron of the chair has a cherub with wings and scrolls in the center the upholstery is a flowered pattern and is enclosed by brass nail heads the chair appears to have an"H" stretcher and back stile feet. The front legs appear to have ring turned legs the webbing under the chair is very worn; this is easy to replace. On the top inside of the right arm.pic 3& 4.there is a glued crack repair and wood that has been missing for long time.it could be repaired further but unless your into perfect.
