Just acquired out of a Private Midwest estate. We are able to offer this very nice, late 1890's to very early 1900's era ~ 54" SOLID QUARTER SAWN TIGER GOLDEN OAK ROUND CLAW FOOT TABLE ~. This is a very well made table, and is 100% all solid oak with no veneer like many you see. It is very sturdy and a nice larger size being 54 inches across and stands 30 inches tall. It does have some original factory numbers on the bottom, and I would imagine that it was made in the Grand Rapids Michigan area as most of the quality furniture is that we see in the Midwest. The over all condition is pretty good with some expected wear from age and use. The top has some wear to the finish in areas, but over all is pretty decent. Tiger Oak Tilt Table Into Seat
This is a solid Tiger Oak Table that has original wooden peg attached to make it into a seat. Pictures show the only thing I could find wrong with this table and it applies to the seat itself. It is a beautiful table and I could have the age wrong. I don't know much about it, other then its a beautiful piece that you just don't find like this anymore. Measurements are 35 1/4" wide x 28 1/2" high. Seat itself measures 16 1/2" long x 19 1/2" wide. Pictures show the seat that is missing two strips of wood, one in front and one in back. Guessing also on the weight of this piece. Please excuse my lack of knowledge, I am posting for a friend that is cleaning out his barn. The finish does have some minor flaws. There is what look like a little paint on the top in 1 spot. The overall appearance is nice. It would look very nice with a light coat of clear wax to clean it and bring out the beautiful grain. The pulls are non-magnetic and appear to be brass. The construction is very nice with dove tail joints and is still in good shape as far as the stability. Each drawer has a card hold the works to keep them from falling back if the drawer isn't full. This is is so beautiful in the Empire style. The large column center post ends in four beautiful curled legs in a square base format. The top is SO nice! This is a 42" round but has two leaves to expand to 66" for dining. Although this was someone's fine dining table in the early 1900's. This also makes an elegant kitchen table, or game table! It is small enough for 2-4 people to sit around nicely but with the leaves you can add up to six people, maybe more. So versatile! Great for a lake cottage or NY city apartment. The finish is just wonderful. This is not a patch job. I see no damage to the table at all and the original sliding hardware ... morelocks tightly with a wood handled latch. The chairs were originally cained but someone has simply added a wood cut seat to each eliminating that whole broken cane issue. These are very sturdy and are marked Wiffmer MIlling& Mfg Co. PA. Signed by the woodworker. Chairs are gorgeous with lion faces on the backs of each! One thing to note is that the leaves are not original to the table. They are cut to size and refinished to match closely(slightly darker due to being from another table) but they are not exact. They match very well. They have dowels to lock into the circle shape. Lastly. The table has for nice wheels on the bottom that are removable but they allow your to roll the table wherever you want it. This table measures 42" round and extends to 66" with two leaves. It is 30" tall. The chairs are 39" tall x 20" wide x 19" deep. This is such an easy set to move around. The top come off and the base will fit through any door. You can transport this in an SUV. Vintage Tiger Oak Victor Victrola Record Player/Phonograph. The model of this unit is VV-XI 377316 G. This is from the early 1900's. The tag reads"Victor talking machine company. Camden. New Jersey, USA. Patent date of 1904 on the label. The unit does work. The crank on the side turns. It has a decal of chipper the dog underneath the top lid as seen in the photo. There are lots of extra needles in a container not seen in the photos that will be included. There are a lot of compartments for records or sheet music. The wood is very grainy and has a nice varnish finish. There is a scuff mark on the side that appears to paint near the handle. The casters are made of wood. Antique Tilting Dresser SHAVING Mirror TIGER OAK Wood VICTORIAN 1880 Round Frame
Antique Tiger Oak Victorian Era c.1880 Round Shaving Mirror- On Tilting Frame- DESCRIPTION A handsome antique shaving mirror on tilting stand. Made entirely of solid tiger oak grained wood. The mirror frame, tilting arms, base and round ball feet all with beautiful graining visable. This one is from the late Victorian era circa 1880's. It's in original untouched condition, not refinished. It also retains the original mirror glass and backing for the round mirror. The round mirror frame is 1" wide and has a deep beveled edge. The two arms have knobs at the sides that can be loosened allowing you to tilt the framed mirror portion. Tightening the knob will then hold it in that fixed position. The arms have lovely turnings and are mortised through the wide shaped chamferred edge base. The base has four round ball feet. We've ... moreleft this as found. We have not polished or refinished the wood it is completly original. Shows good wear, but no splits or cracks or breaks in the wood. And we have not removed the original mirror glass from the frame. As expected with mirror glass of this age, it does show wear to the silvering. Of course, if you like, you could replace the mirror with contemporary mirror glass. We like it just the way it is. Showing it's good age. Size: 12-1/4" high overall- 15-3/4" long and 5-1/2" wide at the base- mirror frame measures 9-3/4" across CONDITION Very Good. The wood has not been refinished. Antique file cabinet from the long closed Statesboro. Georgia Sanitarium/ Norris Hotel building. The cabinet has four drawers with letter file inserts. The cabinet is solid quarter sawn oak and the file inserts are a heavy cardboard, the back has a veneer panel. The file inserts are removable. Each drawer has a slot for a label. The file box measures about 15 1/2" wide x 13 1/2" deep x 18" tall. Excellent condition. There are several chips to the rear back bottom as pictured. Great vintage dark Oak cigar humidor with original key. Porcelain interior is in great shape. Some small wear on the bottom pictured. Had a Amsterdam patch inside. Top has slight split. Carved paw front feet and tiger oak full columns circa 1890's.This antique buffet features an abundance of beautiful carvings from top to bottom and offers a great amount of storage with its three drawers at the center over a large long drawer with cabinet space on each side. Beautiful applied carvings accent the shaped pediment that rises above the long display shelf above the original beveled mirror. Full tiger oak columns serve as shelf supports with candle shelves midway.
