ULTRA RARE GLOBE WERNICKE DESK WITH BOOKCASE AND DRAWER BASE IN SOLID QUARTERED OAK AND EXCEPTIONAL ORIGINAL CONDITION With the highest compliments we could possibly pay to any piece we are thrilled to offer you one of two hundred ever made by the Globe Wernicke Company slant lid desk with a model D-12 1/4" bookcase mid section and matched Globe Wernicke drawer base. Only a small handful of these ever survived. This model was owned by the Bethlehem Steel Company and used as a then start of the art portable office for various clerical employees duties when their jobs required their moving around the massive plants' building and grounds. The entire desk is in a mint model 299 original finish. Please excuse the shade on the piece in our pictures. The shadows cast by the shade did not appear so pronounced in the camera's picture ... morereview. In ingenuity of this desk's design by Globe Wernicke is in its portability. The front French flared legs are fastened by two braces on each side. They come right off and the desk breaks down into three pieces for ease of move. This is absolutely the only one of these we have ever seen much less sold. The last one even close that has surfaced was in England and in birch with a glaringly average refinishing job. Virtually the only place you can see this desk is in the old Globe Wernicke product catalogs. Undoubtedly& hopefully some made it to the caring hands of true Globe Wernicke products collectors and this model in fantastic original finish and this isn't the only one surviving. This is a Left Side Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Drawer Assembly. It is from a Singer Treadle Sewing Machine from around 1908. The drawers and frames are solid. The finish is a little dark and a little wrinkled. Both drawers have tiger oak striped wood. There are aged bumps. Scratches and dings. The top and middle supports have pin marks on the front. The insides of the drawers are a little dark and a little dusty. Singer makes a couple different drawer heights. Please verify these measurements before purchasing. The drawers measure 4-3/4" wide x 3-7/8" tall and are 14-1/2" long not including the metal knobs. The frame measures 5-3/4" x 10-1/4" x 14-3/4" deep. The lock works and accept the square key. Monumental Tiger Quartersawn Oak Mantel, Refinished with Original Mirror
Monumental tiger oak/ quartersawn mantel. The orignal beveled glass mirror is included but not pictured. This has been stripped and refinished which is a real plus when dealing with these old mantels because that process is usually more expensive than the purchase price of one that is in need of it. Everything about this mantel is substantial; oversize base. Round columns, beefy shelf, and intricate details. Photos seven and eight were taken inside to give you an idea of the finish color. The other photos were taken outside. The condition of the base wood is great. There are no corners that are tore up or smashed, which tends to be typical when these are removed from houses, moved around and stored. With careful examination you will be able to find a few nicks and dents that have been finshed over. The most notable issues are the upper left ... morescroll decoration having a peice broken off and missing and some chips to the leaf corbels under the shelf. Photo nine shows the very top which would be well over head height. The back boards extend and there is obviously no shelf cap. Our suggestion would be to cut the excess off of the uprights and install a flat top shelf. This would not be able to be seen unless you are on a ladder. Dimensions are more or less accurate but if you have a critical requirement you should ask to have it rechecked: 62" overall width. Height 86" from bottom to top corner of shelf frame, 94" tall if you measure the uprights to the end. ~12" projection from wall, 10" projection from fire box, center shelf is 43" wide x 10" deep, mirror is 40" x 17" top shelf frame is 58"x 11" fire box opening ~41.5" x 44.5" tall, ~6" diameter round columns, ~7" square legs This will we listed as local pickup only. Here is a beautiful 2 drawer Library Bureau SoleMakers filing cabinet. It is made of solid oak and still has its original finish. The dovetail woodworking is amazing. Take a look at all the pictures. For some reason there is no back on this unit. It looks like it may have been removed at some point to accommodate an installation into somewhere. The inside drawers are clean and open as they should. The rods are missing but the dividing blocks are still present. All the external brass hardware is in excellent condition. Up for sale today is a beautiful antique tiger oak dining table and six chairs. This table was purchased in the late 1800's/early 1900's by either my great great grand fa ther or my great grandfather(they had the same name) who lived near Chicago. Illinois. This one comfortably seats 12 and will seat more if you care to get closer. I do not know if the chairs are original to the table. They do match and they are the only chairs I have ever seen with the table, but I was not around in the 1800's. The table is in wonderful condition as it has always been used with the original. Thick table pads protecting it and a table cloth over that. My family ha ve always been non-smokers. So there are no burn marks or yellow marks. The table needs a good cleaning, that is all. The chairs show more wear as they don't have protection like ... morethe ta ble. They are still used daily. The cushions have been replaced over the years and are now a fruit pattern. The last picture is of the store label holding the table for my great great grandfather(or great grandfather) This label is still in place under the table top. The table was purchased at Carson Pirie Scott& Co. This is an expanding table with four 10" leaves for adjusting t he size. At it's smalle st. The table is 54" round. At it's largest. It is approximately 94" long. The pads are made in sections so fit whatever size you wish the table to be. Pictures show the table at its smallest. Its largest, and also with three leaves in place. The mechanics for adjustment work smoothly. There are wheels on the base of the table and it rolls easily. Please look carefully at the pictures. This table is well over 100 years old. In my opinion. It shows very minimal wear for its age, but it is not"like new" Please keep in mind that the chairs, having been used for these many years, show much more wear than the table. The left side of the body has a real nice tiger stripe to it! The finish is a little dark. The drawers and body are solid and have some aged bumps. Scratches and dings. The inner side(where the hooks are) a little dry and a little rough to the touch. The drawer faces have a nice oak grain. There is dark wear around the knobs. The bottom left corner of the top drawer is chipped. The insides of the drawers is a little dusty. The top keyhole ring is missing. The frame measures 5-1/8" x 13-3/4" x 13-3/4" deep. Here is a vintage Macey. Of Grand Rapids Michigan, four draw index card file cabinet in beautiful tiger oak wood. It is made of solid oak and is in excellent condition. The original Macey litho is in very nice condition. It has all of the original hardware and everything works as it should. Please take a look at all the pictures. There looks to be some finish wear on the top and the top right draw has a slight crack in it. Both are very easy fixes if you feel like doing so. This cabinet appears to date from the early part of the 20th century& was possibly a treadle originally. Later converted for the electric sewing machine. The treadle cabinets are the only ones that I have seen that have the cast iron scroll work and Sears insignia like this one. I am not making any warranty to its age at this time. But it clearly is from the time period of 1900s to the 1940s. The family who previously own this chair was able to give us a little bit of history, apparently just after Senator John F. Kennedy's presidential nomination(June 13, 1960) he held a series of campaign fund raisers and this rocking chair was given as a gift On July 24, 1960 while in Washington, DC. The chair seat swivels and the chair rolls around on casters. 16" wide x 19" deep x 35-1/2" high overall with a 19" seat height as you see it in the pictures. Looking underneath I can see that you can lower it down about 1-1/2" and you have about 6" total screw extending down below the spinning disk. You should be able to raise it 2 or 3 inches anyway. Seat height would then range between about 17-1/2 and maybe 22" You merely turn the disk to change the seat height. I lowered the seat to the minimum for shipment. The seat back has a black material tacked into place on the sides. I think it looks like old leather. But I don't know for sure. Beautiful. I found a few issues which I think are not very noticable. There was a crack in the top of the upright back support timber that I had to glue(the crack extending below the slot was not glued) One nut securing that support was replaced with a more modern one at some point, there is a split in the wood surface on the back of the seat back, one tack is missing from the back support, and there is a

Beautiful and unusual Mission fireplace mantle made of tiger oak and measuring 84" tall. 62" wide and 10 1/2" deep. The leaded glass doors measure 19 1/2" x 11" each for a total measurement of 41" x 11" They have latches on them to keep them closed. There is an additional shelf beneath the leaded glass storage area. The opening for the firebox is 39" tall and 41" wide.
