This princess ... moredresser or lady's dresser dates from the 1890s, and came out of an estate from NYC. We purchased some really interesting pieces from this collector as he is downsizing, and this antique oak dresser was refinished about 20-30 years ago, and we did a couple of touch ups. This fantastic oak dresser is in nice condition in a medium oak stain finish. It has two small concave front drawers on the top and a large bow front drawer in the base for plenty of storage. The Victorian dresser has cabriole carved columns coming down into a detail claw foot, panel sides, multi-molded rolled front above the drawers, carved yolks that hold up the mirror.

Someone had the chairs reupholstered in a fabric that, in our opinion, leaves a lot to be desired, and in a nice dark oak stain. Back to the upholstery, they heavily cushion these chairs upholstered them attached the upholstery, but then they didn’t put the gimp around the edge on the fabric bottom of the chairs to give it that nice finished look. But it’s very easy to do this yourself. There are a lot of videos online that show you how to upholster chairs and trim chairs like these. It’s very simple, and my daughter did this kind of upholstery for years here in the shop when she was a teenager. It’s a great, fun project.

It measures 19.5 inches wide by 16.5 inches deep and 13" high. The inside of each drawer measures over 8" wide for large index cards. Cd's or whatever. You don't find this size very often. Lovely grains of the wood are seen. The top is square and beveled. There is a second layer under the top for extra support and adds depth and trim. The column is square. The base is made of wood with a single screw and nut on the bottom. Notice that the bolt shows some rusting and age. the base is elevated slightly by 4 small wood feet. Sewing Machine in Oak Cabinet Ornate Tiger Oak Cabinet. 7 Drawers, Decorative Cast Iron Serial Number G 3249814 Circa 1900-1910 Local Pick Up Only This listing is for a beautiful Singer Treadle sewing machine in an outstanding ornate tiger oak pattern cabinet. The sewing machine is approx. 30 1/2 in. tall x 36 in. with lid closed(lid open 50 1/2 in. x 18 in. deep. The cabinet has a quarter sawn oak pattern commonly called"tiger” oak. There are seven cabinet drawers with carved oak fronts and decorative carved sides. It has the original decorative wrought iron base with the letters Singer in the center. Foot treadle and wheel. The wheel and foot treadle moves free but the belt which is there is needs to be connected or replaced. I have only used this for decoration. The cast iron is paint black and is intact. There isn’t any rust. The ... moreoak wood has a beautiful patina and is in excellent condition with only minor blemishes consistent with its age and usage. The one noticeable exception is on the fold out cover which has a small gouge which you can see in the picture. The wood on the back of the cabinet looks as good as the front. The actual machine shows signs of wear from normal use. Some of the black paint has worn off. There is a needle attached but no bobbin. The machine is dusty which you can see in the picture. When I took this picture. It was the first time I have ever lifted the machine out of its cabinet. In the 38+ year I have owned this remarkable piece of American history. I have used this sewing machine for everything except sewing. At one time or another I displayed my antique sewing collection, used it as a. Record player holder, computer/writing desk, telephone stand, small Christmas displays with wooden bobbin candle holders and as an end table to name a few. I have seen many old sewing machines but never one in the fantastic condition. You must see it to really appreciate its beauty. Appears to be quarter sawn oak with tiger oak grain top. Good condition overall, but needs glue/repair where lower shelf attachs to leg(see photo) Also has one light spot on top. This is a nice tall table that would work in many locations. One center drawer. Antique dresser (circa 1920) Tiger Oak
This dresser is in very good condition. 45.5 inches length x 21.5 depth x 32.5 height. Bottom drawer is 9 inches deep and stores a lot of clothes. Top drawers are 5.5 in. deep. Beveled mirror. Wood is in fine shape. Repair to top left spiral. But it was very well done and is not noticeable. Local pick up only. If you would like more photos. Pls. let me know. A few of the photos here give the wood a slight honey/orange tone, which is due to my attempt to brighten the photo. The dresser has the traditional color of tiger oak. The drawers and frames are solid. The finish is a little dark and a little wrinkled. Both drawers have tiger oak striped wood. There are aged bumps. Scratches and dings. The bottom frame had a hairline crack coming from the front screw hole. It was only a partial crack with the grain and was not completely through the wood. This is an Antique Ornate Tiger Oak Minnesota Treadle Sewing Machine Center Drawer. The drawer face has a tiger oak stripe pattern across the enitre front. There is ornate embossed wood on each end and in the middle. The face is also bowed wood. The face is a little dark and wrinkled around the ornate wood overlays. The drawer was repaired at one time and I reinforced the seams with wood glue along the bottom and down the sides. The face is nice. The inside of the drawer is dark and aged. There is a bobbin and needle holder on the right side. The bottom of the drawer has a crack where a knot is in the wood. The center drawer has a 20-3/4" x 4-1/4" face. The assembly measures 10" at point"A" and 19-1/8" at point"B" Those are outer measurements. There is a screw on the left side for locking the drawer ... morein place. This Ornate Original Finish American Victorian Tiger Oak Side By Side Secretary Desk is in excellent condition for its age, has many wonderful ornate details and is just waiting for its place of prominence in your home! The top of this gorgeous Side-by Side Secretary is graced with lovely crown moulding with elegant applied ribbon moulding. Elegant ribbon moulding is also found around the bow front glass door as well as around the beveled glass ... moremirror that adorns the back of the fancy top display shelf. This fancy top display shelf is adorned with intricately carved winged Griffins and scroll work. Two petite drawers with brass pulls are found beneath this fancy display shelf to provide the perfect introduction to the secretary section of this wonderful piece. The secretary section consists of a fabulous slant front door that is graced with a masterfully carved North-wind head with a shell crown and scrolled adornments. It has an intact lock with working key. The original brass key escutcheon, and opens to reveal a nice writing surface along with 12 storage slots. Here we offer a most unusual turn of the century Fire Screen. We believe it is from the Mission Arts and Crafts Period. There is a most beautiful Quarter Sawn Oak border that framed the Needlework. The main frame is painted a rusty red color. This is exactly how we aquired this piece. The center decoration is a Needlework portrait that depects and older man with a very small boy at his knee. The needlework is old and in very good but not perfect condition. The piece is still very worthy of display. A back liner would be great over the treadwork. It looks as though there was a covering long ago on the back. The Screen is in very good shape and displays very well. It measures 34" tall by 31 1/4" wide by 7 1/2" deep at the standing bottom. The drawing storage drawers have an interior dimension of 30-1/2" x 23-1/2" x 4" There are added metal divider clips in 3 of the drawers and 1 drawer has divider boards in the clips. This is to accommodate letter size paper storage and could all be easily removed. Both drawing storage sections have the front top finished panel that can be seen in front of the cap. The letter ... morefile drawers have an interior dimension 12" wide and 10-1/2" tall. One of the drawers is missing the metal rod and knob that would hold dividers and or papers into the drawer. All of the drawers have their working metal file stop that slides front to back. Very nice condition. I have pictured one chip to the wood at the top rear of one side an one chip to the top face of a drawer. There may be some other very minor flaws to the finish. I cannot determine the age of the finish. It is not new but may not be original.
