This stunning flame birch& mahogany bird cage tip top tea table has its original period crab lock, reeded profiles on the spider legs, wonderfully turned center pedestal and in a very good original finish that is in desperate need of a waxing and buffing. There is a typical very old and stable seasoning split on its lower base that we will be addressing along with its detailing this week. The top shows a few very small finish blemishes(it is an untouched 200 plus year old finish) that will be covered in as soon as we apply the tinted wax and buff it out. This tea table has a 27" top, is 44 1/2" tall locked back and 29" tall with the top locked down. One of the best flame birch pieces we have turned up in quite a while now. There is a tiny piece missing of the joiner work on the upper tier. This beautiful Piece was taken from the attic of a 17th century home in historic York South Carolina. This is a 3 1/2 lb solid brass tray or table top with beautiful carved teak wood stand. It is 25" tall and the top is 22" in diameter. Total package weight is 28 pounds so this is going to be big! I have cleaned the top layer of crud off of the top and the final touches with some patina removal and cleaning of the bottom will be a job for its new experienced owner. The bottom folds up and can be adjusted for different leg patterns. The wood needs oiled but is free of rot and otherwise in very good condition. Some of the hinges have missing pins. 1800's Antique Set 4 Turned Table Legs Poplar Great Shape Clean Original Finish
Nice Condition 1800's Antique Set 4 Individually Turned Table Legs at 29 1\4 inches long a standard height for dining or kitchen table legs. They're got the original light to medium stain and a great smooth finish and considering the age real nice condition. Made of poplar they are good thick solid legs that would hold a good sized table. If you are familiar with poplar it often has a greenish tint in the wood and if you are possibly hesitating buying because of that I'll tell you that there is non of this green tint anywhere on them. They have a color of light to medium which I believe you could match to maple, birch, pine and possibly other woods. If you need to know more you can email me. Originally they were on a dropleaf table where the legs were tapered out some and those tapers are cut on both the top and bottom of these ... morelegs. They could be modified to be straight legs if someone chose to do that. You're looking at. And about to bid on, A VERY Vintage Cerveza Corona Extra Porcelain Table(That Can Double as a Sign) With Original Folding Legs Up for purchase. Fresh from my man-cave(which is the garage nowadays) is an old, antique porcelain top table advertising Corona Extra beer. These were common back in the 60s and 70s south of the border in cantinas. Restaurants, bars, and billiard rooms, and are still in use today, if they're still standing. I purchased this particular one in Tijuana a few years back. And have kept it close because it's so awesome, but it's time to find it a new home. You can see on in the pictures that the legs show a layer of rust and dust from being used in the backyard for years. As well as just sitting around. I've been considering. Lately, sanding down the legs and base to repaint it a nice ... moreglossy black, but just haven't had time. I think that's about the only thing(besides wd-40 in the joints afterward) this table needs to give any indoor man-cave a touch of vintage breweriana. There are a couple of other tables on eBay. As well as some that have been sold in the past(over 3 months ago) that resemble this table. I've followed them closely and they have the same dimensions as mine(29.5" x 29.5" However, none of them have used the same style of"R" in the word"EXTRA" as mine does. This particular font for the"R" leads me to believe that mine is quite a bit older, as this style of lettering is remeniscent of mid-century/modern writing and advertisement. I've also noticed that my table doesn't bear the"Todo Con Medida" which is pretty much saying. everything in moderation, or"don't overdo it" slogan on it, which may have been an 80's slogan, since drinking and driving was receiving a HUGE push back then. Description Set of 4 antique cast iron and glass claw and ball feet. They are 6" tall with 3" diameter glass balls. The hole at the top is 1 3/8" at the widest and tapers smaller. Three have no cracks or big chips. One has a chip under the face and along the edge of the metal. See photo) Looks like it was factory flaw. Has air pocket in the chip. Very old chip and not very noticeable because of the jaw of the face over it. The feet fit a stand parlor type table from the turn of the century era.
