It measures 25 1/4" high. 21" long rocking legs, 14" long arms with a 12" square seat. The seat cover now is a green velour fabric. Originally there was a leather cover for the seat. Under the seat fabric is a newer piece of wood for its bottom. There is a crack in the back of the chair that is shown in the last photo which does not go all the way through to the front. This is a signed Gustav Stickley 1/4 sawn oak wood Harvey Ellis Rocker- for sale. Model#339. Circa 1901 to 1902. Harvey Ellis was involved style influence with three vertical slats at back and arched seat rails. The rocker is in the normal condition of a rocker from this era. It comes with the original seat and leather. Leather on seat is worn with normal wear of a 100yr old antiquity. However is not physically attached to the chair. The left back arm is loose, but does not hinder the functionality of the chair. The chair is 34in in Height and 24in in Width. The seat is 18in in Width and the back of the seat is 22in in Height. As this chair was made in the early 1900's. I would consider this piece to be used more as a show piece of the Gustav Stickley- Harvey Ellis furniture maker, rather than a day to day use. Stickley Brothers Quaint Furniture Company Arts& Crafts chair for sale. I bought this chair for my x-boyfriends 40th and now its time to let it go! I bought it from e-bay from a woman in Georgia. Her Grandparents bought the chair directly from Quaint Furniture in Grand Rapids. Mich. around 1940. The original owner(her Grandmother) covered the original inner spring cushion with some fabric and pinned it in place- and also covered the back with the same fabric. I have owned this chair for about 5 years and have done nothing to it. The chair is in great shape but there is a piece of coil popping through the cushion(see photos) Chair has quarter sawn oak throughout and nice patina! The chair's measurements are 36" tall. 26" to the arms and to the seat approx 17" Thanks for looking!

Rare antique postcard showing an early Stickley Brothers Arts& Crafts interior rendering in color. It is full of Stickley Brothers furniture. This interior view was originally drawn by native Scotsman David Robertson Smith. One of their early and extremely gifted designers. He first worked for Albert Stickley in London circa 1901, then was convinced to come to America. He won major awards for Stickley Brothers at the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exhibition in St. Louis. It is a postcard that was likely provided by Stickley Brothers or the Grand Rapids Furniture Record to retailers. It has a calendar on the backside that is for November 1911 and the postcard is postmarked 1911. This same image is shown on page 110 in the book: The Stickley Brothers" a reference book by noted Arts& Crafts era historians.Michael E. This is a Signed 1903-1904 Gustav Stickley#339 Rocker. 1/4 sawn oak wood. Circa 1903 to 1904. It comes with the original seat and leather. This model is a Harvey Ellis design. Leather on seat is worn with normal wear for being the original leather. And is a drop-in seat. The left back arm is loose, but does not hinder the functionality of the chair. The rocker is in the normal condition of a rocker from this era. It is meant more as a collectible item. A representation of this era, not really for snuggling up with a book. The chair is 34in in Height and 24in in Width. The seat is 18in in Width and the back of the seat is 22in in Height. The weight of this item is 24lbs. Stickley book rack/shelf/st Arts and Crafts Furniture MISSION C-1900 Q OAK
JUST WAXED. NOT REFINISED. original dark oak stain but needs a few hours of work. Note the brake trough on some of the outside tendon joints and missing pegs. Its amazing to look at and a great piece to invest in. its all original but the top shelf has a crack in the center and someone took out the shelf, planed down the part under the crack and cleverly laminated another oak section under the crack- so the top of the top shelf is original. The underside needs to be stained where additional oak was added. By the way in case your not familiar with this the as a retired refinisher the stain you use to match this is MINWAX SPECIAL WALNUT not dark oak- it will match perfectly. Also note the heads of small finshing nails in the top shelf that need to be countersunk and filled. It measures a great height 36" 14 deep x 20 wide. I feel that ... moredue to the radical mission character of this-restored its worth $1500 or more and usable the way it is. yet no reserve. This rare Stickley chair was made when the Stickley brothers worked together in Grand Rapids Michigan. It was made with a quarter saw method of oak wood. This chair is rare not only because of it's label. But also because of it's four slats and one of those slats is wider than the others.This is a very simple design without any slats on the arms. I have had this in my possession for about 20 years and do not have the original cushion but it is easy to place a piece of wood inside and add any pillow or cushion of your choice. At some point someone put a black stain over the original finish. It is coming off and can be refinished. I have loved this chair but want it to be loved in another home now. I purchased 2 box lots of vintage books and these 2 Stickley books were in the mix. They are used. But I feel like they are in good condition. The"QUAINT FURINTURE" is a 1993 re-print of the 1912 furniture catalog. The inside is in very good condition with no tears or stains, but as you can see on the front cover it looks like someone put their coffee cup on it. There is a forward/introduction then a re-print of the catalog, so pic 5 shows that the cover is in the book again. THE KAUFMANN COLLECTION" is from 1996, I believe that this is a gallery or auction look book. Some really nice pieces are pictured in this book. The only condition issue is that the original owner wrote with ink pen on 11 pages-very small, just a number as shown in last photo. It may be what these pieces sold for? I'm not sure. Michigan in 1891. This is a great original piece with the original stamp on the bottom and it is even numbered. This chair is in Good Condition with some normal wear. Super find at a local estate auction. This is for an EXTREMELY Hard to find STICKLEY BROS"ashtray" holder. It is approx. 27" tall. The base is approx. 7" x 7" The top that holds the ashtray is approx. 8" across center. The match box holder is missing one screw and one side has been damaged as shown. The ashtray holder is cracked across and has been noticeably repaired with glue as shown in next to last photo? Under the matchbox holder the wood is cracked as well and has not been repaired. As I tried to show in the last photo. The base is double marked as it should be with the logo burned in and the Quaint Furniture Gold label. It is also stamped in ink as item model# 143. STICKLEY BROS. ARTS AND CRAFTS LADIES SEWING ROCKER, QUAINT FURNITURE CO.
This auction is for a signed ladies sewing rocker made by the Stickley Brothers' Quaint Furniture Co. of Grand Rapids. Mich. It is quarter sawn oak with a splined seat and pegged back joints. The brass Quaint Furniture Co. plate is fixed to the underside of the seat frame with the Quaint Co. logo and Stickley Bros. name. It stands 33 inches tall on 23-1/2 inch rockers. The seat is 17 inches wide by 15-3/4 inches deep and is 15 inches from the floor. This is a great looking chair with beautiful quarter sawn grain everywhere. It has the classic design of the Arts and Crafts era, made by one of the premier builders of the period. On page 25 of the 1912 Stickley Brothers' catalog, it is listed with photo as model#326.
