Vintage Steamer Trunk can be Steam Punk Style Table
Up for bid is a gorgeous. Rustic vintage steamer trunk. I am not sure about the brand or label. I am not sure about the age either,but as I researched and compared it to the other listings, I believe it is from the 1940's or earlier. The leather straps are broken, and they are almost entirely gone, but the hinges and latches are still attached.There is no key. Some of the metals are also present, but rusted. There is no tray inside. It seems that it used to be covered with canvas, but it is faded and almost entirely gone. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful rustic piece that can be a coffee table in its present, original state or when its restored. Great for a steam punk style project. Antique Blue Steamer Trunk - Wooden Frame with Metal Corners & Braces
This is a nice bright blue steamer trunk. With metal corners, hardware and strapping. I believe the walls, bottom and lid are made of thin plywood with an exterior lining of sheet metal.Measuring about 29½" x 14½" and about 10¼" tall, it has a single leather or faux leather carrying handle on the front, right beside the lock. The inside is lined with paper printed with a wood grain design. I don't know the age of it, but it looks mid twentieth century, doesn't it? I also don't see any sign of manufacturer identification, and no labels to tell where it traveled. It has some surface scuffs and scratches. Especially on the top and bottom, in fact there are some distinct pressure dents around the edge of the lid, as shown in the third picture below. Malles Goyard Steamer Trunk
A wonderful old travel trunk made in Paris by Goyard. This is the perfect size for a coffee table! Measurements are 33 1/2 inches across. 20 1/2 inches deep, 13 3/4 inches deep. The initials on the side are ACK in red lettering. The brass hardware is nicely stamped. There is no inside tray and the back has slight damage. A split line in the pattern design. The wood slats look great and both sides have the Malles Goyard address label. Inside lining has some spotting to the lower left side. Dates to the 1920's era. Late 1800s CHILD'S STEAMER TRUNK WITH TRAVEL DECALS FOR TRAVELING

This late 1800's CHILD'S STEAMER TRUNK would have possibly held its' clothes and undoubtedly held its' familiar treasures which made it feel more comfortable on a long journey. Part of the travels of this trunk's owner would have been by sea as well as land. As evidenced by the many travel decals on the outside of the metal steamer trunk. From Egypt, Australia, Holland, etc. This child was a world traveler. The reinforced metal trunk measures 11 X 11 X 20 inches. Has four pull-out drawers and one side of the trunk is a place for coats and clothes, or possibly a favorite doll or bear. The trunk was produced by EDUCATIONAL PLAYTHINGS; their label is on the lock side of the trunk. The cloth covering of the interior of the trunk is faded, and contrasts with the brighter blue on the inside of the ... moredrawers. The metal fasteners which hold the two sides of the trunk together are operational; there is no key to the heavy metal lock; the leather handle on top of the trunk is mostly missing. For your consideration is a ca 1885 dome top steamer trunk. I t has been fully refinished. The originally outside canvas covering and interior paper have been removed to show the beauty of the pine wood. The wood was sanded and refinished with stain and multiple coats of sealer. All hardware is original and in excellent shape. The hinges and lid stay are strong and work properly. All hardware was cleaned and sealed. The lock does not have a key. The leather side handles are new. The bottom is clean. It has the original tray. This trunk 32" wide X 25" high X 19" deep. It has an unusual piece of embossed metal on top. The cost of packing. Antique VICTORIAN Era Monitor Top STEAMER Trunk w/ Wood Slats CONSERVED/Restored
Beautiful Victorian Era Steamer Trunk. This trunk has been conserved or restored. Has had quite a bit of work, but the only thing that has been added& isn't original to this trunk are the leather handles. Everthing else is original to this particular trunk The trunk had 3 coats of paint that were removed from its exterior. Afterward it is was polished witha metal polish, there is still some patina, after 100 plus years it is almost impossible to remove all of that with just cloth and polish lol The paint was light green and off white. In certain places small remnants of the paint may remain. Without damaging the surface of the trunk it is very hard to totally get it all off. Also I think it adds to the already very rustic beautiful charm of the trunk. It is important to note the color variations you see in the pics on the metal ARE ... moreNOT paint. This is actually a pattern in the metal. One the end pieces I think it is patina and discoloration. But the middle piece on lower portion, and next to end pieces on top, I think it is the way the metal is made. It is very beautiful, and seems purposefully placed There is very gorgeous and unique hardware. There are little flower or star shaped medallions on top of trunk and on the front of trunk The wooden slats have been sanded stained and finished The handles were replaced with strips of 100% leather Interior of trunk was stripped of all inside paper. It has been left natural wood so new owner may leave as is. Or finish out to suit their needs best. One of the most unique things about this trunk is the locks on either end of trunk. And latch in center Normally one most I have seen. There will a latch on both ends, and a lock in center, this one is reversed! His name is painted on the sides of the trunk. More information about Moore can be found in this short and in this: The trunk is pre-1950's. Most likely pre-1920's, since Mr. Moore died in 1917. The lock is broken off, but the bottom section remains. The lock was manufactured by Star Lock Works in Philadelphia. For your consideration is an antique steamer trunk. Dates to the late 1800 to early 1900's. There are stickers on the truck. Which I did not remove. Germany and Scotland. Has a wonderful cloth pattern on the outside similar to L. Vitton trunks. Features 4 drawers and a wardrobe area to hang cloths. The drawers lock into place and are lined, wood on the outside. The top drawer has a key lock(not included) When you pull out the drawer, there is a leaver that you turn which unlocks the other drawers. The wardrobe side includes the hangers shown(5) and the top opens to ease in getting the hangers out. the metal slats for the hangers to slide out as well, however the right one is hard to push. Has a fabric cloth to cover the clothes from the drawers. This is a large heavy truck, but in pretty good shape for it's age and the number of trips ... moreit has taken over the years. Canvas and metal with fancy latches and decorative corner ends. Beautiful original ornate functioning metal hardware and working lock and key. All the metal hardware is in tack except for 2 missing metal buttons. One in back and one in front. The two leather handles/straps are missing on each side. The interior shows some darking and wear. This antique steamer trunk has no identifying information; however. We believe it is from the 1800's. The trunk measures approximately 38" long x 26" high x 22.5" wide when closed. It is a fabric-covered chest with wooden ribbing and what would appear to be additional leather stripping. It also has metal corners and hardware. Our trunk is in need of repair and restoration. The lock is missing and the hinges in the back of the trunk require attention. The top must be held open so it does not fall back. The inside of the trunk shows signs of age and wear. This 1920's Steamer Trunk is in excellent condition. It has all interior drawers and hangers. It is missing one small bar for the wooden hangers. And it does not come with a key. The drawers are in good condition with minor wear. The outside has the usual nicks and scuffs that come with a trunk. The leather handle is intact but worn. Up for consideration is a nice size Stagecoach antique trunk that has been restored. It has been cleaned well inside and out. The wood has been lightly sanded then sealed with a satin finish. It os all original exccept for the handles were replaced with new leather ones. The inside was recovered so no musty smells. It does have some minor dings and stress cracks. We are selling this large. Celan, American-made, art nouveau influenced, domed-top, ornate pressed tin clan trunk from 1880-1890. This piece of antiquity will stand out in any setting and this wedding or bride's style chest comes with the original pine hat compartment and the interior pictures are original in in good order. There is some wear and signs of age which has been left untouched so as to preserve the originality and antique character of the piece. The leather on one of the side handles is split but just adds to the character and the images of the trunk's use. HERE IS A BEAUTIFUL 1870'S CAMEL OR DOME BACK STEAMER TRUNK. THE TRUNK IS MADE OF WOOD. COVERED IN ZINK. IT HAS SOLID WOOD STAVES OR SLATS WRAPPING THE TOP AND SIDES OF THE TRUNK. THREE LATCHES ON THE FRONT HOLD THE TRUNK SHUT DURING TRANSPORT. THE INTERIOR IS IN WONDERFUL CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. THERE IS A LIFT OUT DIVIDED TRAY THAT SITS IN THE TOP PORTION OF THE TRUNK. ONE OF THE LEATHER SIDE HANDLES IS TORN. GOLD FLORAL EMBOSSING IS ON THE ZINK. IT MUST HAVE BEEN OWNED BY A WEALTHY TRAVELER. IT IS IN OVERALL EXCELLENT, UN RESTORED CONDITION. Dome Top Steamer Trunk - Unfinished
This domed top tin steamer has remained unfinished waiting just for you. Projectville just around the corner. I haven't had time to fix it up. All flat tin- some is painted a black color- the rest may have been covered with some material. The original wooden insert and storage compartment hit the road a long time ago. Leather handles are fair but have seperated. Measures 36" wide x 25" high x 20" deep. The dome may be a little higher in the center. Local pick up only. Item located in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Great Antique Trunk. Steamer/ Steampunk Vintage Cast Iron With Brass Tag.
A very VERY nice antique trunk signed by one of Americas best trunk makers inside and out. Brass tag on lid reads Martin Maier& Co. Inside a Paper label shows his address 102 Woodward Ave. Detroit. Michigan. This trunk is in" as found" condition. It's really fantastic- super patina. I have not touched this except to remove dust and cobwebs: I prefer to keep them"dry" like this and avoid polishing the brass. But I know many collectors like to bring them back with wax and polish and looking almost new. Top has brass studs. Trunk has beautiful cast iron corner detailing. The clasps are brass and lock is brass and signed as shown in pic. Trunk definitely shows age. note one leather handle is broken/ missing)but generally this is in remarkable condition for its age. The wallpaper is loose in places, both on the outside, and on the inside, and also missing in a number of places. The interior tray is missing. I have done NO repair or restoration on this trunk. The wood also has a number of splits in it. Lock is original. No key included. Hinges are original, although at least some of the original screws seem to have been replaced with brass ones. Original scissors hinge is missing. The trunk also has a metal band, on the lid, which fits over the lower portion of the trunk, just like the full size ones. Antique Steamer Trunk from WW1 world war One. My Grandfather used this from Germany to come to our wonderful country and used this to pack his belongings. This is made out of woven wood. Size is 40" wide 25" deep and 22 1/2' TALL. The name on the front is( E. KRUGER) This could be before the turn of the century but I don't know for sure. It does have some ware and tare on it. It is over 100 years old. If you purchase it I can crate it for you but would need $100.00 for that since I have to build a crate. Shipping would be up to you.
