For sale is a matching parlor set purchased 25 years ago from a Victorian house in Moorestown. NJ. The set consists of a large settee. Large platform rocker, a chair with arms and four chairs without arms. The style is Eastlake or Aesthetic Movement, from the 1880s- 1890s. The ornamentation on the chairs is angular with geometric incised lines and chip carving. There is also burl walnut veneer on all pieces. The condition for the set is usable but they definitely could use a trip to the upholstery shop. The structure of the chairs is good with the exception of the right arm of the platform rocker which wiggles because it is loose. For more detailed information. This was part of the most sought after bedroom style in America in the mid Century. Built extremely well of good solid wood construction and can seat and side arms. French Provincial rolled arm Bench. Can be used as a settee. Bench or window seat. Ivory. The depth is 16 inches at the seat and 18 inches at the feet. The height is 29 inches ith a seat height of 18 inches and the width is 41 inches long. I used it in a guest room with the matching tall chest on chest(listed separately) Large dresser and mirror(listed separately) and nightstands(Listed separately. This settee has great bones for restoration or use it just as it is. I kept a big window seat cushion on it, so there was no further damage to it once it was handed down to me. MID CENTURY MODERN PEARSALL STYLE SOFA BENCH SETTEE ATTACHED DRUM END TABLES
We are pleased to offer this gorgeous. Mid Century Modern, Adrian Pearsall style, bench/sofa/chair with attached end tables. This unique piece was initially used in the lobby of a Commerce Bank in Missouri in the 1960s and had been with the same owner since the 1980s until we acquired them. The bench is SOLID and features a hardwood frame. The bench section is padded lightly and covered in the original aqua(green/blue) fabric. The drum tables are located and attached on each end. They feature a walnut/pecan wood veneer. The bench(please note that the listing is for one bench but we do have two available) is quite sturdy and was constructed to use(not just look good) It could be used in a number of rooms from the entry hall to the living room. It has a great profile! PLEASE NOTE* The bench does not have a back. Photo number one is shown against ... morethe back of a sofa(like a sofa table) The bench is in good condition. There is very little evidence of wear to the fabric. The drum tables do have some scratches. Particularly to the lower sections. There are a couple of minor chips to the veneer in these sections as well(cleaning crew bumped with vacuum? With very little effort, they can be restored to their original glory. As they are, they are quite lovely and afford lots of character! The end tables are bolted to the benches and do come apart. This way, you can recover the fabric if you so desire and could stain the drum tables as well(see picture 11) The holes in the drums are threaded inside which is a nice feature as well. The benches are identical. They measure 7 feet in length. They are 19" deep(front to back) The seat height is 19" tall and the tables are 20.5" tall. The tables are 19" in diameter. This auction is for a really pretty antique victorian love seat/settee. I think the wood is walnut. The decoration across the top wood looks like nuts or fruit and flowers of some kind that is carved. The velvet material is a very pale reddish cranberry. The pictures are very true to the color. The back is tufted. The wood frame is sturdy. It measures about 59 inches long from the widest part of the wood frame on top. It stands about 34 inches tall to the top of the fruit. Terrific antique Eastlake settee or wide chair that's perfect a side piece in a living or family room. It's carved with a vine design at top. And upholstered in needlepoint with complementary velvet. The ebonized wood(possibly walnut. Of which many of these were made) is in nice condition with some light surface wear in a few spots and minor nicks/chips on the bottom where the upholstery is attached. The only real condition issue is to the back of the carved. Decorative piece at the center/bottom; it has a good-sized chip and a smaller one, none of which can be seen from the front. The upholstery is in very good condition with just minor wear from age/use. But has no fading or holes. The roses on the seat are petit point, and the rest a larger needlepoint. I believe the needlepoint is original(it almost certainly dates to that time ... moreperiod or within 20-30 years) But the settee might have been re-upholstered along with newer velvet and trim at some point. The crest rail is exquisitely carved from a thick solid plank of mahogany; two nearly identical panels capture oak leaves tied together with flowing ribbon flank the larger central panel of opposing cornucopia overflowing with sheaves of wheat and fruits. These magnificent landscapes are of exceptional quality, each tiny detail carefully and painstakingly brought to life under the artists knife. The crest rail has a soft backward curvature, completing ... morethe cyma form of the back that so harmoniously mirrors the curve of the arms and sharper bow of the legs. All edges are molded with delicate reeding, giving a distinct angularity to the curvy Greco-Roman inspired form. ANTIQUE FRENCH LOUIS CARVED WHITE WOOD SETTEE CHAIR CUSTOM OLD SLIP COVER 1 OF 2
We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique settee/chair. This piece has gorgeous lines and features a wooden frame with ornately carved floral details in the French. Louis XVI style. The frame is whitewashed and is paired with a gold striped velvety fabric. The gold does pull a light green in certain lighting so there is a greenish element to the gold. The chair is antique to older vintage and is from the early half of the 20th century. It is rounded in shape with a curved/arched back. The chair has a removable cushion(not attached to the chair) It is stuffed with a combination of feathers and batting. The cushion is very full and comfortable to sit on. The chair has had a custom slip cover made for it at some point. The cover is a heavy cotton and has zippers located on the back of the cover and on the cushion. It has finished details ... moresuch as piping and ruffles. It hides the wooden frame but it is custom made for the chair and therefore I am including it with the chair. The original fabric is in very good condition with only minor signs of age/wear. There are no rips, tears, etc. The wood is also good with a"chippy" appearance that adds to the aged character. The frame is in good condition for its age. There are some minor cracks which are not severe and can be corrected if you so desire. The chair is sturdy but, because of its age, it is not a piece that is meant for everyday or heavy use. It is a lovely accent chair with elegant and graceful lines and details. I am guessing that the slipcover is about 40 years old(based on the stitching and the zipper style) It is in very good condition but it does need to be hand washed as it does have some soiling around the bottom where it has touched the floor. I would recommend hand washing and would hang it up to dry(no machine wash or dry) just to be on the safe side. Please note that this listing is for 1 chair and slipcover. However. We do have the identical chair and another slipcover available should you want a pair. The chair measures 45.5" wide.

This Queen Anne loveseat with carved wood and tapestry style fabric has a delicate floral pattern. It features a floral carved crest rail and scroll armrest fronts. It also has channel back corners that connect the backrest to the arms. It is in good vintage condition. But I don't know the year it was made. This lovely loveseat can be painted in any color that suits you. It shows a little wear on the arm, but this is minimal and can cleaned. It is in excellent condition and is very well constructed of wood(it is not flimsy at all) It measures 14" tall. 11" wide and 5 1/2" deep. The 3 little girls are 2 1/2" tall. The color is a dark blue-almost a navy blue. It is a very unique piece and I bought this piece in the 1979's at a specialty gift store.

The gilded paintwork on this piece is quite outstanding- forget the shabby chic look with rubbed-back. Multicoloured effect, this is the real deal, built up(or should I say worn down) over years of loving ... moreuse. This fantastic settee is well proportioned. And has the elegance and style so often associated with Louis XV pieces. It features small graduated and fluted legs, elegantly sweeping arms, a shaped back featuring carved rosettes, and that gilding! a patina that oozes age and charm. There is natural wear to the gilding, resulting in small flashes of green, brown and rust colours coming through. Very chic! The settee measures 94cm in height. And is 159cm wide across the the two arms. The actual frame of the chair is in very good condition for age. As with all gilded pieces of this type. There is wear to the gilding, giving great effect, and a few chips and touch-ups to the gilding. The upholstery is in good condition free of rips and tears. The padded arm supports are faded when compared to the rest of the fabric, and there are a few"pulls" in the fabric. But certainly no reupholstering necessary, unless it is your preference.
