I did not do anything to mask the actual condition. I simply wiped this down with water and a little tung oil. There is a more noticeable blemish in the back, but this side typically faces a wall and is never seen(see last picture) This is a full size adult chair for an average or normal sized adult. Shipping Fedex ground. In order to ship this for a reasonable rate this chair has to be broken down and shipped in a bicycle box. Ill have all the screwholes labeled(with blue painters tape and clearly marked) with the corresponding screw. You can put this back together in about 10 minutes with a power screw driver. Exquisite Eastlake Victorian rocking chair. I have never seen one quite like this one. Very unique in it's carving as well as it's upholstery. Has a small tear in the upholstery I tried to highlight in the photos as well as a minor stain. I've never tried to clean it off so it may not be permanent for all I know. There's beautiful roses carved in at the top near the head rest as well as some other flower detail near the base. This is a spring back rocking chair and it still works GREAT. This rocking chair was used in the Teller House in Central City. Colorado from the late 1800s until 1991 when the building was converted into a casino. It was put into storage after that. Vintage 1950s Children's Rocking Chair Almost Mint Condition
This is a children's rocking chair from 1953-54. It was purchased as a Christmas present for my wife when she was almost 2 years old. The rocker is 22 inches high by 16 inches wide by 21 inches deep. The green vinyl is all original and in excellent condition- no tears. Rips or repairs. There is a slight rubbing on the edge of the back's top where a head would rest but no excessive wear at all. The blonde wood looks like maple and is in great condition- joints are tight. There was a repair to the underside of the left arm. It looks like there was a split but it does not continue to the top of the arm so you do not notice it at all. Hate to give it up but we are downsizing.

At the very edge of the top of the chair has a knot hole from the wood but other then that it doesn't have any defects. It is 12 inches tall from the floor to the top. 12.5 inches long at the bottom rail and 7 inches wide. Antique Rocking Chair Child's Carpet Rocker Dowels& Glue c.1869 Children's Description. 19th century child-size rocking chair. Made completely of hardwood dowels and glue(doweled and glued) with diagonal side braces. I would imagine it once had a carpet-back or leather-wrapped seat. Measures 24.5"H. 13.75"W(across front runners) 22.5"D(runners) The turned spool turnings are very simple and plain. The only'decoration' on the piece would be the small crown on the top rail. A.k.a. crest rail. I just took another very close look at the chair and noticed some perfectly straight, shiny horizontal'lines' that go around the the diagonal brace(5 of them, either 3-3/4" or 4-1/2" in. apart) and at least 3 down each of the outermost two dowels of the back. These are placed where Hunzinger chairs normally ... moreshow incised lines, but these are not incised, and they are difficult to see until turned to the light on proper angle. The wood has a deep. Dark brown finish on it(ebonized) which has"alligatored" crackled) over the years. The only hardware I found on the entire piece are two flat-head screws(look to be either copper or brass) Which connect the long diagonal side brace to the middle area of the back(top of the brace) The chair is not marked and does NOT fold- it was ever intended to. Everything is in excellent condition. Including the runners. There may be some light soil or dust, but nothing major. No splits or cracks in the wood that I could find. It feels very strong and sturdy, structurally. From a smoke-free home. The style is sometimes referred to as a"Sling Back" Hunzinger, Renaissance revival, Gothic Revival, and/or Eastlake. In good condition, with the following exceptions: right arm has been repaired, left arm is loose at the grip, and the thin veil of lining on the bottom of the seat needs to be replaced. The wood is solid oak or walnut. The fabric is a beautiful rose ash and is unblemished. It is comfortable to sit in or to have as an eye-catching Victorian period piece. Antique Wooden Rocking Chair This Is a Brace Back Rocker with Nice Sausage Turned Spindles GREAT VICTORIAN LOOK This rocking chair shows appropriate wear consummate with its age which dates from around the turn of the century/ 1900's. The original finish is still in tack showing wear worn– rub marks on its edges and other surface areas that should be able to be rejuvenated as opposed to refinished or perhaps just used the way it is… I believe the wood to be mahogany but I am not sure. As I am not an expert on wood. The finish shows pretty much all of what started life on this rocker however one rocker does have some finish loss to the outside bottom portion of it… but overall this rocker has a nice natural patina… There are two screws that were added at some time in this rockers life to secure one of the rockers. The splat is ladder-back style and the stiles have a small button like finial carved into the top on each side. The top rung of the ladder back has 4 sets of 2 nail holes across the top and the finish is a little damaged in this same area. The finish on the stiles is spotty as well. Looks like someone tried to clean the old ... morepatina off in these areas and decided to stop. The armrests are smooth to the touch and have a nice gentle curve where your hands rest. The armrests are supported by ring turned posts that connect to the side stretchers. The arms are also supported by ring turned spindles that connect to the seat. The seat has fresh upholstery and a very firm comfortable cushion. The seat has a slight curve to it as well and it adds to the visual appeal of the chair. The upholstery is very neutral shades of brown with a small floral pattern on it. It matches the wood very nicely. The front legs and stretcher is ring turned. This chair is very sturdy and comfortable. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. This is the most AMAZING old/new antique I have ever seen! This beautiful old chair was rescued from the attic of a decrepit old Victorian mansion near Seaside Park in Bridgeport. CT. The AMAZING THING is that every inch of this chair says NEW-except that it was found layered in very old dust and spider's webs even though it was underneath a dust cover! We had no clue at all to suggest that we would find what we did once the dust was washed away(it was too stuck on to be wiped) As' inch-by-inch of dust was removed, more-and-more sparkling NEW CHAIR was revealed! The style is considered a Windsor, sackback variation with woven seat and back support, and tandem stretchers. It looks like it was painted. I found that in the early 1920's they had a line of furniture that was painted. I'm not sure if this chair is of that age or not. The wood shows some wear and damage to the weaving. Up for auction: Antique Pressed Back"Face" Oak Rocking Chair. The chair is what they call a"Face Chair" due to the pressed face of"Father Wind" on the back. The finish on the chair is in good condition. THe spindles and legs are a bit loose and would need to be re-glued. We purchased it in the condition it is in now more than 25 years ago. It has had some repair work to the bottom(done before we bought it) One set of rungs is wired for more support. We used the chair when our kids were babies. It was the rocker of choice. Antique Purple Rocking Chair
This is an antique rocking chair in very good condition. The wood is mahogany. The material is a dark purple scroll in almost perfect condition. There is no sagging or flaws in this chair. It measures 41" high, 24" wide, and the rockers are 32" deep. I do not know the age but it is well taken care of. There are brass tacks for decoration around the arms and back. I feel that I should add that a few of the brass tacks in the back are missing, which I just discovered as I looked at the picture of the chair. It should be easy to pick some up and since I have had this chair for at least six years I can honestly say that I have never noticed it.
