Very good overall condition, This elegant oak monks chair was crafted in England around 1900. Which places it at the close of the Victorian period and the beginning of the Edwardian period. The oak remains very beautiful, with a lovely patina and a distinct grain. Intricate carvings adorn the front, while the armrests feature turned columns. The most unique feature of this chair is the folding backrest, which drops down and slides forward to make this chair into a two-tiered side table. The seat also opens to reveal a small storage space, making this chair as useful as it is charming. The right armrest has developed a small separation in the wood, which is part of the natural aging process, and there are a few scuffs characteristic of an antique piece, but otherwise this chair remains quite attractive and sturdy. Overall condition is therefore very good. The sides look great. Shown here is the other side. Shown here is the back. The seat opens to reveal a convenient storage space. The oak displays a distinct grain. This seat remains as sturdy as it is elegant. With intricate carvings along the front. We have a nice set of ranch oak table lamps up for auction. These were made by the A Brandt Furniture Company out of Fort Worth Texas. These lamps are made from solid oak and have a unique angled peg design on each side. There are recessed areas on each side that have a metal button in the center. The finish is nice on these western style lamps. The bases measure 15” tall and the base is 5 ½” wide while the top is 3 1/2: wide. The total height to the top of the harp is 25” The lamps have no shades or finials. The base of each has a factory number affixed which were likely catalog or stock numbers. The condition is very nice on these and we note some slight separations in places where the wood pieces were joined together. These could easily be filled with wood wax. Betjemanns Oak Tantalus with 3 Liquor Bottle Decanters- Made in London- Circa 1890's The Carrier is made of Oak& has Brass Fittings. The Brass is marked on the ends with their Hallmark and the word Tantalus Betjemanns Patent 19095 London The Brass Bar has a handle that rolls down when the side lever is pressed. It has a keyhole but no key. This was a locking Tantalus. Their are 3 crystal Decanters with highly reflective Prisms stoppers. One of the decanters has a small chip on the top edge. See picture# 8 and one of the decanters has part of the rim chipped off, a previous owner has had it polished smooth. It is a very heavy item weighing over 14 pounds and measures 14 1/4 inches long and is 13 inches tall to the top of the handle. Vintage Edwardian wooden oak fire screen
Description Vintage classic wooden fire screen dating to the turn of the last century. Each screen is adorned with a different lady from either Greek or Roman origins and is hinged with brass and flat head screws. There is a very arts and crafts feel to this piece which ties in with the period of classic revival enjoyed in the first two decades of the 20th century. The Eastlake style surround emphasizes the period even further. It is in overall excellent condition and would be more decorative than practical nowadays. But it could be used as a table screen. Welcome to my listing for this Bold pair of Oak Candlesticks. Each has a ornate brass top. Probably nickel plated, some of the brass is showing slightly. One of the brass tops is slightly bent a little, it is very sturdy and proves quite difficult to unbend. The oak bodies are in sturdy condition but both do have wear to them. The varnish is a little scuffed in places. See pics. One of the stands to the feet has been replaced at some point with an unfortunate looking nail, this is not noticeable but will probably need replacing to avoid damage to your surface. Romweber Viking Oak Refectory Table
Viking Oak Refectory Table This is a refectory table that was made by the Romweber Company in the late 1940's. The leaves on each end store under the table and slide out and up when you want the table extended. The table is 66w x 38d x 30h with the leaves stored. Each leaf is 21" It is in excellent working condition. And the overall condition is good with only expected signs of wear for it age. Great table! Thanks for looking. A terrific pair of antique Irish bog oak& gilt metal studs. Their high relief oak tops with carved& engraved harps surrounded by olive wreaths. Set into gilt metal button-activated patent locking backs stamped'WE Wiley& Son Patent' Dating from around 1870/80 and in excellent, fully working condition throughout with no loss or damage, they weigh 12.2 grams together and measure ¾ of an inch diameter.
