The piece is made of excellent quarter sawn oak with an old refinish. The chair has excellent form with a bowed arms with slats below. There are also pinned through tenons at the front and corbels underneath. The front seat rail is beveled and arched and there are double pins at the top and bottom. The original spring seat has been professionally recovered with high quality black leather. The piece is unmarked with is by L&JG Stickley#427. The chair is about 26 1/2 inches long. The width of the chair at the arms is approximately 24 1/2 inches. The seat is approximately 17 1/2 inches deep(front to back) the front of the seat is about 15 inches high. This would be a fine addition to a craftsman bungalow decor. Identification This antique L. and J.G. Stickley chair retains its original"THE WORK OF L. J.G. STICKLEY" paper label beneath one arm. As shown. It is circa early 20th century. Condition The chair looks good overall. It has its original leather seat. Which has wear and some staining. The finish appears to be original. The oak has minor nicks, scuffs, and dings, all of which are normal wear for an antique chair. The back side of one of the front vertical posts has a minor, tight 7" long split along the wood grain; this does not appear to reduce the stability of the post. Condition: Used Location: Perkasie, United States American Black Painted Bowback Antique Windsor Chair Early 19th Century Item# 100008WPN02 This is a fine American Black Painted Antique Windsor Bowback ... moreSide Chair. Crafted during the first years of the 19th Century. It has a wonderful black paint over another layer of reddish orange, probably also a layer over the original and currently unknown color. The back of the chair has a graceful bow, carefully grasping each through-tenoned splinted spindle before diving through the single solid plank pine seat. The seat is heavily patinated, with deep grooves and wear from decades of active use. The entire chair sits over four splayed bamboo carved legs, all four of which tenon through the plank seat before being secured with a splint, each held firmly and perfectly in place with a bamboo carved H-stretcher. This is a most charming chair, in excellent condition with wonderful patina and character throughout- the early painted surfaces are probably not the original layers, but seem to protect earlier layers beneath, these quite possibly the earliest surfaces. A wonderful find for those that are passionate about fine windsor chairs. Measurements: Seat 13.5" wide x 14.5" deep. The seat sits 16" from the ground and the back of the seat is 33.5" high. Condition Report: Paint worn throughout. Probably not the original surfaces. Deep groves and losses in the plank seat. Chips and abrasions throughout. One nail, appears to be modern, on side of chair stabalizing hoop back. Plank seat split with a butterfly joint securing seat from beneath and two screws locking it in place. Chair is structurally strong, but could possibly be too weak to use functionally as a chair. Please review the images in the slideshow for a full overview of condition.

Original Antique Tiger Oak Arts& Crafts Mission Oak Library Table Desk with one drawer and shelves on sides. Very nice grain pattern and color. Good used condition. I will describe condition as best as possible and have taken many pictures which show every side of item. PLEASE NOTE- white spots on desk in photos are fresh snowflakes that just started to fall. Desk is stored indoors but photos were taken while moving the desk. Measurements: Approx. 29-1/4" in height. 44" wide at widest part Table Top measures 27-3/4" x 43-7/8" 22" from floor to bottom of drawer legs are 6" wide outside edge of leg to outside edge of other leg approx. 36" shelves on sides have opening approx. 11" high x 24-1/4" wide from floor to bottom of cross pieces between legs is approx. 5-7/8" Handle pulls are original ... moreto desk and could easily be changed as one has a screw through front of knob while other is entirely wood front. Selling a wonderful 1930s Golden Oak/ Mission Oak library/ recipe file cabinet/ox in very good condtion. This fine two drawer box retains the original solid brass hardware on the machine dovetailed drawers. THIS IS VERY HANDSOME IN PERSON BUT I AM A REALLY POOR PHOTOGRAPHER! The finish is lighter in color than these murky pictures indicate. Size is approximately 15 1/2" across. 6" tall by 14 7/8" deep. This was made from oak with a strong, prominent, handsome grain. Primary wood is solid oak, secondary wood(cabinet bottom and drawer bottoms) is a softwood, most likely poplar. This is an American made file cabinet. The dimensions of the three regular chairs are 37 1/2" Tall at the back. 18 1/2" tall in front at the sitting point, The front is 18 1/2" wide and the rear is 15 1/2" wide, the chair is 17" deep. The arm chair is 39" Tall in the rear, 18" Tall to the seat, 26 1/2 Tall to the arms, the front is 23" wide, the rear is 18" wide, the arms are 21" wide at the rear and 26 1/2" wide at the front. The arm chair is 18" deep. These chairs are really solid and are in great condition with a few marks from regular use from over the years. Features four iron double hooks-the kind that will hold a hat above and a coat below; these hooks were originally painted a gold-brass color but have aged to a distressed finish. The style is somewhat Mission/Arts& Crafts-very simple in design; it looks like oak wood. But I am no expert so I can't say for sure-please refer to photos to judge. Condition is pretty much as it appears in photos. It is old; as its handcrafted it is somewhat primitive and is unfinished on undersides that don't show. Which is typical with antiques; it shows normal vintage wear(some dings here and there and a few hairlines-one was behind a hook-see pics) but nothing too bad. Two of the"feet" ... moreare loose and one had a screw added to it on underside at some point but otherwise the feet were nailed on; buyer may wish to nail down the feet more as one popped off while I was taking it apart for packing and I popped it back on, but all that said, it looks good overall and is sturdy and stands fine. It has been taken apart to save on shipping costs. But will easily go back together using a screwdriver for the hooks and a pair of pliers or wrench to tighten the base bolt. A wonderful antique find and a practical storage piece as well- Ask questions if you have any-this item. Antique Mission Oak Library Desk I can find no markings on this except a#17 in pencil in the drawer slide and a# 17 in pencil in the drawer. I assume they did this so they would know which drawer went with which desk, and does not allude to who made the desk. I got this from my wife's uncles estate. He was 96 when he passed and he got this desk from his parents estate in Spokane Wa. when they passed. It is made from solid oak and on the ends of the top board you can see that the top is tongue and grooved. Very hard to show in the pictures. I don't know tiger oak from quarter sawn oak so you be the judge. There is some what appears to be grey paint on one corner of the top. please see pictures. Someone drove 2 finish nails about 2' long into the top of one of the legs. One leg has a chip out of it at the bottom about the size of ... morea quarter and another leg has a little grey paint at the bottom of one side. See pictures. I have made no attempt to repair. Clean or restore the finish on this desk, it is in the condition it was given me in. All in all this desk is in great vintage condition given its age. Antique ARTS & CRAFTS Shop of The Crafters INLAID Bookcase MISSION Oak Stickley
Great piece of Arts and Crafts furniture by Shop of the Crafters. Has a large middle door and 2 small side doors. Signed with partial early paper label on back shown in picture 11. It is large measuring 88" tall. 43" wide and 17" at its largest depth. It does come with a key. Issues: 1. At one pont this bookcase had been painted white. It has been refinished but you can see in photos there is still some small white paint residue inside it and in the inlaid parts, please refer to photos. 2. The very top of the bookcase has warped a little and cracked some shown in pictures 7& 8. 3. The very bottom right of the large door has a crack in the wood shown in picture 9. 4. The 2 bale pulls for the small side doors are missing but the large middle door has its bale pull. 5. The top right square is missing its small glass piece ... morebut I'm having one cut for it so will have a glass piece their when picked up. 6. It comes with one original shelf but the rest are not original to the bookcase. They were cut to fit this bookcase though shown in the last picture. Has other normal wear from age as well. The chair is made of solid quarter-sawn white oak. The chair is in excellent condition with normal wear. Minor nicks, scratches and a few paint spatters. There is some water staining on on back post as well as a water ring on the arm(see photos) The joints are all solid and tight, with no looseness. This is an awesome set of flat files that came out of Washington state. They beautifully made. I don't know the manufacturer, but it could be globe wernicke. There are three sections, the bottom one having legs attached and one deeper drawer. The outside dimensions of the unit are 50 wide x 36 deep x 65 high. The inside of each drawer is 46 wide x 32 deep x 1.75 high. the deeper drawer is 6.5 deep. All of the drawers have FINISHED sectioned plywood interior. Not like the standard hamilton stapled thin masonite. This unit was made to hold up for a LONG time. It is very heavy. There is not a finished top portion but one could easily be made from a piece of 3/4 inch oak plywood and some edging. When i shipped it from(the middle of nowhere) washington state it cost me about 600 bucks! i think it could be done much cheaper as i am on a major ... moretrucking route now, i will help to arrange shipping after the auction but i cannot give an accurate quote till then.
