Item Description: Listed is a pair of geometric form vintage 1980’s benches which originated from the lobby of the Ralston Purina Corporate headquarters in nearby St. Louis. MO. I picked these from a used furniture liquidator. Whom told me they had acquired them from a call from the Purchasing Manager of the business/building when they were redecorating the lobby in the late 90’s, the furniture liquidator had had them stored in their warehouse for some years, before I broke down and bought them, thinking them very right now/up-n-coming FAB for a higher end decorator or gallery to refurbish. Great Bones! The end forms of the benches are fiberglass form. And the bench seats easily unbolt and would make for an affordable somewhat easy reupholster. Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin Chairs. Your chance to own a very rare set of 6 arm dining chairs. Each chair measures 32" Tall to the back by 28" Long by 24" Wide. The chrome is in outstanding condition. The seats are plush and soft and there is no evidence of hardening. They are very solid and will last for another 50 years! The upholstery will need a deep cleaning but there are no rips. Tears or holes. These came from the home of the original owner and they have the original receipts attached to each of them. here we have a chrome bench by milo baughman for the DIA corporation(design institute of america) this bench measures 60 inches long x 16.75 wide and 16.75 high. it is an elegant design befitting a special place in your lovely. Midcentury modern, deco, hollywood regency, or even a mix of styles home or abode. I personally see this in an empire setting with some asian artifacts(but I digress) this bench has no issues at all and is in structurally excellent condition. it weights about 50 lbs. This auction is for one vintage Thayer Coggin lounge chair and ottoman designed by Milo Baughman. The chair and rolling ottoman are solid and comfortable. Cosmetically. The chair and ottoman are both covered in their original beige/tan fabric with very little wear. There is one spot of what appears to be nail polish on the seat cushion of the chair(see picture) It was hard to photograph, it is barely seen unless you are looking for it. The ottoman has a tiny white spot near the top edge and a grey mark on one corner. The chrome shines like new with only minimal scratches and wear(see pictures) The black meshing on the underside of the chair has tears in a few spots. The dimensions of the chair are 29.5" wide, 29.5" deep, and 25" tall. Signed Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin couch/sofa reupholstered in 100% Colombian Cow Hide. The hairs are there. Original vinyl was an ugly green so I have been planning to redo this for a while and finally got it done. It took a while to find a cow hide this big. This couch had the middle projected seating area reupholstered in the hide. With black Naugahyde else ware. I had the two arm rests upholstered with a strip of the hide to break up the black Naugahyde surrounding the hide. I think my upholsterer did an incredible job, as he always does. This is a head turner. This couch retains its original Thayer Coggin manufacturer's label as well as the very early Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin label. Item Description: Listed is a vintage 1970’s geometric brass plated over tubular form steel( base w/ glass top Coffee/Cocktail Table. I consider this a re-do table because of oxidation to base. And brass finish. I have documented the piece showing worst close up. There is one dime size rust spot on the longest tube which connects the two ends together, this largest rust spot is located on the bottom of the tube facing the ground. There is also a speckling of rust/oxidation/brass plating loss on all the pieces. This is a refurbishable table. As it is sturdy, and all welds OK, just needs new plating/finish. All 4 foot peg levelers are accounted for. 1 small rubber suction cup missing where finger is pointing in photo which would hold glass firmly in place. Fantastic Mid Century Modern Danish style recliner designed by Milo Baughman for James Furniture. The recliner is in great condition overall. With only tiny nicks/ scuffs to the wood that do little to detract from the near mint appearance of this fine chair. Wood is not dry, and is smooth, glossy and still wearing it's original finish. Chair has no holes, rips, burns, or other damage that would normally be present on a 50 year old item. All buttons are present. Foot rest appears to have been re-covered at some point, and looks good. Chair functions as it should, and is very comfortable. A very nice example of this rare chair. Fantastic Milo Baughman Floating Chrome Chair! Upholstered in a light blue grey flannel fabric that is a bit faded( you can see it when the cushion is removed) Has one small tear on upper edge of right side cushion. Chrome has no scratches or dents but has some light oxidation along the bottom that scrapes off with my fingernail. I am not sure how to polish it so I left it alone. This chair is very structurally sound- has no issues- no sagging- good spring! Can be used as is or just reupholstered! Measurments are approx. 37.5" wide. 30" deep, 24" tall,with top of back cushion 27"inside of seat 22"x24" 8" above ground. Quality welded chromed steel construction. Very interesting sculptural design that looks like some of the shelves designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. Vintage shelf with great Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin look. I am not sure of the manufacturer) 54 inches tall x 18 square. One glass panel at bottom is missing- the bottom section that rests on the floor should also have a piece of glass. Chrome is excellent. there are a few marks here and there but nothing that stands out. One corner of one of the glass panels has a small chip but overall the glass is nice as well. Do not believe this to be the original covering. This does have some weight to it and is a nice solid foot stool. As you can see the chrome is gleeming and is ready for your mid century modern home. The chair is dated 1980(please see picture 2) I believe the frame is brass plated steel. The frame has several areas or rust. Mostly on the bottom. The rust seems to be mostly on the surface. The frame otherwise has normal vintage scuffing and wear. One of the fabric covered arm rests is missing. There are several holes in the front and back of the fabric of the back rest(please see pictures) The foam and padding is comfortable and seems to be in good condition and has no bad odor. Vtg MCM Milo Baughman Travertine Italy Marble Brass Dining Table Base
This is a vintage Milo Baughman style Travertine table base that is unsigned and made circa 1960's. The Travertine is hollow in the middle but has thick walls and is very heavy weighing 112lbs. It measures 16" wide x 11 1/4" deep and 28 1/2" tall. The brass plated braces are 49 1/2" and 24" Condition is very good with some mild scratches and some small chips are the very corner of the base. The braces have some scratches and scrapes but overall look great. This is a very solid and substantial piece that is a little too heavy for Greyhound shipping so it will be packed and sent UPS freight. Thank you!

Mid-Century Thonet, Milo Baughman-Style Tubular Steel Rocking Chair Faux Leather
Unique ~ One of A Kind! Mid-Century Modernist Ergonomically-Shaped Rocking Chair Black Tubular Steel Thonet-Style Rockers and Milo Baughman-Style Leather Arm Rests. Faux-Leather Upholstery I don't know who manufactured this chair. I could not find a label. But this likely a one-of-a-kind Troy Sunshade chair, due to the type of supports and structure. The curved-metal style of the rockers resembles Thonet. Perfectly balanced and comfortable. The ergonomic shape of the upholstery indicates that it is from the Modernist era. When Marcel Breuer, Mart Stam, and Ulrich Bohme were creating their own individual styles. The leather arm rests are also unique. Too. They resemble those featured on several pieces that Milo Baughman designed for Thayer Coggin of North Carolina. Baughman created modernist pieces for Thayer Coggin from 1953 until his ... moredeath in 2003. This chair is definitely a rare. Hand-crafted rocking chair. It may even have been a prototype of sorts. If you look closely, you can see the welds throughout the framing and in the curves on the rockers. The original leather arm straps(as shown in the last picture) were cracked and broken. So I took the chair to a harness maker and had him install new leather straps with brass studs. The upholstery is made up of three sections- two pieces for the backrest. And one for the seat. The backrest cushions are supported by a painted black steel frame. I removed the screws in order to search for a name and cleaned each seat section. The brown faux leather appears to be in pretty nice condition. I have re-assembled the seat sections after cleanup. Three buttons will have to be replaced. This chair is so easy to disassemble that it would be a breeze to reupholster it. The black metal tube rockers have seen some use over the years. The black paint is worn off the bottoms. Mid Century Burl Wood Parsons Dining Table Milo Baughman Thayer Coggin
This table is from the 1970s and is unsigned. But very likely Thayer Coggin designed by Milo Baughman. These tables are extraordinarily rare and beautiful examples of mid century modern design(see prices of other examples of the same table below) Simple, no frills function of a Parsons table meets the epitome of luxurious materials. The table includes two leaves. Shown in photos with one. All panels of the burl(table and leaves) seem to be from the same source and were carefully matched by the furniture maker for a flawless overall pattern and color even when fully expanded. Dimensions: without leaves table top is 39 inches square. 28 inches high; fully expanded it is 83 x 39 inches. Each leaf measures 22 inches wide. Addition of one leaf makes spacious seating for 6(as pictured) Two leaves accommodates 8- 10. Other examples: Condition: Made ... moreof olive ash burl in very good original condition. Two points of loss on legs, one tiny loss at one corner, and a couple very minor dents at corners of leaves.
