It has a ding on the top left that has been repaired. There three noticeable scratches on the top that I show in the photos. There is also a scratch on the front top ridge you will see in the photos. Otherwise light wear around the bottom of legs and inconspicuous wear to be expected with its age. The buffet looks great and from two feet the only damage that draws the eye is the scratch in front. I have lots of Mid Century items listed and more on the way. These are hard to find and very sought after by designers a retro shelving wall unit it looks better in person my camera is junk and the pics aren't very good. You get the wall unit but NOTHING that is on it those items are just for scale purpose. This has 5 storage cabinets 1 of those has an extra shelf inside it. The other 4 shelves are adjustable so you can customize to your needs. Then there are 3 drawers in the left side. All of these cabinets can be moved around also. The rails unbolt so you can make this 1. 2 or 3 stacks wide. This is 85 wide and 75 tall and 16 deep. It is in good shape but does have normal wear the only real flaw is the locking mechanism in the center cabinet is missing. It is just like the mechanism in an old dresser and you can find them but honestly ... moreI don't lock anything in it so it's never been an issue and the door stays up without locking it so you can still use it. A mid-century iconic favorite, the surfboard shape is celebrated here beyond compare! Functional mid-century styling. The glass pieces have a green tint you can see at the edges, and they simply slide into place so remove easily for cleaning. This appears to be Teak, Rosewood and Walnut with a lighter toned burl wood used for the surfboard shapes. The set has some minor finish imperfections consistent with age and normal use. These include scratches. Most of which completely disappeared with polishing. There is an area with quite a few scratches on the surface of the bottom piece of the tallboy, but they are ofcourse totally hidden when the top piece is in place. The credenza endured some damage to its top right corner in the back, not very noticeable since its in the back corner. We are pleased to offer this incredible. Mid Century Modern desk! Superbly manufactured by the Drexel Heritage Furniture Company, this beautiful and functional desk features Mid Century sleek styling and has a splendid low profile. The desk is has a raised back section and accommodates two side, and very deep, roll top drawers. There is a recessed area in between the roll top sides. This area contains two small drawers(one on top of the other) which are flanked by two opened slot sections for mail, keys, etc. The writing section is directly in front of this area. There are 3 drawers at the desk front, a large center drawer and two identical, smaller side drawers. The desk is crafted from fruitwood(strongly grained) with inlay/stencil trim along the front. Sides and back of the desk. It is stained in a medium/to dark color with the inlay/stencil ... morein a lighter finish. There is an extensive use of brass trim and hardware. Large brass inset drawer pulls adorn the lower front section along with decorative brass fasteners. The desk attaches to two wooden X leg bases. The bases are faux gilded and slightly distressed. There are large, wooden, faux gilded knob finials on the end of each leg(both top and bottom of the legs) The desk is marked under a side drawer. It is from the Drexel line of Oxford Square and the piece is dated 1/1971. This is rare. Hard to find piece. It is exceptional both in style and in quality. It is in very good condition with expected signs of age/use. There is one water glass mark on the top which is not too distracting. There are, of course, minor scuffs. However, overall the desk looks fantastic with minimal scarring. We purchased the desk along with a matching end table. It is listed separately. The desk is 35" tall. It is 54" long and is 24" deep(desk section) and 25.5" deep from the wooden finials. The two outermost doors have a single adjustable shelf. The center doors open to reveal two sliding drawers. Top cabinet has two original glass doors with recessed groove handles and rounded edges. Large Johannes Andersen teak Mid Century Modern Danish Credenza/Sideboard. Finished all the way around- front and back. Measurements: LENGTH: 7 ft. 10.5 in. 240 cm) DEPTH: 19.69 in. 50 cm) HEIGHT: 33.46 in. 85 cm) The top has been refinished. There is slight bubbling of the veneer in the very middle. No bigger than a lemon- and only visible in the glare of sunlight. I can provide pics upon request. Many areas on the front that are imperfections; I photographed all issues, which are older teak oil tiny droplets(pics 3& 5) Some surfaces scratches as seen in pic 4. Pic 5 shows a lighter color strip on the left side of the drawers(looking at them) that is@ 5 inches wide and goes down the length of the drawers. At the top of pic 2 you can see a slight area of lighter wood color on the top of the left side tamboured door. All of the issues ... moreare very minor and hard to see, but please enlarge each photograph and check everything out to make sure you are happy with your purchase. After looking closer at the unit. It appears that the right side drawers(looking at it) have had some repair done to the ends where they wrap around the end of the unit. It is hard to tell, and I am not sure, but please look at and enlarge picture 6 for a close up of the drawer ends. The tamboured doors work nicely. The credenza features finely sculptured drawer pulls that wrap around each end of the unit. The left side of the open area has two removable and adjustable shelves that are the same size. The right side has two adjustable and removable shelves but the bottom shelf is recessed as you can see in pic 12. Four of the original shelf pins are missing- I used wood dowels in their place. Older Danish furniture uses larger shelf pins than are currently made. And I am trying to locate some to provide with this unit. Vintage Danish Modern Credenza/ Cabinet approx 49" wide 17" back and 33-1/2" high. It has 6 drawers and then a sliding door and 2 adjustable shelves. It is in as pictured vintage condition with some wear and soil. As you can see in the picture the bottom of the shelf side has some stains. The drawers are all wood construction and the back of the unit is also finished so that it could be used as a room divider as well. Peter Hvidt Mid Century Danish Modern Teak Cabinet Credenza Dresser Chest
Mid Century Danish Modern teak tamboured door cabinet designed by Peter Hvidt& Orla Molgaard-Nielsen for John Stuart. Measures: 35.5" wide x 19" deep x 37" tall. Please note there is only one shelf. I am not sure if this originally came with two shelves. There are shelf pins holes for both levels of the unit. The original shelf pins are missing. The shelf pins made today; 1/4" or 5mm. Do not fit these larger holes that are prominent on older Danish furniture. I made shelf pins from 5/16" wood dowels. You can see them in picture 3. They could be stained to match the wood if you wish. There are four small holes drilled from the back of this unit. As seen in picture 10. I assume whomever owned this piece previously used it as a media/entertainment center. The largest hole is slightly smaller than a dime. This piece ... moreis signed. Please se pic 11. Issues: Slight surface mark on top rim of cabinet in the middle. Approximately.5" long, as seen in pic 4. Small and light surface makr in center of left bottom quadrant door, as seen in pic 5, that is approximately 2" long. The top has a planter mark/circle that is approximately 7" in diameter, as seen in pic 8. There is another faint water circle approximately 3" in diameter in the back left area(looking at it) as seen in pic 7, but I can provide a better close up of this. The top also has numerous surface abrasions and darker markings as seen in pics 7& 9 in a close-up. There is a small nick less than.5" on the bottom right corner of the outer trim(looking at it) as seen in pic 6. If you are interested in more photographs please ask.
