The table stands 30" tall is 48" long, and 28" deep. The original hardware is still on the table drawer. This is an absolutely amazing relic from the Victorian era that is a must-have for any antique collection.

Flame mahogany library reading table circa 1840
Stunning late Georgian/ early Victorian(circa 1825- 1840) Library quartet reading stand in flame mahogany. Beautiful french polished finish with the usual marks of age here and there- see photos. The book holding ledges pull out and store inside if you want to use this as a completely flat topped side table and they simply push back in to hold books when the leaves are raised. Each of the four leaves can be raised or lowered independently. Has a carved lion head at one end and a carved claw foot. Lift mechanism still works though almost two centuries of use mean that it's a bit stiff to use and slightly wobbly when it's in the raised position. Looks better down anyway and far less strain on the mechanism to use it that way! One advantage of this early two strut design is that when down. It's very solid and will support heavy objects ... moresuch as lamps sculptures etc without bowing) A few long dead woodworm holes in the round softwood piece that attaches the table section to the lift shaft(see last photo) but none elsewhere. Couple of splits in the wooden base of the drawer section due to contraction with age and a similar split in one of the top sections that has been polished over. one of the end scrolls on the top of the front leg is also missing- see picture 9. And that's absolutely all the faults- very few for a piece of this age! Fantastic piece of old library furniture. Vintage English Solid Mahogany 2 Tier Rolling Bookcase Table Old Library Piece Offered here is a vintage solid mahogany English rolling bookcase. It features 2 shelves and sits atop coasters so that it can be rolled about. The top shelf goes through the piece entirely while the bottom shelf is divided in 2 equal size shelfs on each side of the piece. It is in excellent condition and is quite sturdy and ready to use. It does have some light surface scratches but nothing that would not be expeceted of a vintage piece of this age. It can also be used as a table so it can serve more than one purpose. It stands 26 inches tall and the top measures 26 1/2 inches wide by 16 1/2 inches deep. The middle shelf measures 22 inches by 14 inches. This is a large and impressive table with a variety of potential uses. It is made from a mix of solid walnut with walnut veneers on the flat surfaces. The table is in excellent antique condition except for the veneered top which we evaluate as good. The veneering on the top is not loose but it has a number of small chips. Scratches and minor repairs that are typical of an antique table top. The most significant is a 6" long repaired crack along one edge and a fine crack that runs side to side(see photos) The top is very usable as it is, especially if you appreciate antiques as they are with minor visual imperfections. Measuring approx. 43" wide x 25" x 28.5" tall. Striking burl panels all around four sides, replaced leatherette vinyl blotter top. The detail in this piece is beautiful with the carved walnut lock cover! This desk looks like it's ready to use right out of the shipping box. Keep in mind this piece dates to the Civil War Era and will show signs of wear from years of pampered use that include faint scratches. Dings& dust! I believe the green top is a replacement it looks very good. Use the enlarge button on the photos to get a good look at what you are buying. Condition: Sturdy ready to use. Good condition. The finish could be original? It looks satin like in nature and smooth to the touch. The drawer pulls in and out working very well. The original key is included and works the lock the way it was meant to. I will pick at the not so obvious flaws ~ The rollers are original with metal castor and wooden wheels. One of the metal caster attachments is missing a piece see photo#10, photo#8 is how it should look. This does not deter from its use just pointing it out. The turned decorative walnut knob on both sides of the stretcher base have some slight chipping. Keep in mind these chips are on the bottom of the knob so it's hidden when you look at the table see#11. The original manufacturer tag is still attached inside the drawer reading"F. Geldowsky of E. Cambridge Massachusetts" The last photo show the bottom of the drawer that has one piece wood! Tobey Stickley Oak Arts and Crafts Library or Trestle Table
Here is a wonderful Arts and Crafts oak trestle or library table fresh from a Nebraska estate. I believe it was made by Tobey Furniture but it is not shown in the Tobey book. It has a similar cutout on the ends as some others in the Tobey book. The top is a full one inch thick and has clip corners. The table is 42 inches by 25 1/2 inches and is 29 1/4 inches tall. It has a bottom shelf with a cutout at each end. The splayed ends give this a wonderful look. The bottom shelf has through tenon with pegs. It is in excellent condition. No stains and just some minor scratches which I have tried to show in the photos. There are some touched up scratches on one side shown in photos 3 and 4. The bottom of the feet are slightly dry and could be touched up with finish but there is no rot or deterioration of the wood. We inherited the table from mother. She inherited from her grandparents who lived in Elmira, NY. We were told it was built in italy or spain in the mid 1800, was bought by great,great grandparents and then given to each generation. It has had very good treatment over the years. Not sure of the original owners. No repairs had to be made through the years due to the care given to it. The brass works was cleaned twenty years ago. Inlay on table is of two birds, autmn leaves. The table is in excellant shape. Value should be at $25,000 or more but is negotiable. My great-great grandparents furnished their two story home, in Elmira, NY in the 1800 area in very expensive, victorian and french style antiques.

Very pleased to offer this incredible GF General Fireproofing table from the 1960s. It is in excellent vintage condition and everything has been thoroughly cleaned and polished. The table is from their"Generalaire" line. And is painted an unusual dark gunmetal bluish-gray color. It has beautifully tapered legs with shiny stainless caps with rubber pads underneath. It also has a wide center drawer on one side that closes flush with the lower surround of the table top. Total table dimensions are 70" long, 36" wide and 30" tall. We are pleased to offer to the market this beautiful antique table. This is a lamp/library/alcove table that is absolutely stunning! There was some restoration work done on this piece at an earlier point in time. The table measures 50.5" length x 30" wide x 28" high. It is 22.25" to the bottom of the skirt. The top surface of this piece boasts an elaborate inlaid design made from satinwood/ebony and other veneers. There are carved and applied acanthus leaf designs on the front legs and there is also carving on the lower sections of the legs. The top is constructed of five boards. There is some slight separation that can be seen in the photographs. The stretcher on this has been re-glued and there are some age cracks on the legs. Original brass makers tag says SIEKERT& BAUM STATIONERY CO. MILWAUKEE WI. They were contemporaries and competitors of Globe Wernicke. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE c1915 FRENCH ENGLISH LIBRARY ENTRY SOFA TABLE BARLEY TWIST LEG
We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique library/entry table! This stunning, French or English inspired table, manufactured by the Knoxville Chair and Table Company dates to around 1915. It features French Country design with quarter sawn oak plank top, barley twist legs, and cane insets in the skirted sections. The oak ranges from golden to dark and the graining is exceptional. The table has a single large drawer on the front side with original, ornate, teardrop pulls. The sides and the back of the table repeat the skirted and cane inset design so the table is beautiful from every angle. The bottom of the table features braced legs and center stretcher bar. The table has the original flat screws and bolts still intact. The manufacturer's sticker is fixed inside the drawer and a partial sticker is still attached under the table ... moretop. The Knoxville Chair Company, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was founded in 1901 and closed in 1935. This table predates their"Art Deco" pieces which were much more modern looking. The table is in very good condition with very little signs of age or use. There is one hole in one of the cane sections(see photo 6) It is very hard to discern and certainly does not distract from the table. The table top is in good condition. There is one ring where a vase or something sat, but, because of the grain pattern, it is not glaring or distracting. The table has a more"oiled" finish as opposed to a varnished finish. ANTIQUE REGENCY ROSEWOOD BRASS INLAID SOFA/LIBRARY TABLE W/ORIG. LOCKSET & KEY!
This is a beautiful Rosewood Regency period brass inlaid pedestal sofa/library table with a large drawer. Including original lockset and key! Purchased in London ~1952. It’s been in the family ever since with it’s unrestored. Original finishes and patina. Dimensions: 56" wide with leaves open(up) 36" wide with leaves closed(down) 29¾" deep 27¼" high Drawer: ~18½” wide x 22¾“ long x 2¼” interior drawer depth) Top and Drop Leaves- Fabricated with beautiful. Aged Rosewood the top and leaves are decorated with two lines of brass string inlay which includes four“8-pointed star” motifs in each corner of the two leaves and four scrolled inlays centered on each side of the top. The leaves are supported in the open position by lyre-shaped brackets(fly-backs? which have brass-inlaid 4-leaf motifs on the ... moreends. Brass string inlays are loose/bulging at various points. Although no brass appears to be missing. Table top/leaf edges are trimmed with rosewood with at least 2 small pieces missing. Top piece has some checking in the wood; the finish varies in glossiness in several spots; nicks; spots; and scratches. All typical for the age of an unrestored piece like this. Front. Back, Drawer, and Lockset– There is one large brass inlaid dove-tailed drawer complete with its’ original lockset and key. This drawer is nearly the full depth of the table and there is a“dummy drawer” face at the back(including a dummy brass inlaid keyhole) The front apron has two decorative raised panels to either side of the drawer with lavishly inlaid scroll-work. The back is the same design as the front. The underside of the drawer has a scribed line in the center of the wood( The l ockset works. But not smoothly. The key will raise the 2 lock pins. But will not retract the pins all the way down. Pedestal. Base, and Legs– The table stands stable on a rosewood-wrapped round pedestal and base with four sabre-shaped legs ending in the original“hairy-claw-foot” brass casters. This is a fantastic old wooden side table. One side has faux leather books. The other side has a door that opens. There are small open shelves on both ends. Aged brass paw& claw feet and a beautiful brass pull. I believe this housed an old tube radio at one time as there are two round holes in the bottom for cords or wires. The books read, THE WORKS OF SHAKESPEARE, RADIO ART. The table is approx 27" tall, 24" wide and 15" deep. There is some minor damage to the finish, but does not really detract too much because the finish is speckled and busy. There is a tiny gouge in the bottom of the cabinet door.
