It appears as though the table was refinished at some point. Though I am unable to say for certain. All of the table parts and hardware seem to be original, except for 4 screws on the bottom of the table braces. The rest of the screws are older, straight slot screws while these 4 are newer, phillips head screws. There are a few heavier scratches on the table surface, which we have attempted to show in pictures. There may be other small scratches or spots of wear, but I see nothing of significance to report. ORIGINAL ANTIQUE fantastic Gustav Stickley mission oak Bungalow library Trestle Table! Rare piece. Made circa 1910. Mortise and wood peg construction, and having a broad lower shelf. See reference book `Stickley Brothers Furniture` by Koon, p.106. A few minor stains and scuffs to top surface(see 4th photo for worst of it, dark scratch in center of top) Stickley paper label is missing. Measures nearly 29" high(31" with casters) x 48" W(top) x 30" D(top) Overall in very nice condition for age. Please note that everything is complete and in tact except there are no screws to fasten top. If shipped everything comes apart as shown in last photo. There is one minor missing chip to wood at bottom of extension where peg is inserted. Shown in 3rd photo closeup of left peg insert. You have to look closely to see and it does not ... moreaffect strength of table, just cosmetic only. The only other minor issue is that top is not all one piece. It was originally made by joining multiple oak planks. The top is separated at one of these plank joints so the top is in 2 pieces, one is about 2/3 of top, the other is 1/3 of top. This joint matches up nicely once top pieces are mounted in place with screws that hold top, but there is a seam. This table is located in Louisville. Kentucky, so free local pickup in person. We have an amazing antique solid quatersawn oak harvest farm style dining table in excellent condition for sale. It is 8' long x 36" wide x 31" high. It is very sturdy and I was told and believe it came out of a library It can be seen at Assemblage' at 210 S. Washington street 98104 in Pioneer Square. Hours are Wednesday- Sunday from 11 to 5. Credit cards accepted and local deliveries available. If shipped it will be shipped freight and the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. We are able to help arrange packing and shipping at a reasonable fee. Typically we use Freightqoute or Unishipper to get the best rates and it is usually less than you would expect.

Original Gustav Stickley #614 Quarter Sawn Oak Library Table Medium Brown
Quarter sawn oak. 2 drawer, library table with Gustav Stickley red decal inside drawer has the typical through tenon construction and hammered pulls. The decal style dates from 1905-1912. Size = 29 1/4" d x 42 1/8" w x 30 h. In very good used condition with some staining, abraded spots, and knicks consistent with age and use and a scratch on lower stretcher/shelf. The finish is a rich medium brown, not black or orange. Photographs tend to make the finish appear more orange than it is. There is a slight separation of one board on the top, otherwise the table is in tight. See photos for condition details. I believe this to be model#614 but the dimensions vary slightly from the standard. I can recommend two shippers that I have used successfully. Or am happy to work with a shipper of your choosing.

5 feet wide x 3 feet deep the height from floor to top is 30 1/2 inches. From floor to bottom edge of drawers is 25 1/2 inches has a small phone connection box inside on bottom left side. Can be seen in pic, no wires has scratches and other surface issues throughout; two indentations on front top right corner. Can be seen in pic, I do NOT know if the white spots on inside of right side are paint or something else that will wash off there are NO drawer'pull' type hardware. But looks as if it had it at one point has two small drawers on each side with the'wood burned' imprint inside; the larger drawer in the center has the paper label underneath has 2 pull out writting/work surfaces on each side above the small drawers. Seat widest measurement 17" Back 14" These pieces have been in my home for 50 years and prior to my acquiring them they were used in a church library. Jamestown made their furniture by hand until after WWI. One chair has a water stain on the seat. The table has a 1/8" hole where a lamp was used. Overall the furniture is in in good condition.
