Beautiful estate found antique Kittinger carved oak desk in very good. Super clean, ready to use condition. This desk is 100% original with no breaks or repairs, original untouched finish. Desk does show normal wear from years of use to top. Included with desk is a beautiful barley twist design authentic antique Kittinger desk char in very good condition. Chair has been recovered at some point with genuine leather upholstery with heavy brass tacks. Desk measures approx. 56 1/2" long x 26" deep x 30" tall Local pick up only just minutes from downtown Cincinnati Ohio. Two piece construction, dovetail cases. The bookcase has a stationary removable shelf. The drop front desk has a drawered cubbyhole, lopers pull forward to support the drop front writing surface. Four graduated drawers to secretary, pine secondary wood. Original brasses, all locks present, and with keys. It measures 5'1" 61" tall by 3'5" 41" wide by 21" deep, the drop front 38-1/2" wide by 13" deep. The bookshelf is 8-3/4" deep. Excellent condition: original unworn finish, mahogany boards without chips or cracks, no ring spots. A very fine vintage. Quality made, Louis XVI style mahogany flat top desk with three drawers. The top has a broad lattice type parquetry framed around. The drawers have original brass knobs, tapered brass booties. Drawer interiors are of light stained oak. Burnt wood marked in drawer: Kittinger, Buffalo, 1866. Measures 29-3/4" tall by 54" wide by 28" deep, from floor to bottom desk front 23-3/4" tall. Excellent condition: original unworn finish, no ring spots. Great"Kittinger" 1974 Furniture Catalog of their line from that year. The book is in very good condition for its age. There are no missing pages and I did not see any writing on any of the pages. There are a few color photographs throughout the book. Shows all of their furniture pieces plus the Williamsburg and Newport pieces The front and back covers have very slight separations as seen in the photos. The cover is still properly attached, has one bent corner on the cover and and on area of missing paper on the bottom corner. This is a great reference book for any furniture aficionado. Estimated dating for the globe to be mid-1929 to early 1930 by a few specific features(as pictured) still says"Constantinople" instead of"Istanbul" changed in 1930) says"Peking" instead of"Peiping" changed in 1928) says"Yugoslavia" changed in 1929) These features are actually quite unique characteristics because they would have only existed in combination for this year model. Kittinger Furniture Buffalo" and the"646" See Photo#10& 11) This table is in very good solid shape with no major chips or gouges, however, it does need to be refinished because there are many surface scratches and little tiny white rings on the top.
