Exquisite 19th Century Wrought Single Size Iron French Campaign Bed. Has lovely floral detailing and scroll work. Folds flat for storage. Slightly narrower and longer than an American twin size. I can include mattress if necessary. Would be lovely in a child's room. No other manufacturer name. Very, very old, dating to late 1800s or early 1900s. Normal surface wear. It seems that it is the original paint job because the screws and square nuts are all the same color and don't appear to be painted over. That is, it looks like they can be unscrewed. I am unable to find any words or markings on the bed. I don't know it's origin. My sister bought it at a yard sale and it's been in my house, untouched, for years. Over 145,000 pioneers came across the Oregon trail to Portland, OR from 1844 to 1906 with their belongings across the country. This item did not have such a rough trip as it made it to Portland via sailing ship to Astoria then by paddlewheel to Portland. It was purchased for $1,250 in the 1980's from the Antique shop(listed on the bed sticker) that specialized in European Antiques and it was identified as being from France, circa 1825. Vintage China& Brass JELLYMOULD Victorian Bed Knob An unusual Victorian China& Brass JELLYMOULD BED KNOB. It is very ornate and has diamond patent marks on both the china and brass parts. It measures two-and-five-eighths inches high. And one-and-seven-eighths inches in diameter. China part has crazing to glaze and some minor chips at base where brass is clipped over. But otherwise looks very good. Brass part has some age cracking at'neck' but is still strong enough to use. Hole is about 3/8" diameter but thread looks worn. Much of the original lacquer remains and it has not been repolished. Thread could be repaired by soldering a thick washer to base and recutting thread, or filling with epoxy resin. Antique Brass and Iron Bed - Single (old size) - Original - Not a Reproduction
This bed is 42" wide X 73 1/2" Today's singles are 39" X 75" The headboard is 46" tall. The footboard is 31 3/4" tall. It does not have casters. The ball finials are approx. 2" in diameter This beauty has a solid presence. You can see it's history in the layers of paint. It's currently ivory colored with some chipping of the paint. It once was the same green as the rails. We didn't shine the brass since there is a warm patina on the heavy brass balls. It has a brass rail at the top across the headboard and footboard. The footboard rail has a narrow split that runs approx. 5" across the top& then continues down the side and underneath. But the rail is still very solid! The iron has some fancy detailing and turning before it reaches the brass railings. On the headboard- on either side ... moreof the upright iron posts there is a small hole on either side. Approx. 36 2/4" up. I don't know what these were meant for. But they're original to the bed. A local welder can stretch the rails(add angle iron in the middle of each) and the use of built up wood slats across the rails would accommodate a single or possibly even a full double with 6" overhang on either side.

Up for auction is a whimsical. Unique, and adorable bobble head duck pencil holder? Planter? There is no readable maker’s mark on the item. The duck has yellow coloring with a black tail and is wearing a red plaid golfers cap with a bow tie. Orange webbed feet and beak. His wings are pink and blue. On the back of the duck is an open area where pencils or other small items could be stored. The head is attached to the body by fitting into an old iron bed spring. Which is lightly rusted. He is hand painted. There is a slight chip that is barely noticeable on the underside of the ducks head. There are a couple of very slight hairline cracks on the inside of his head. There is some crazing in the glaze. Which you would expect to see in a piece with this age. Small amount of paint loss on his hat. Lastly, he could use a bath. No other issues. Nice Wood & Wrought Iron King Size Sleigh Bed
Up for auction is a really nice used king size wood& wrought iron sleigh bed. Headboard and foot board does have some scuffs and scratches but both are very sturdy. One of the brackets to the side panels are missing but should be an easy fix. Please look at photos closely as they are a part of the description.
