I received the chest in the early-to-mid 70s and had it professionally refinished with a walnut stain in 1979. Some of the grain is slightly raised on the front(as seen in the picture) Several pictures were taken under different lighting conditions. There are a few very minor scratches. But overall it is in very good condition. IMPORTANT: As per the requirements of the Consumer Products Safety Commission. A new replacement lock has been obtained from The Lane Company and the original pushbutton removed. This item comes from a smoke-free. This auction is for a Lane Cedar Blanket Chest. Style 1991-70. Serial#265130. Measures 44" wide. 22" tall and 18" deep. Has a pullout bottom drawer. No lock on this chest. There is some damage to the wood just to the left of the pullout drawer and a few surface scratches on the lid. The pullout drawer is dirty and could use cleaning or can be redone.
