Great shape dresser with both dovetailed front and back of drawers.Serpentine front, Claw feet and wooden casters. There is a small character flaw on bottom drawer that I think was a burn mark but not sure. Has nice cubby with Ornate carved door that has curved shape. The wooden back and top also are both in excellent shape! Is old and may have some scratches and flaws but overall is very nice and was refinished well. Casters all work good and easy! We have gone over this piece extensively, and so have many other professionals in the appraisal business, and they are confident it is an original built sometime between 1790- 1840 most likely in Connecticut. Local appraised value of this piece is $15K-$25K. It is a very ornate, all hand carved, which is uncommon for these types of highboys. Antique Mahogany Chippendale Highboy circa 1790 RARE!!
This is an 8 ft tall circa 1790's Chippendale mahogany highboy that we have had in the family since the early 60's. My parents paid over 4000 for it then and had it appraised for over 8000 a few years later. It has a webbed bonnet with urn finials. Fluted columns along the side to the ball and claw feet. The center drawer is carved shell design. This is a real nice and massive piece. It has dovetailed drawers that are all period. The down side seems to be new drawer oulls. Hand-twisted pewter pulls are backed with specially added wood quatrefoils on the lower drawers, and painted to resemble pewter as well. Antique Doll Dresser Hutch Highboy Whitewash Original 13.75" 2 Drawer Mirror
This is a little doll dresser that I would guess is 1920's- 1930's. I've seen these stencils on a number of pieces of whitewashed doll furniture. But I don't know if it was homemade from a pattern or manufactured. This piece is all wood including the drawers. You can see the minor dings to the finish in the pictures. I would leave the old mirror, but it's an easy fix if you prefer to replace it with a nicer one. The piece measures 13.75" x 9.5" x 4.75" deep.

AMERICAN HIGHBOY Vintage c.1930 BONNET TOP Chest of Drawers MAHOGANY Tallboy
A gorgeous American Highboy with removable Bonnet Top dating to circa 1930. We are pleased to present this exceptional American Highboy for your consideration. Loaded with quality touches. The Highboy dates to circa 1930, and is made from Mahogany, with Curly Maple used as a secondary wood in the interior. The Bonnet Top is easily removable if you prefer a cleaner look(see picture 6 for a view with the Top removed) Drawers feature dovetails both at the front and back, and each Drawer has a separator board, so it fits into its own compartment(another sign of the quality construction) Cabriolet legs with Claw and Ball feet support the unit. A compartment at bottom center has its original fabric liner and looks like it was designed to hold a hat. The Highboy measures 62-1/2 inches high. Exclusive of the Bonnet which has two dowels which hold ... moreit in place(add 11-1/2 inches for the height of the seated Bonnet) The width is 40 inches with depth 23 inches, measured at the widest point which is at the feet. The unit is not too difficult for two people to move, if the drawers are removed first. We estimate the total weight at around 175 pounds(with drawers in place) Locks are mounted in several Drawers. But no key came with the unit. We may be able to find a key that fits, so please inquire as to availability if you need one. Wear on the Highboy is quite minimal for its age. The finish would benefit from a light application of Orange Oil to remove dust. But is quite nice as-is. There are no areas of damage, mold, or other issues, and we rate the overall condition as very good to excellent. All pictures show the actual piece you will receive.
