Hammer marks abound throughout the sturdy construction(weight, approximately 65 lbs. Unsigned. Circa 1925. Two of the leaves among those constituting the surround to the naturalistic rose at the top of the elliptical element below the mirror have recently been repaired. That is, the iron element representing a plant stem(approximately 1/8" diameter) with the leaves attached to it, was cleanly broken at its original weld point(i.e. basally) some years ago, and is now expertly repaired(re-welded, by a professional ironworker) The piece is 4" long, and both it and its point of attachment on the larger whole are without loss. This re-weld matches the others on the piece as regards size, shape and color. The hat hook on the far left and that on the far right are slightly loose. That is, they swivel on the rods that attach them to the frame. The mirror, held by four metal tabs on the back(one on each side) is not original; a small piece(approximately 1/2" square) of glass is missing in the upper right corner, though the mirror is covered around its edges by the wrought iron, and the missing piece is scarcely noticeable. This beautiful piece was made in England around 1950 and is made from oak. There is a beveled oval mirror in the center. On either side of the seat are umbrella or stick holders with tin trays at the bottom. The hall tree has four standard solid brass hooks. Giving the hall tree a very Jacobean look are some small geometric wood decorations throughout. The seat lifts up to reveal a small storage space below. This hall tree is in very good condition with only very minor wear which you would expect from a piece of this age. It will make a functional and beautiful addition to any discerning home! But i am not sure, could be the ... moreearly 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern above the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. Estate find. Nice antique dual post wooden coat tree/coat rack. Stands 79" high and is 13 5/8" wide. Two of the hooks look original. Another is original but broke and the 4th should just go. Very nice patina on wood but the former owner thought they were handy and did a poor job trying to steady the bottom of one of the posts. The rack is still steady. For your consideration is this Very Nice Antique Oak Entry Hall Tree. I have been told it dates back to the late 1800s. But i am not sure, could be the early 1900s?There are no markings on it that i can see. The Hall Tree is in excellent condition, is very solid, and has a nice aged Patina look. It is about 82-3/4" tall, 24 to 26" wide(at different levels) and 15" deep. The Beveled Mirror is about 17 1/4" wide and 35" high and in very good condition for its age. There are 6 Coat, Cap Hooks, the two on top are Butterfly Hooks( unusual& rare) see picture 5, I have never seen these before or after we got this one) I don't know if they were on the Hall Tree from day one or if someone added them later, they are old and they compliment the attractive decorative carvings on top, plus they do match the cutout pattern ... moreabove the seat perfectly.see picture 3) The Bench Seat has storage space under the lid. Offered is a vintage walnut hall tree with an oval mirror and single drawer stand. This piece has a wonderful rich tone to its wood and. With its small footprint, it can make an impressive statement in a very small space. The hall tree is 7 feet tall. It's 29" wide at the top. At the mirror, and only 19" wide at the base, and 15 1/4" deep. Overall. The hall tree is in beautiful condition. However, there are a few things that require mention: There are very small recessed nails along the sides of the surface above the drawer; they can easily be filled(see photos) There is wear to the base on the outer corners(see photo) The back of the knob on the drawer front is chipped(see photo) There are some fine scratches on the glass surface of the mirror. Very unique umbrella stand/ hat rack. Purchased from an estate sale- the only thing I know is the estate belonged to a WWII War Bride from France. Most of her furniture was from France and Germany. This particular piece does not have a makers mark. But it is obviously very old. It does have wear, a couple of small cracks and is slightly loose. The bottom is iron and the removable tray is also handmade. I tried to show this in one of the pictures- you can see where the bottom edges have been folded over when it was made. Old Mission Style Hall Tree/ Coat Tree/ Umbrella Stand Oak Up for auction is a lovely old hall tree. The wood is oak. It has 2 umbrella holders. 6 hooks, one enclosed cabinet, and a shelf. I am not sure if the backboard(thinner) wood is oak. The dimensions are: 70" tall 27" wide 11" deep 7" wide umbrella opening. 6" wide at the bottom. The oak framework pieces for the umbrella section are 1 1/4" wide on top, and 2 1/4" wide at the bottom. The short shelf is 11" long x 3" deep Enclosed cabinet is 25" tall x 10" wide x 10" deep Small head nails used throughout. Please note: I do not think that the hooks are original to the piece. And multiple holes have been drilled over the years. The diamond shaped area was for a mirror, but I do not have the mirror. There are 8 original holes to ... morehold the mirror. There are 5 additional holes drilled into the backboard area that are not original. The enclosed cabinet has one shelf but only has only one support piece so the shelf is not installed. Some wear and tear on the bottom of the legs. At the curved top of the unit(a separate piece) that is held in by a groove, there is a bit of damage to the wood. Only a few deep scratches. On the back of the unit. The letters M A W are written. I cannot find a manufacturers stamp. Please see photos for condition. I have described it best I can. And the unit is being sold as is. This dollhouse miniature artisan fretwork hall tree/chair would make a lovely addition to anyone's dollhouse. It is 1:12 scale. And comes from a non-smoking home. This is truly an exquisite piece. It has a little round mirror in the back of the chair, and comes with a couple of accessories-a little purse(a wine skin bag) and a parasol. There is also a partial wicker back(very pretty! The miniature measures approximately 2 1/2 inches wide, 6 1/4 inches tall, and 1 1/2 inches deep. There appears to be glue on one armrest and the seat, and a dab of glue where the umbrella was attached to the chair. I'll leave it to the buyer to remove. Turn Of The Century Mission Style Oak/Chestnut Wood? Coat Rack(SEE ALL 12-PHOTOS) Nice overall condition with no structural issues. A nicely age appearance with no cracks. Chips or gouges. NOTE: One of the steel hooks looks to have been replaced at some point in the past(SEE PHOTOS#7 and#8) The hook is exactly the same as the other three. But the"ware/patina" is not at the point of the other hooks. Other than that, there's just your typical 100 years of"general ware" I can not tell for certain what wood is used. I believe it's either oak or chestnut. Measures 70" tall overall. The post is 2-1/2" x 2-1/4" and the base(leg width) measures 23-1/2" across. The steel hooks measure 6" long and stick out 3-5/8 inches. Unit weight: 14 lbs. 5 ozs.
