A beautiful dark solid wood(I think it is Walnut but I'm not sure) table with five legs. Hand turned legs. It is a farm table that opens up with four leaves. It is untouched and in its original state. Americana. Ring mark on it that adds to its beauty. The legs are carved pillars. Very sturdy. It makes a great accent piece and is functional to open. Antique Farm Made New Hampshire Tilt-Top Table Lamp Stand N.H. Village Scene
Description: Here is a gorgeous piece made in the 1950s on a farm here in New Hampshire. The woman said her dad had made it for her mom for Christmas in the mid 50s. It mixes two styles that are still very popular in this area. It has the form of a Victorian plant stand with its four splayed legs and smaller lower shelf as well as the pie-crust edge to the tabletop. The legs have that modern profile to them that became popular in the late 40s to early 50s. Then the maker turned it into a tilt-top table with a through dowel hinge and the catch from an old kitchen cupboard. When you tilt the top up it shows a nicely decoupaged scene of a quaint New England Village. She told me that he used a print from a calendar for the picture. The top tipped up allows the stand to be stored closer to the side wall of a room. It is in great shape with a wonderful ... moreperiod patina and style as you can tell from my pictures. Vintage Wooden Drop Leaf Farm Table with fold-in middle leaf
I'm not sure what kind of wood this table is made of. It has a few minor finish problems that can most likely be covered up with some of the polishes on the market today. The legs are sturdy and solid. The hinges work perfectly. The table is 42" deep and with the leaves open 58" across. With the leaves down 28" It stands 28" high. There is a fold-in leaf that is warped and needs work. It's a darker color than the rest of the table because of it being not used and also has the bottom layer coming loose which would need to be glued. It adds 12" when used.Do not bid on this table unless you can pick it up in Tiffin. OH.

It is made mainly out of pine except for the legs which are oak. This table is constructed the old fashioned way with mortise and tenon joints and pegs to hold them in place. Of course this table is rustic and there are small nicks. Minor discolorations, and scratches. In addition the top boards have separated in some spots and there are two small brackets on the underside keeping them from separating even more.
