I had looked for that one-of-a-kind antique farm table and could never find the table that was so different or so unique that would bring a smile to my face every time I would see or use it. Then on one Saturday morning I found it. An antiques collector. Who owned the table for years, had sold their home and was moving out of state, and offered to sell the table. I immediately bought it and have loved owning it ever since. Now. I will be moving across country(and living part of the year overseas) and have decided this beautifully rare 18 th century farm table from France is ready for its new home and owners who will get so much joy having it. Here are the details about the table that I have been told… Ø Made in the 18 th Century ... morein France. Ø The previous owner antique collector told me they believe it is from the early-to-mid 1700s. Ø The top of the table can be removed(please see wood dowels in the photos) Ø One of the unique features and characteristics of this 18 th century French farm table is that the legs and sides are also joined together with hand-carved wooden pegs. Ø I asked the antique collector about this and they told me it was reminiscent of a style of table in that period known as an“Officer’s Table” that could be taken apart and easily put back together in the field or wherever the table was needed. I have not. And the previous antique collector owner told me they have not, ever removed the hand-carved wood pegs. This is a truly rare find. It appears to be hand made with original light green paint and has 37 separate cubbies with one long one running the length of the table. It measures 8 feet long. 33 inches high and 37 3/4 inches wide. The bottom shelf I believe was added at a later date, but still very old. I have cleaned the table as it was extremely dirty and I did have to cut 3 of the legs about an inch to level it. Nothing else has been done to it. Beautiful Antique Drop Leaf Expandable Kitchen or Dining Table. Solid Oak. Early American farm table. This is an amazing table built for any size room. It is a drop leaf table. Can be a table for two with leaves down. With leaves extended it sits four comfortably. I dont have extension leaves. But the middle opens to accept leaves and accommodate a large dinner party. It has a fifth leg as pictured in the center to administer weight evenly when leaves are inserted. The measurements when leaves are down is 41 1/2" W x 25" L x 30 1/2" T. With the drop leaves extended it is 41 1/2" W x 52 1/2" L. It has minimal wear to finish from practical use, it looks as though it has been refinished. The hinges are not original to the piece, but function perfectly. The casters seem to be original on the legs. There are two latches ... moreunderneath to keep both sides closed. It has marks, mars in wood from previous use that add to its character. It is a very solid piece.

Great set of very old farm table legs! The dimensions are 28 3/4 in. length and the square section at the top is 2 1/4 in. The black finish is most likely well aged shellac and is easy to remove. The patina of the wood is very nice! These legs would be an attractive addition to a farm table. Minor checking as expected for antique legs(refer to photos)

This is a very nice old pine table made in France. There are two leafs that come up to make a larger table. This would be fine as a kitchen table or a console table. The legs are painted in a light blue and the top is a natural pine with a wax finish. The condition is Ok but as you can see it has been well used. Antique Pine 1800's Primitive Farm Table with Drop Sides and Drawer
This antique pine farm table measures 76" long. 47 1/2" wide(31 1/2" wide with sides down) 29 1/2" tall from floor to table top, 22 1/4" distance from floor to bottom of apron. It is strong. Sturdy, solidly constructed with a rustic knotty top, time worn dings, scratches and age gaps appropriate to its age. It has turned legs and wood slides in the base to hold the sides in place when they are extended. The top and base have been'married' You will often find old farm tables where the pieces have been married together. The bases had to be replaced because the legs were placed in sugar water to prevent ants from coming on to the table. Thus causing the legs to deteriorate. This is a telltale sign that the table is truly old and authentic. There is a drawer for silverware that is accessible when the sides are ... moreraised. This is a unique and interesting table with lots of character-it has the original finish which has worn over the years and can be left in its original state or refinished if desired. Auction is for 10 Anthropologie chairs purchased from shop at $280 a piece and had some reupholstered and left some in the original canvas upholstery. In my opinion these would all look better all reupholstered in same fabric. Very easy to do as it just the chair seat section. The table measures 39" across and 100" long and we are throwing it in as a freebie as it needs to be tightened since it wobbles a little. It is shabby wood on top as well. But we loved the look. Made from Pink and Multi-colored Cotton blend fabric with Embroidered Farm Animals, and hearts in a Quilt like manner. Such a cute piece for any occasion as well as St. Valentines Day. Pink Gingham fabric makes up the back of the piece. Woody Blue is the designer of this cute piece. Let us know if you need more information or additional photos. The only defect of imperfection would/could be for some is the Dark Magenta fabric strip on the top of the piece has some white spots, not sure if this was part of the pattern or a defect in the print of the fabric. French Provincial Elm Farm Table, 18th century
French Provincial Elm Farm Table. Late 18th century, with a soft warm patina, three board top over a skirt with one drawer retaining its original iron ring pull, dovetailed construction, resting on square chamfered legs connected by an H-stretcher. Mortise and tenon construction. The skirt is high enough to accommodate two sitters on either side in the middle and the long overhang at either end seats a total of six comfortably. On one end an iron bar has been added on the underside to stabilize the top. As pictured. Two of the legs have some worm damage on the bottom-as pictured- but both are still structurally sound. Measures 75" long x 30"w x 29"h. Measures 22 1/2" h to the bottom of the skirt with an overhang of 17 1/2" at either end.
