In my research I found several sample images of this exact chair. This is being sold as found condition, I have not polished, repaired or cleaned anything on this chair. It is solid wood, upholstered in this green soft material. It is clean with a few signs of aging. It measures 50.5" tall x 26" wide x 28" in deep. It is in overall good condition with a few scuff marks on the wood but nothing too bad. Local pickup only unless you would like to arrange shipping. For your consideration is this rather hard to find Danish Modern chair attributed to Svend Skipper in the style of Wegner's Papa Bear Chair. This is a vintage period chair. It is not a recent knock off or reproduction. The upholstery is a beautiful dark blue with teak woodwork that shows very nicely after oiling. It measures 40" high. 34" at its widest point and@ 36" deep, the seat is 16" above the floor. Looking at the photographs, I think the last photo is best representative of the true color. Very nice fibers and the chair is beeautiful. Shock mounts are the large ones and are firmly attached. From measuring the seat height of 14-14.5" This is the lower height. The medium height was 16 inches and my guess the higher one was 18 inches. On its underside this chair the original red label(see picture) retains its early red and black colors. Charles and Ray Eames Brazilian Rosewood Lounge Chair Ottoman Vintage Vitra
The Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman rank as one of the most recognizable furniture designs of all time. This design by Charles and Ray Eames and their multi-talented staff was introduced by Herman Miller in 1956 and graces residences around the world. The first one was for friend and film director Billy Wilder. Who lost it in a fire many years later. The second one was in the Eames House in Pacific Palisades house until recently, but is now in storage awaiting restoration. A very recent example now sits in the living area. In 1958 Vitra acquired the production and distribution rights to the Eames furniture lines for Europe and the Middle East. This Vitra chair and ottoman was acquired by the original owners who were living and working in Switzerland in 1972. And kept in their home for nearly 40 years. I have owned this for the past three years ... moreand it has only been sat on a half dozen times since my acquisition. The shock mounts between the armrest and lower back seat panel have been replaced, as many of these chairs have needed this repair. The refined combination of Brazilian Rosewood and black leather is still impressive 57 years later after its initial introduction. The rosewood and leather are in remarkable condition and the pieces exemplify fine design and luxury. this auction is for one eames chair of the pair pictured. they are pretty much identical but his auction is for the chair on the left. the other chair will be listed in the future. this is a very early eames dkr chair. it has the original bikini pads with the W.Washington.Venice, Calif. address. the pad also indicates that it is filled with"oily cattle hair" this is the earliest filling used in these chairs. the chair is rock solid and looks good all over. the chairs also have the burlap back fabric which is also rare and early. the burlap does have some wear on the upper back area. it is cosmetic and minor as pictured. all welds are strong and original. i do have other eames chairs from an eames collector in my auctions at this time. easy international shipping by usps. thanks for looking.

A fabulous mid century chair! Thonet style made in Southern Indiana hardwood country many years back! This bentwood chair is about 32" tall and has a seat height of about 17.5" The seat is about 16" deep and 17.75" wide. The chair is about 24" deep front to back. In good used condition with patina. Some knicks, signs of age and use to the wood. The seat has a place where the wood looks to have opened a little at a seam, see my last photo. The shape is an art from in itself. The March 1946 issue features a green cover specially designed by LE CORBUSIER and his vision on the post-war reconstruction of Paris. As well as an article outlining Le Corbusier's vision. These issues were published after World War II. A large issue, totaling 212 pages. The November 1948 issue features a black cover of the KNOLL showroom and focuses on designs for theaters. Free of cracks, with the iconic Zenith Herman Miller Eames checkerboard label still intact. Translucent and stunning. The rope along the edge is still intact and very clear. Beautiful sheen on the surface. Gorgeous fibrous armshell. We believe this color is lemon yellow. As it has a more yellow tint than our parchment rope edge chairs but with a similar transulucency. Seattle Space Needle Revolving Chair by Gideon Kramer. American 1962 Created for the observation deck of the Space Needle at the Seattle Worlds Fair of 1962. This unique design allowed visitors to"orbit" the base perimeter and view various sites of the fair. The chair actually functions with two 360 degree rotations. The seat will extend to its farthest position and do a wide rotation, and spin a tight rotation from the center. Very few were ever produced, and are quite rare today, although he produced a fixed base version, which were sold as office chairs in the 1960's. Ours has not been restored, including the metal parts, original carpeting on the base, and original seat and arms.
