Please review the pictures and description thuroughly as this chair is being sold in its as-found condition. CONDITION: Overall the chair is in outstanding condition and the pictures tell the story best.there is evidence of very minimal use but otherwise it is completely intact and brilliant condition. The finish is clean and vibrant with a uniform symetrical Ash wood grain pattern. There are a few faint areas of veneer fill that appear as part of the original manufacture process. All original rubber shockmounts show slight signs of aging but are solid and firm with no reglueing/repair evident. All hardware is original. Unmolested and intact. The HM/Charles Eames designed embossed aluminum label is still present and fully legible. DIMENSIONS: This iconic chair measures 27" tall to the top of the backrest X 22" in width X 16" seat height. Vintage. Mid-Century Modern, Bentwood Chair. There is no label or maker's mark but it looks like a Thonet bent plywood chair from the Eames Era of the 1950s. The finish is a medium, to medium-dark brown. 30 1/2" tall, 18" deep, 18 1/2" wide and weighs 16 pounds. Condition: Normal wear for this vintage. Two small nicks on the edge of the seat. Some small scuffs a round the edges. Wear to the finish on the back rest. Several scuffs around the base of the legs. Sturdy and comfortable. Overall, good to very good condition. Your bid is for this fantastic Mid Century Modern Fiberglass Arm Chair on a Swivel Propeller Style Base. It is a butterscotch/ochre color with an upholstered seat bottom in a similar tweed pattern color. It measures approximately 30.5" to the top. With a seat height of 17.5" is 25" across the front arms, 21.5" inside and is 22" deep. It is in very good cosmetic and working condition for its age, with only a couple of small blemishes to the shell shown in close-ups. The swivel base is sturdy and the chrome is good except for one small 1/4" rust spot, also shown in a close-up. Not sure who the maker is and I cannot find any definitive marking that would identify the manufacturer. There is an ink stamped number 12899 under a piece of tape on the bottom of the shell, which might help in attribution. It is of very ... moregood quality and rivals anything on the eBay. This is a molded textured slightly flexible plastic chair with square"chrome" legs. I have owned this chair for years. It was originally purchased from a storage unit and on that day I could not believe my good fortune, as I truly love mid century modern furniture. The chair is painted, probably acrylic and sealed with a thin sateen protective coat. It depicts a VW bug as seen from the front. The chair has wonderful original patina in colors of brassy gold. There is a dark stain on the seat, this is exactly how I purchased it so many years ago The"chrome" legs are shiny but do have pitting and marks. There are 3 white plastic"plugs" missing on the underside of the legs, 3 are still intact. Again, this is how the chair was found and does not detract from the look. The chair is signed by the artist" Lisa Coale" on the underside in what appears to be permanent black marker. This wonderful mid century modern chair measures 30" tall at the back. The seat height is 17 3/4" and is 17" wide X 14 1/2" deep. This is a Arne Jacobsen style desk and seven chair. The desk is in excellent vintage condition. It is finished on the back. It has classic Danish long peg legs. The Formica top has a nice boat shape rather than traditional rectangle. It is apartment or student size. This is part of a series of painted furniture that I do with my soon to be 86 year old Dad. He enjoys keeping busy and feeling useful. I do procurement and creative design and he runs the shop. Very clean set of 7 Charles Eames Fiberglass Side Chair Shells for Herman Miller in a vibrant bright orange. Beautiful examples of mid-century modern design at it's finest. These were recently unearthed from a boarding school where they were attached to a metal row. Which is why I don't have the bases. Original rubber mounts are in place though, so these will work with the base of your choice. The shells are in very good condition considering the age, with only minor scuffs and wear on a few of the chairs. One out of the seven does have a crack in the seat where the post was attached. Free shipping with buy it now in the continental U.S. You are bidding on an authentic Le Corbusier LC2. Two seat sofa and chair. These are authentic Cassina pieces. They were a special order for an architecture firm. They have real sage green suede on them. This is not the cheap ultra suede. This is real leather. Overall they are in great shape. Frames are solid. Both pieces are engraved under the left arm with Corbusier's signature and serial number. Also under the seat the black decking is embossed with the Cassina logo(see pic) The only thing I noticed on them was two faint pen marks on the chair. You don't notice them unless you get real close! I researched how to clean real suede online and it said don't use any chemicals at all. It suggested sanding them lightly with sandpaper. I will leave that up to the new owner should ... morethey decide to do it. But like I said it is very faint and not really noticeable. Eames DAX Zenith 2nd Gen Fiberglass Shell Chair Herman Miller
Please note that you're bidding on two Shells only. A great restoration project for a pair of these historic chairs. These chairs were designed by Charles Eames and manufactured by the Herman Miller Furniture Company and Zenith Plastic Co. in Venice California in the 1950's. When held under the light. The shells appears to glow. The shells have the large shock mounts, but the rope edge was no longer in production. Condition: The shells have no chipping and great fibers and all the sock-mounts still soft and stable. I will try my best to describe each flaws. Chair 1: This chair have what appears to be a crack forming at the bottom. Near one of the shock mounts. However, it was either repaired or have not fully cracked because the structure still holds and sturdy. Aside from that there are no other cracks or chipping.
