This is a really cool vintage patio chaise. Unsure of the maker, but it is in good working condition, swivels, rocks, and tilts perfectly. It includes the original pad that is in good to fair condition but is missing what appears to have been a snap on pillow. Herman Miller Charles Eames Brazilian Rosewood Lounge Chair and Ottoman
This is one of two Eames chairs I'm selling. Both are from the early 70s. This one has the ottoman and is made with Brazilian Rosewood. They are in very good used condition. Never had children playing on them. Mostly sat in my sister's living room and were not used very often. As stated in description. She did have cats(we do as well) Brazilian Rosewood is no longer available as it's way too expensive and was stopped in the 1980s. The other chair I'm selling has cherry wood on the back. This vintage Douglas Eaton atomic hairpin chair is in very nice original condition complete with original tag. The color can best be described as a gold-like green-you decide-see pics. These early Zenith Salmon colored shells typically are faded to the point of being pale flesh pink due to the unstable nature of the Red Pigments used in the fiberglass molding combined with 60+ years of UV exposure. This fine specimen still retains a vivid amount of"salmon" vibrancy to the pigment and has an even tone to front, sides and back.obviously it was used very little and well protected from the elements of aging. The low Zinc X base is equally as clean and problem free with all 4 glides intact. This base sits much lower than the typical desk chair bases- slightly lower than a Rocker or LCW chair. These mid-century modern furniture and art examples were collected by my father in the early 1960s, during that“sweet spot” in his life when he had work that paid well— and no children. This is a perfectly lovely mid-century modern sculptural walnut and naugahyde lounge chair and matching ottoman. Amazingly nearly as it was when purchased in the 1960s— no rips or tears, and only minor scuffs and one crack on the wood. With much research we’ve finally been able to discover where this chair came from: Foster-McDavid. Who were making solid walnut ... morefurniture in Tampa until 1972 and selling mostly through interior designers and specialty stores. It seems Robert Foster Sr. was the designer and“Mac” McDavid led work in the factory; their designs were remarkable, and well-executed. My father purchased this set from south Seattle's"Foster's Unusual Furniture" no relation. Circa 1950's Vanity and bench 100% Maple- no veneer. Made from solid wood Vanity approx. 42.5" wide and 28.5" tall Bench 25.5" wide by 25.5" tall approx. This was worthy of a professional restoration by Ed Hillenbrand Furnituremaker in Charleston. WV. This is a very very nice piece of furniture to own. No short cuts. The piece was taken down and finished with real lacquers(not the cheap finishes found at regular hardware stores) A vinyl sealer was used under the lacquer meaning spills will not effect the wood on this great dresser. It is lovely curved and sculpted maple with the original bench that went with it. It slides beneath easily or can be kept out. These vanities are hard to come by but really are only worth getting if you get it in great condition as the restoration process or a refinish process takes many ... moredays- quick fixes just will not last and you do not get the blemish free look unless it is done properly. Chair is in excellent vintage condition.Beautiful! Beautiful Brazilian rosewood. no longer in production. Tags have been removed but you can still see where they where. One side arm rest shock mount needs to be replaced and two top cushion clips need to be replaced. Original upholstery has been replaced by quality white vinyl and white zippers. Weather or not the original cushion material was replaced with new is unknown but it does not appear to have any down feathers. Indicating that it was made by the Evans company and distributed by Herman Miller while they were in Michigan. The chair is in very good shape- some normal wear and tear- small scratches and scrapes(mostly on the sides of the seat) see pictures. The 4 feet are there and appear to be original. The rubber mounts are there. And while they are completely together, seem a little dry- I don't know if I would trust anyone to sit on this without replacing them(parts are available on ebay) This is a very nice example of a classic and rare original chair! Shell has no cracks or chips, mounted on zinc Eiffel base with birch runners. Shell has just the slightest patina giving it a rich slightly off-white color. We have 1 of this Verner Panton S-chair model 275. The chair was originally sold unupholstered. That was added later. Because of that we cannot see the mfg tags however our expert we consult on vintage chairs does believe this chair is an authentic Thonet. Its in very good used condition. There is a snag in the fabric on the bottom of the back of the chair, a photo is attached. The S-chair(model 275) was designed in 1956 by Verner Panton and manufactured from 1965 by Thonet. Fabricius Kastholm Grasshopper Chair mid-century modern Danish Eames Panton era
A very very rare vintage chaise lounge designed by Fabricius and Kastholm for Kill International in 1968 in Denmark This chair is from an amazing William Cody designed estate in the Palm Springs area and is all original. The chrome plated frame is in excellent condition as is the canvas sling that holds the cushions and the wrapped leather arms. The two leather cushions have very soft supple leather with no cracking or rips or holes or smells BUT the leather is extremely faded. It was originally a dark navy but has faded all over to a kind of grey/ blue. It looks kind of cool with this faded uneven patina on it but since the leather is in such great shape it would also be very easy to have re dyed in the color of your choice. I have a couple of local places in the LA area I can even suggest for you. The head rest is also faded and due to ... moreuse. It has an area of about 6 inches square that has become dried out and cracked and has a one inch hole in the center as well( see pics) This small head rest could be repaired or recovered as well. Vintage Eames Era Metal High Back Lounge Chair Patio
Vintage Eames Era Metal patio chair. Very sturdy. With a little rust starting but very early stages. Base is bent a little but does not effect functionality of chair and could be bent back into shape with asome heat involved. This looks like a Harry Bertoia design but I cant be sure. Chair is old the person I got it from said they have had it over 35 years and she got it from a friend who had it before that. This item is large and does not come apart. I would prefer local pickup or would be willing to meet within 200 miles of Toledo Ohio for a prediscussed fee.
