It is in beautiful condition. It is a nice brown with a slight red tint on the solid mahogany. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was of European decent. It has a metal hand forged wingnut on the base and the stand will actually come apart. The top is a lazy susan. It has the plate rail end on the top and middle shelf. It has duncan phyfe solid mahogany legs that terminate in a brass cap foot. This is definitely a period table. The overall size is 22 inches round on the top shelf, 25 inches round on the bottom shelf, 37 inches high to the top shelf and 21 inches high on the bottom shelf. It is a great stand at a reasonable piece. It is a good honest period piece.

This dining set has not been refinished and is original except for the re-covering of the chairs. Chair dimensions are 34 1/2" in height 19 1/2" at the widest point and 16 1/2" inches deep. Tables is 71 1/2" long including the 12" leaf and 40" wide Pedestals are 29" high and both have the original claw brass claw feet. This true attributable piece has the trademark styliziation of Duncan Phyfe's work within its Regency influence and carvings. It has a 30" top and stands 27 1/2" tall. Please excuse the leaning to one side in the pictures. They were taken by our newest employee who is just learning this process. We received this table with a restoration to one of its legs. Additionally. And we see this all too much, the top was dropped down too hard too many times and its loosened out the fastening screws of the tilter arms. A crude attempt to repair it was done and it ... morecut small holes in the top. We were torn between taking the top down and refinishing it but when things are close we simply hate to disturb a period finish. Its perfectly livable the way it comes right now. Duncan Phyfe traditionally worked in rich mahogany and cherry wood and this appears to be mahogany- with detailed hand carving. Supported on detailed clawed feet with brass tips. Country French or Duncan Phyfe era? Carved Grapes or Harvest Back Hardwood Dining Chairs 1 w/arms. 2 armless. I am uncertain of the actual style of these chairs, so please correct me. Quality Hardwood Dining Room or Game Chairs with factory Tongue and Grove corner supports. These were grandma's. Purchased around the 1940's I believe. She always said they were made of Mahogany. But to me it appears they were constructed of a stronger hardwood. Not to confuse anyone. But I believe in past eras"Mahogany" was used to refer to several unspecified hardwoods. Never refinished. They were recovered in the early 70's. So you'll probably want to replace the seat upholstery too. If you are learning to refinish furniture these are a great start. As they are in fair condition to begin with. Just waiting for your creative touch ... moreto refinish to match your existing decor. Although all of the chairs can be used as-is, it would be best to at the very least do some minor joint clamping and regluing, as they are beginning to wobble. No cracks or splits in the actual wood. There are some great YouTube videos that will show you exactly how to make these into a beautiful and valuable addition to your household. I tried to document these chairs well in the photos. Drop-leaf Duncan Phyfe table + 6 rose back chairs. I do not know whether it's an authentic Duncan Phyfe or just Duncan Phyfe style table. I have read that very few of his tables were marked and it's nearly impossible to tell. The antique dealer that we purchased the table from felt the quality and craftsmanship were consistent with Duncan Phyfe. It is very sturdy for a drop-leaf table. Table has 3 leaves& complete set of felt pads. The felt pads are in great condition. Table is 40 inches wide and extends to 94.5 inches long. The table is in original form& as not been refinished. There are some scratches on top but it still looks fabulous. Chairs all recently upholstered. 2 chairs have a slightly different rose pattern- see picture. Leather Duncan Phyfe sofa
This a a very comfortable sofa that sat in my Mother's living room and while it is used. It is great condition with the spring very strong and in tack. The leather is in great condition on the inside and outside back and the arms inside and outside as well. The bottom or seat has NO tears or rips, but a few light stains from where one of the grandchildren used to press his baby(milk) botton against it. I will try to get some close ups to add, but the light in my garagei is not strong enough for them to show up. This dining room set was my grandmothers. She purchased it in the mid 1940's before I was born. The furniture has been in storage since she passed away in 2004. My taste in furniture is more rustic so I have no use for this furniture and I'm sure she would want me to find someone who would love it as much as she did. The furniture was refinished in 2008 but due to being moved it has sustained a few scratched and nicks. Nothing that cannot easily be repaired. The table is 38" x 72" with the leaf. The leaf is 16" There are some small scratches and a nick on the chairs. The rose fabric was put on over the original green and beige striped fabric. The seat cushion fabric is easily and inexpensively changed. The china hutch is 38" wide and 69" tall it has a small bit of damage to the lower edge. We are pleased to offer this exceptional pair of antique nightstands or side tables. This pair dates to around 1940. They are made of mahogany and have been painted white and distressed. The pair are elegant and sleek with a low profile. They feature a two tier design with open backs. They have elongated lower sections with curved fronts. There have decorative square. Raised wood pieces on the skirt of the lower tier. These have been left in the original finish to contrast with the paint. The legs are lovely in Duncan Phyfe style. The center leg column has also been left in the original finish. The table has ornate brass touches as well. There are lion face"door knocker" style pulls on each side between the two tiers. Duncan Phyfe style antique drop-leaf dining table and 4 chairs set
For consideration is a solid mahogany antique drop-leaf dining room set in the Duncan Phyfe style. Has 2 pedestals and four chairs. The table has the original Watertown slide mechanism. And was made by Extensole out of Sparta, Michigan. Entirely original, including the brass claw cap feet on pedestals. There are two leaves for this table, making it a 77 inch by 40 inch at its largest(w/the leaves) and 24 x 40 when the leaves are out and sides are dropped. 53 inches with just the 2 sides up. I have easily had 8 place settings when the leaves are in. The four chairs are also solid mahogany. And the pads have a red and green herringbone fabric on them, but they could be popped out and updated with whatever fabric is more appealing to you. The table and chairs do have expected wear on them, but they are truly in good shape. This set was my grandparents' ... morewho purchased it in the late 1920's or early 30's. The table is accented with a rose and leaf"swag" on both the front and back side. The legs are beautifully curved with a large double finial detail in the center of the legs. The table is finished in a reddish brown stain. It is in very good condition with only very minor areas of wear/age. There are no deep scratches or blemishes. It is very sturdy and in very good structural condition. The marble top is gorgeous. It is white with black and gray veins that create beautiful patterns. It has a beveled edge. Duncan Phyfe style double pedestal dining table, 2 leaves, 6 upholstered chairs
Duncan Phyfe style. Double-pedestal, brass claw-footed, dining table with 2 self-storing leaves and 6 upholstered chairs. This set was most likely from the 1940's to 1950's. It was re-upholstered in the 1990's. A marking on the leaves indicates the wood is maple. There is some Tiger Oak on one of the chairs. The table is heavy and sturdy due to the self-storage mechanism for the leaves. It easily seats 4-6 without the leaves. And 6-8 with the leaves. One chair is a captain style with arms and the other 5 are armless. Upholstered in a floral. Leafy pattern in muted colors of green, blue, mauve. Table height is 30" and width is 42" Length without leaves is 62" and with both leaves is 94" Each leaf is 16" wide. Please see photos for details on the pedestal brass claw feet.
