This set is Duncan Phyfe style and has all the great characteristics of that style. This set contains 1 armchair and 5 side chairs. The chairs have traditional pierced pointed arch splats and ribbed crest rails. Stiles and lower rails. The front legs are straight with spade feet. The seat cushions have been freshly upholstered in a lovely sage green fabric. The table has a double pedestal with ribbed feet and brass caps. There is one leaf with this table. The tabletop finish is worn in places and the finish has faded to a lighter shade than the leaf. The table and chairs are very solid and sturdy and the overall condition is very good. I do not know the maker or exact date this set was made. This set is antique and will not be perfect. The table measures 30 3/8 inches tall, 40 inches side to side and 60 ¼ inches front to back without the leaf and 72 ¼ inches front to back with the leaf. It weighs 93 pounds. The leaf measures 7/8 inches thick, 40 inches side to side and 12 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 8 pounds. The armchair measures 35 ¼ inches tall, 23 3/16 inches side to side and 23 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 13 pounds. 5 Wooden Duncan Phyfe Table Leg Toe Cap
These came from Duncan Phyfe table that the original brass feet were chewed off by a dog. These replacement feet were made in the early 50"s by a cabinet maker in Olean N.Y.The last picture shows the grouping of 3(on the right) that are in great shape. The 2 on the left have some issues but are still presentable, they have minor dings, and one has a split crack in the front 1/2" long but you can't see it unless you apply slight pressue to the sides as to pull it apart(easily repaired with glue, the other has 2 cracks in the front and a horizontal crack between the two vertical ones, again you cant tell unless you try and pull, glue can resolve thast too.All and all not a bad set. Any shipping costs that turn out to be less than what Ebaycalculates will be refunded thru paypal. Anything over I will cover.

Table dates to 1940's. Table is mahogany and in good condition. There are five side chairs and one arm chair included. All are in good condition. There is one 12 inch table leaf. The buffet is mahogany but has some scratches on top which would require refinishing. Measurements are Table 64 inches long by 42 inches wide. Leaf adds another 12 inches to the length. Top features lovely mahogany veneers and solid legs. Buffet is 21 inches deep. 61 inches long, and 36 inches high. Has original door handles.

This is an estate fresh piece that came directly out of multigenerational Manhattan apartment that has been passed from family member to family member from just about the time of New York City defining itself in the early 19th Century. We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of antique(early 20th century) petite. French styled tables. These beautiful tables are mahogany and have a crackled and chipping, painted finish. The tables have tiered tops with turned wood supports. The tables have turned wood columns and Duncan Phyfe legs. The tops are in the original wood finish with no paint. The pair is quite lovely. They are in very good, antique condition. The tops have some evidence of use, i.e. water marks, and some scratches. These are not distracting and blend quite nicely with the character of the tables. One of the table tops shows the seam where the wood was connected. It is not cracked or loose, and the top is quite sturdy. The tops have a good coat of polyurethane. The tables are sturdy but they are OLD. They sit slightly uneven so there are a couple of feet that ... morehave soft felt floor protectors under them to rectify. For sale is a antique Duncan Phyfe Drop Leaf Table. It has 2 nice leaves that extends to a 8 foot table. Has the original Duncan Phyfe brass Claw feet covers. It is in very nice condition with only a few light scratches. I am not sure of the type of wood. Maybe Mahogany is my guess. Lots of nice wood carving on the legs. It fold down to a 2 foot table. This is a t from table from the early 1900's and in very good condition. It is old and has a few light scratches and I have not polished this dresser. Local pickup is welcome. Two(2) Lyre. Harp, Duncan Phyfe style accent, occasional, or end tables from approximately 1940's or 1950's. Tables are in good condition. Structurally sound, finish is in good condition with some surface scratching from years of use. Legs have brass colored tips that are tarnished and need a good cleaning. Antique 1940's Drexel Mahogany Dining Room Set New Travis Court Collection This set has been in my family since its original purchase around 1949. The style is referred to as Duncan Phyfe. Each of the sturdy chairs has a beautiful lyre back; there are 2 chairs with arms and 4 matching chairs without arms. Seat covers show some minor stains; seats may be easily reupholstered. The table is expandable with leaves. Table pads for the entire length of the table will be included if desired; pads have some staining but can be used under a tablecloth. Table leg supports are beautiful large wood lyres. The china cabinet has a wonderful curved glass door in the middle. The matching buffet has a serpentine front; lots of storage. This auction is for a 7 pc. Duncan Phyfe drop leaf dining set plus a corner china cabinet. Both the dining set and the corner cabinet are made of mahogany. The dining set includes the table. 6 chairs and 2 9" leaves. The dining set and corner cabinet were both purchased in 1948 and have had only one owner. The table is 57" L x 40" W x 29.5"H. The claw feet have brass covers on them. The chairs are 32"H x 15" W and the cushions are done in soft pastels. They were recovered in 2005. The corner china cabinet top with glass doors is 36"W with 3 wood shelves that are 15.25" D. The bottom portion is 38" W x 15.5" D. This fine set belonged to my maternal grandfather. The"Warfield" patent refers to the sliding mechanism which allows removal/addition of leaves. Patent date is 1937. Grampy bought the set in the Philadelphia. Pa.Camden, N.J. area where he worked. Upon his death in 1951 my mother and my Pop inherited it and Ma kept it until her death in 1988. She had all 5 chairs reupholstered a few years before her death. The table has been in my dining room since 1989. The set has had very little use as it is used for meals perhaps 5-6 times a year. Table has been covered at all times. A light application of canola oil has rendered the few surface scratches virtually invisible. Compare the 1st photo after the oil with photo# 2 taken before the oil. Dimensions- Table is 55" long with the four leaves. No 5th leaf but I do include the half-inch ... morepaddings which can be placed under a tablecloth. Two photos of the green topped pads are now posted. Some discoloration on center pad which is long dry and does not mar table surface. With two leaves down the table is 24.5" long. Width is 38" and height is 28" The four regular chairs are 36" high. legs are 16" long. The armchair is 37" high and the arms are 10" up from seat and are 15" long. The cushioned seats are 18" back to front and 23" wide at the front. One of the four chairs has a broken slat. It has been repaired once but broke again. I am not sure if another"repair" would work. Nonetheless. With armchair and 3 intact chairs, the set provides comfortable seating for four people. The photos of the leg bottoms show scratching on two chairs and minimal scratching on the other three. The curved, double clawed feet table legs are in very good condition with negligible nicks/scratches. I don't know the manufacturer but this set has been in the family since right after WW II and it has held up well. The makers tag is work off to the point of being illegible; the cut out legs on the bottom show this to be of higher quality. Those that are a bit run of the mill have the solid skirting around the base. Large mahogany oval-shaped dining table with four side chairs and four arm chairs. Comfortably seats eight and comes with two leaf extensions. Bow-shaped, break-front China cabinet with glass doors, four storage drawers below and two shelves on each side for plenty of extra storage for linens, etc. The China cabinet holds a full set of China. This has been in my family since original purchase. The table is in perfect condition with no damage marks of heat or water, or scratches. Lovely and worth more than asking price. Duncan Phyfe styling with the not so often seen plume and drape design on the chair backs. Nicely turned double base with brass claw foot ends. Set includes the table and 6 chairs. Which is the 5 side chairs and 1"host or hostess" chair which was the standard set type back in the day. There are no leaves anymore. You will need to have the chair seats recovered again. I do have the pattern from when the old/original was removed in order to refinish it. The lighter refinishing on the chair seat ends is because the fabric overlapped and was ended with brass studs-see the last picture of how it originally looked. I have $650 into the original purchase and $1800 for the refinishing work for a total of $2400. 1930's Duncan Phyfe Style Drop Leaf Table and 4 Chairs
This is a nice old Dinette Set. The chairs and table are very sturdy and solid. The drop leaves work excellent. I recovered one of the chairs. The other 3 still have the original fabric. It's extremely easy to replace the chair fabric, remove 4 screws, wrap fabric of your choice around the seat and staple it, then replace the seat with the 4 screws, pretty simple. The Table top could use refinishing, it does have some light scratches and a little paint splatter. These tables are perfect if you need alot of table space or you can drop the sides so they take up very little space when you don't need as much table space. This is a full set of brass drawer pulls from a Duncan Phyfe buffet. There are 4 small ovals(2 1/2" x 1 7/8" with bails. 2 larger ovals(3" x 2 3/8" with bails and 2 medium size knobs(3/4" diam) All are in decent condition showing some wear but should polish nicely. We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful banded and inlaid Duncan Phyfe banquet table that comes with two 18” leaves and opens ... moreup with the leaves to be 112 inches long. Without the leaves closed up it is 76” by 46” deep. It is a gorgeous table that can’t be more than 10-20 years old. It came in on trade with a very fancy Victorian table we had. The people bought it from overseas, but it looks and is built like an English table. The table has a veneer top with straight grain mahogany in the center, satin wood with ebony and maple checkerboard molding and rosewood on the outside finished off in a beautiful dark reddish brown color. It has a triple molded edge, round corners, skirted leaves and sits upon a triple leg double pedestal Duncan Phyfe base. The base has three legs each with multiple turn columns in the center that terminate into a detail Duncan Phyfe claw foot style foot with the metal brass castors. The top has been re-sprayed to remove the nicks and dings. If this table was from the 1880-1920s we would be asking quite a bit more for it. The cost of shipping is $345 to our normal shipping area.
