This type of chair is named after King Dagobert I(603-639 ... moreAD) Dagobert’s tomb, remade in the thirteenth century under Gothic influence, can be seen at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Denis. This specific chair was made during the Renaissance revival period and is heavily sculpted with the classical patterns of this era. The central slat is nicely sculpted with acanthus leaves and mounted with a cartouche flanked by detailed Lion’s Heads, all standing on the curved seat below, with nicely scrolled armrests on each side, supported by a sturdy X-shaped pediment with H-shaped stretcher for stability. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL pair of Mid Century. Vintage side tables or nightstands. This beautiful pair feature sleek, Mid Century lines with a Chinoiserie design. The pair are solid wood construction. They feature STUNNING, inlaid tops with a pattern that changes upon the angle at which they are viewed. The inlay design is a diamond pattern when viewed from above or when looking at the tables from the front or back sides. When looking at the tables from their side profiles, the inlay design is more of a 4 square pattern. The table tops are inset and there is a raised lip border. The tables are have 2 tiers. The lower tiers feature a large, woven rattan or cane face. This section is quite lovely with a nice, contrasting, light to dark brown color palette. The tables do not have drawers but do, instead, have generous slide out trays. The trays have a black laminate surface. The tables are exceptionally well made. They were manufactured by Heritage(Drexel) Furniture Company and are dated 1973. They are in very good condition with minor signs of age/use. They are very heavy and are structurally sound. There are some minor surface scratches but nothing severe or too distracting. There are some bumps, bruises and various chips to the Meander trim, but not really noticable except upon close inspection. This is a gorgeous pair and are of extremely nice construction. The tables measure 21.5" tall. The tops are 25.5" squared and the bases are 26" squared. There is a distance of 13.5" between the upper and lower tiers. Drexel Composite Mid Century Modern End Tables & Coffee Table
This is a very nice set of Drexel Mid Century Modern tables from the Composite line. This is not my area of expertise; I did try to research this line to find some history and could not quickly find any details of the Drexel Composite line. Included in this auction are two(2) end tables and one(1) coffee table. They are in good vintage condition with only cosmetic flaws. They do have signs of normal wear and tear as well as lots of smudging to the finish in areas. One end table has a white stain which I could not clean/buff out. The top lip of both drawers(on the end tables) have some scratching as if a cat was trying to open the drawers. Please see pictures to get a clearer idea of the condition. If you don't want these signs of'character' you will need to have these professionally refinished. The end tables measure 26" ... moredeep x 20" wide x 21" tall. Up for your consideration is this Motorola Heritage.Model number SK57W-1A It has 21 tubes and 6 speakers.This console has seen little use over the years and is ready for a new home.The last time it was used was 30 years ago.Aside from a few very minor nicks in the finish from being 53 years old I would say it's in great shape.It also came from a non smoking and pet free home.If you look at the pictures you can see how nice it looks.I did bring up the power slowly over several hours before using it and I can tell you it sounds sweet.The AM and FM bands pull in stations loud and clear and I installed a new needle on the record player and it sounds just fine.It does start up slow and after a bit it plays.It should be oiled as I'm assuming it has not been oiled in years. It could also use a little control cleaner as there is light scratching ... moresounds when adjusting the volume, bass and treble controls.I'll leave that up to the new owner. Drexel Heritage Mahogony and Leather Game Table This beautiful piece of furniture has graced my living room since I purchased it at a high end consignement store in Timonium. MD in 1999. It is a wonderful hand-crafted work of art. It is also a very uncommon piece. Just try finding another one anywhere on the internet. I can not even find any real information on when exactly it was made- best estimate 1990-1995. Perhaps a veteran Drexel Heritage furniture store employee might know more, but the D-H website knows nothing. This model has not been produced in many years. Did I need this table when I bought it? Of course not. But I saw myself sitting there playing chess with my daughter or backgammon with my wife on a cold winter night after a nice meal and I WANTED IT in my home. So I bought it. And it was a stretch to afford it at the time. ... moreBut I am so glad we have had this table. Now. As we start to prepare to move to a smaller home, tough decisions are being made and we are selling this great table. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have. IMPORTANT NOTE: When I purchased it there was a rather large split where the right hand leg meets the cross piece. Nice, useful hanging file drawer plus two other drawers. Original finish shows patina, and has a few marks. One is a tiny chip on the top lip of the upper left drawer, another appears to be a small burn mark on the top rear edge. Perhaps Donald Draper laid his Lucky Strike there once? This Lyre(Harp) based 4 pedastal table comes with drop leaf style and 3 additional leaves. It includes a full set of protective table pads. It is in very strong excellent condition and has no bad areas which need repair. There are the typical light surface scratches you see with older tables but those are generally buffed out with a good cleaning. This table was my parents and the back of the 3 leaves has the Sept 12. 1951 production date on them. Back then a table of this quality was produced per the wishes of each buyer. It comes with a complete set of pads.which is why the table is so beautiful with minimal care all these years. This beautiful vintage French provincial dresser is made out of wood and solid wood. And it is in good original condition. It has an antique off-white/beige painted finish color with bronze/gold painted highlights, and it has a classic curved French design. It has dove-tailed drawers made of solid wood with antique Brass-finish handles on the drawers, and they are working properly. This small side chair with a cane seat is adorable and built extremely well of good solid wood construction and can be used as a desk chair. Side chair, sewing chair garden chair or dining seat. French Country style. Ivory. Marked Oct 1911 and a shop mark I can not quite read, something wicker shop. Very charming details to the back of the chair that are great left as is and have a lot of character to be highlighted if painted. The height is 34 inches with a seat height of 17 inches and the width is 17 inches as well. I used it in a guest room with the matching tall chest on chest(listed separately) Large dresser and mirror(listed separately) and nightstands as well as a bench(Listed separately. This was the most expensive dresser you could buy for a bedroom in America in the mid Century. Built extremely well of good solid wood construction with dovetails and burnished brass handles. French Provincial Dresser with 9 drawers by Drexel in the Tourraine collection. The dresser is Ivory with gold trim. Great details. Top of their line with the most sought after mirror. Lots of storage in a six foot(72 inch) long dresser. The height is 32 1/2 inches and the depth is 21 inches at the widest. The Mirror is 50 inches x 39 inches and has amazing details with a scalloped trim. The mirror is fastened to the dresser with screws so it is secure. The top drawer on the left side is divided with a gentleman's tray for change. Wallet and jewelry such as tie clasp and watch. The middle drawers are 13 1/2 inches inside width and the longer drawers ... moreare 23 1/2 inches inside width. This is a LOT of storage and quite the statement piece. I used it in a guest room with a dresser scarf because it is in great shape with the exception of marks, stains and wear on the top surface.
