A handsome little dressing table pot. With lid. Presumably Edwardian. Or perhaps a little later. The pot is about two inches tall. And once formed part of a dressing-table set. The base is marked: REAL EBONY Condition Excellent condition. The lid still fits nicely. To keep your powder dry. The lacquer has kept the surface of the wood nice and smooth. But there are some small marks and surface scratches from normal use over the course of the last century. There are the remnants of a label on the base. Solid Silver Art Deco Dressing Table Set - Birm. 1922
A fabulous period Art Deco solid silver dressing table set featuring elegant engine turned design throughout and typically Art Deco form. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1922. The set consists of hand mirror. Hair brush, clothes brush and comb. All in remarkably good condition. The silver is excellent free from any dents or dings. The mirror glass is also excellent and the bristles on each of the brushes are all intact. The only flaw is that comb is missing two of the thinner teeth leaving a small gap, but otherwise it looks as though this set has never been used. Please see pictures below- click to enlarge.

An exceptional Art Deco 6 piece sterling silver and guilloche enamel dressing table set consisting of 4 brushes.1 hand mirror and 1 comb. Condition is excellent with just a minor nibble to top surface of the very tip of mirror handle which does not go all the way through and to be honest is a very minor imperfection. Hallmarked from 1934. Makers mark has been marked on the majority of pieces close to edge so between a poor place to stamp it and general rubbing from polishing the mark can now not be made out, The comb all be it is the same year has makers mark of K&L, The other 5 pieces are not by K&L as we can see a differant shape to the makers mark. VICTORIAN Solid Silver EMBOSSED TRAY DISH 1891 Hallmark Sterling Dressing Table IT IS NOT ENGRAVED- 1 troy oz- SUPER CONDITION- RARE This is a delightful and rather rare ANTIQUE VICTORIAN solid sterling silver dressing table tray or pin dish which was made in Sheffield. England in 1891 by the illustrious silversmiths and cutlers, Lee&Wigfull at their John Street workshops. It is in a gorgeous diamond shape with lovely embossed decoration and has a beautiful scalloped lip. It is a lovely size. It measures 4 1/8" wide. 3" deep and stands 3/8" high- it weighs 27.7 grams- which is almost 1 troy oz. It is NOT engraved to the cartouche in the centre. It is is in very good condition for its age with just the usual surface scratching and almost NO dings and NO dents collected over the last 110+ years of use- SUPERB- with no areas ... moreof overpolishing. It still stands level. It is hallmarked with HW. Crown, lion passant(sterling silver assay mark) Y showing that it was hallmarked in Sheffield in 1891. I am selling a gorgeous antique sideboard/ dresser! Fantastic item in great condition! The unit used to be a dressing table with a mirror sitting on the top which I do have(read on) Hence the cut outs and two tiny wholes on the top! I am unsure of the wood. I think its oak but I am unsure! Decorative designs and trim on the door and draw fronts, with barley twist front legs. With two cupboards(one with shelf) and two deep draws the sideboard has plenty of storage. As I mentioned before. Even the leather box has seen less wear than might be expected and the royal blue silk and velvet lining is in very good order. There are nine pieces, each piece clearly hallmarked: three brushes, a mirror, a trinket dish, a silver topped glass bottle and a silver box. The only anomalies are the button hook and shoe horn which don't appear to have a home but are obviously part of the set. A real heirloom.
