Cottage or victorian home. 6 feet 5 inches tall x 4 feet wide This wonderful vintage piece has four mirrors. All original and in surprisingly excellent condition. Some light scratches and marks but nothing that takes away from their beauty. This unique piece has a large mirror in the center above a center shelf with an oblong mirror just under the center shelf and two oval/kidney shaped mirrors. One on each side. It has two small. It is as found. All original and shows some vintage finish on the knob. The overall length is 3-1/4 inches with a 1-7/8 inch diameter x 1-3/4 inch long walnut knob. The latch is 2-1/2 inches long, 7/8 x 7/8 inch at the thick end and 1/4 of an inch at the long tapered end. The ½ inch diameter dowel is mortised into the latch and cut nailed. It would date back to the late 1800's and this stately piece is unusual because it steps back with a nice ledge and has 3 drawers. the surface is old white paint with the doors shabby craped down to the older green color. It really has a great LOOK! I like it with the doors open for displaying my collectibles. It is 77.5" tall x 50" wide at that middle shelf. The shelf is 9.5" out which is more than most stepback cupboards. At that area it is 22" out from the wall. It has been used as you can see with a mouse hole here and there. Old corner cupboard. Most likely from burke county North Carolina, made from cherry and yellow pine secondary wood. This is a BIG cupboard, it may not look it in the pics, and it truly is not that tall, it stands easily in my 8 foot ceiling, However, it is broader, wider) and deeper than it may appear, that is where the BIG comes in, and yet the proportions are still quite nice. Not boxy looking at all. I think it has lost possibly an inch or two of the feet. the lower skirt seems shallow, and low to the ground, maybe it was in a damp basement years back, or something, and they trimmed it off, i am not sure, but i would bet it has lost some height, an inch or two would be my guess.This is structurally sound and solid, heavy as all get out, and has been in my dining room since the day i bought it, years ago. It will hold a whole lot of china, ... moreor pottery or what have you, makes a good selling cupboard, for showing smalls off in. Other than the feet loss, the cupboard may be missing 2 small sections of the top moulding, the left and right pieces, maybe would have been 5 or 6 inches each, they miter with the main top moulding. there are some minor damage to some of the moulding between the panes, study the pictures, i got a closeup of the main area. these are old mellow, minor issues, they blend in and dont stand out, and catch the eye, or anything, and are cosmetic in nature, not detrimental to the structural function, etc.that's about it, and some dings here and there, typical old cupboard minor imperfections, ask if you want more detail. this cupboard features solid cherry exterior, yellow pine shelving and back, very early saw marks, hand planed lumber, early square nails, pegged doors, early wavy glass panes, either applied cock beading, or scribed cock beading, or some combination of the two, on the stile work around and framing the area where both pairs of doors hang, and beading around the lower panels on bottom doors. much detail does not show up well in those pictures, but they were the best i was able

Up for auction is this great lot of 20 metal drawer/cabinet pulls. Some are brass. And others are made of ferrous materials. I have not attempted to clean these and they have a great older patina. They range in size, but are matching style. 16 of the 20 are the same size and measure.75 inches in diameter. 4 of the 20 measure a little over 1 inch in diameter. My mother had it hanging in her kitchen for many years and used it to display her collection of miniature kitchen utensils. It still has two hanging hooks on the back. Antique Pa Softwood Cabinet Cupboard Small/Petite/Cute
Nice size you can find a home for anywhere. 40" tall. Top is 15 1/2" wide by 12 7/8" deep. Cabinet itself is 13 1/8" wide by 12 3/8" deep. Wood is mostly 7/8" thick with some 3/4" shelves are thinner. Old green paint over even older white paint. Age is early 1900's to 1920's. They are not cut nails so I don't think it is older than that. Rather a Shaker style with the arches on the bottom. This came from an estate where 4 generations lived on the same farm. They were Dunkards or Mennonites-the women wore those small white caps on their heads. Tight and sound-a little too tight-door opens and closes hard-needs some sanding on the one edge. Paint has age crackling but is tight showing wear at places. Construction is of wide single boards. It looks like there were shims placed under the feet for ... morean uneven floor.
