English oak sideboard or serving cupboard circa. 1810. Rustic. With two apron drawers over two blind cupboard doors, on bracket feet. Simple but elegant. The photos show the front. Top, the inside of a drawer, and the inside of the two doors. Measures 51" wide by 21.5" deep by 38" high. Weight estimated at 130 lb. Provenance unknown. It has been in the family for 20+ years. This piece was passed down to us by a relative. She had it in her kitchen for many years. It comes in two pieces. It measures 83 inches height. 45 inches width and 16 inches depth(base) The top part measures 49 inches height, 44 inches width and depth is 12 inches. Both are original to this piece. I love the design of the wood cut outs that are part of the top section. Has two doors on top. Glass is original. Has a few bites to the wood in places. The piece was painted many times through the years. Twenty years ago we stripped the paint. We painted it a shabby yet chic look in a cream design and added flower decals. Knobs on drawers were replaced. The back wood is also replaced. A group of 4 vintage cupboard latches made of steel. The turn latch has a good spring return on all 4 of them. One of the latches has a copper wash type finish. There is an separate picture of each latch. The copper wash latch with the 2 pieces together is apr. 2 1/4 inches long and apr. 2 1/8 inches wide to the outside edge of the flange. The other 3 latches are apr. 2 1/4 inches long and apr. 2 1/8 inches wide. They will need to be cleaned rust. Dirt, etc. from over the years. The pictures should show the rest. Having just been restored by my very experienced restorer(50 years) it is consequently in excellent condition and is ready for immediate use in the home or for retailing in a prestigious showroom or fair. The second thing that strikes you about this cupboard is the colour and patination. The cabinetmaker that made this cabinet chose some very good quality timbers for the job. This has resulted all these years later in a cupboard with a gorgeous soft rich warm colour and patination that can only be attained by mahogany of this age and quality. Thirdly are the proportions. The design of this cupboard is just right and the cupboard benefits from having a good balance. Great little child's cupboard. All handmade. Has wonderful paint history. Seems like a black over red. Maybe over white. The surface definitely has age and typical paint wear. Just great crackeleur to the surface. Measures 30 1/4" tall. The top depth is 6 1/2" and the bottom is 8" Across is 16 1/2" There are 2 shelves and an open area. The bottom had a shelf, but it's missing. There is a small hole, looks like it was made for something. The one side shows a typical Pennsylvania drawing of a bird with hearts in red. It was removed from a Hanover County Virginia estate. It measures 26-3/4" tall x 14-1/8" wide x 6" deep. Made in the early 20th century. It features a darkened and worn dovetailed case, a single door with a reverse beveled panel, the original brass hinges and knob/latch on the door, a clean interior with four shelves that have from 3-3/4" 9" clearance between them, and a back with two holes for easy hanging. Vintage shabby look cupboard,arched top with scroll work and drawer
Cupboard measures 16 1/2" tall from top of arch down to bottom of base. Width is 12" across at base. Shelves are 2 1/2" deep. And drawer measures 10" across. Someone has replaced the glass with Plexiglas and added a small magnet at the bottom of the doors to keep them from opening up when not in use. Other than that it all looks original. It is free standing or could easily be hung on the wall with a little hardware. I will add an additional $2.00 to the invoice to insure the package from damage from the Post Office. Antique 19th century 16 drawer apothecary cabinet. This piece has a deep. Rich patina to the wood and original wooden pulls. There are some imperfections, ex. one drawer has a chip(see photos) Overall it is wonderful and would make a great kitchen island and work space. It has a butcher block top that may not be original to the piece but is a very nice marriage of the two pieces. The drawers are solid wood except for the drawer bottoms, they are made of a pressed board. The brass corner brackets were used to protect the chest whilst in transit during campaigns. The front folds outwards to reveal the Secretaire interior that has three working drawers inside. There is one large and two small drawers. The chest has a blue leather and gold tool pad within. The chest is constructed of teak. The hand-dovetailed drawers are constructed of solid chestnut and have working locks and a key. The turned feet have been firmly attached however they originally would have been detachable. This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the conservatory. Hallway, bedroom or the living room. This campaign chest of drawers would certainly grace any home. Georgian Country Pine 1800's Corner Cupboard. An authentic late Georgian period corner cupboard dates from the early 1800's. Classical dentil molding and fluted pilasters are hand carved in pine. Country French Oak Sideboard Pewter Cupboard& Clock. An authentic Country French sideboard or pewter cupboard from about 1910 has a clock. Signed by the maker in Perpignan in the south of France. Carved of solid fine grained oak, the workmanship is outstanding. Drawers have hand cut dovetails, panels are raised, the crown is gracefully arched and there are grooves in the galleries for display. The original finish has been waxed and polished. It is very well preserved with warm antique patina. Just a wipe with a dry cloth will maintain its warm glow. The top of the base has been revarnished for stain resistance and durability. Brasses are original. Keys are handles only, the locks do not work except for the two clock doors, both with beveled glass. The"Morbier" clock has been professionally cleaned and oiled. It keeps excellent ... moretime. The 6 day movement is a double striker, the bell counts the hour twice in case one is not paying attention the first time. It also rings the half hour. The hand painted porcelain dial is signed by the maker, Gaspard Scheicher a(of) Perpignan, an ancient and lovely town in southern France near the Spanish frontier. The embossed brass surround depicts musicians and a dancing couple with wheat in the background. For transporting. The upper section is a separate piece. Dimensions of this marvelous heirloom furniture are 91" wide, 25" deep, 8' 5" tall and the base is 37" high. This clock needs to be"set up" when delivered- weights and pendulum attached and the case leveled. Most of our customers can do this as we walk them through the fairly simple steps by phone. The process is not very difficult. And it is also nice to know how to do this again whenever the clock needs to be moved for cleaning, painting or whatever. Antique 18th 19th Century Bureau Cupboard Brass Steel Locks For Restoration
Three 18th or 19th century locks for restoration purposes. The brass one is good quality. With nice key, good working order and measures 1 1/2 X 3 3/8 inchs. It is surface mounted, probably off a cupboard or large bookcase. Steel one with cover removed is rusty, works, and is aprox. 2 1/4 inches square, with original key. Probably off a bureau, or some sort of fall front. The surface mounted steel one is lacking spigot and key, it is 18th or early 19th century and bolt shoots to the right.
