This is a beautiful and rare antique period American birdseye chest of drawers which is probably 1830s in age. The chest is unsigned but attributed to John Needles of Baltimore who was a famous cabinet maker back then. It measures 41 inches in height. The top is 49.5x19.5 inches. It is original finish and very clean. I believe the pulls are original as well. It is well made and a beautiful chest with the pronounced birds eye drawer fronts. It is well made which is how the old cabinet makers used to make them. Due to the size of this piece it either needs to be picked up here on Cape Cod or it must be shipped freight at the cost of the purchaser. We can recommend a couple of freight shippers on the east coast who do a very nice job for a reasonable price. However shipping west of the Mississippi can cause a jump in the freight price so please keep that in mind when bidding.
