Carved Wood Antique Server Cabinet An exquisitely hand carved hutch circa 1900. Original and in fine condition. The stepped pediment top with geometrically carved detail rests above colorful leaded glass double doors of cabochon and martele design surrounded by arched frames with carved gadrooned frieze. This top section which is raised on turned spindles opens to reveal interior shelving. The bottom sections of two elaborately carved doors bearing scenes of the hunt, specifically rabbit and fish motif, are topped by two drawers also vigorously carved and flanked by carved lion masks. These lion heads are symbolically repeated at the top pediment and as a central figure as well. The cabinet is solid with no apparent nicks or scratches. I especially like that the front and sides are glass and can look through it. The old wavy glass on this is incredible. The front has narrow wood slats that reminds me of mission style. Some of the wood is missing on lower right side(see Pic) You probably could get some veneer and match up or just leave as is. The piece is in overall good sturdy shape for its age. This is a good size Duncan Phyfe mahagony china cabinet circa 1940. The finish is original. It has a few nicks and scratches but can be cleaned and used like it is without refinishing. The cabinet measures 73" tall at the top of the center peak. 36 1/2" wide, and 16 1/2" deep. It is in one piece but the top display part is 41 1/2" tall, 33" wide, and12 1/2" deep. The bottom storage part is 36 1/2" wide, 31 1/2" tall, and 16 1/2" deep. The top display part has 2 glass doors and 2 adjustable shelves with plate groves. Very Nice English Bone China Cabinet Cup & Saucer with Sterling Holder
This is a great English bone china cup& saucer. Crafted in England by the firm of Aynsley it has a rare extra section on the saucer for biscuits or such. The sterling holder was crafted in Birmingham 1910 by the firm of Charles S Green& Co. The decoration on the cup& saucer is totally hand painted& there is barely any wear on that or the gilding around the rims of both pieces. The sterling holder simply needs a good clean. The saucer measures approx 6 3/4" long x approx 4 3/8" wide on the cup section. The cup measures approx 2 3/8" top diameter& stands approx 2 3/8" tall.
