This old cabinet was made by the American Cabinet Company Co. which was the leading supplier of old medical and dental cabinets. It stands about 10 and 1/2 inches tall and is 16 and 1/2 inches wide by almost 4 inches wide. It appears to made of mahogany. It has one plate glass shelf(very small chip) The piece was probably originally screwed to a wall as there are 4 holes in the back for attachment. Pretty glass knob/handle lifts up to open.It could be freestanding as well. Mirrored back. Good vintage condition: some staining to the wood on top and looks to be the original finish. Here is a wonderful early to mid-twentieth century carved dark oak corner cabinet. Imported from the UK through Edinburgh and ready for use in your home or place of business today. This sweet cabinet stands 68 inches tall and measures 29 inches wide across the front. The distance from the front center of the cabinet straight back to the corner is 28 inches, with each of the side walls measuring 19 inches back to the corner. The top section of the cabinet is 38 inches tall with the base and two additional removable shelves which when in place offer about 11 inches of clearance above each and closer to 14 inches above the top shelf. Antique Library card catalog. Made by the Library Bureau Sole Makers Company. Made of oak. Appears to have never been refinished. Shows years of loving wear. Please see all the pictures for a better idea of condition. There are 3 drawers with 6 areas for cards. The drawers are unlike most cabinets and are open rather than seperated into cubbies. This actually makes it much more usefull than most other cabinets. Only one drawer still retains the inside hardware. All drawers retyain the original outside hardware. One very interesting thing about this cabinet are the hand holds that were carved into the sides. This cabinet was apparently moved alot so the hand holds were added after production to aid in moving the cabinet. Normally I would say this would hurt the value but in this case they were probably added around 100 years ago and I feel ... morethis actually makes it even more interesting. I wish I knew the story of why they were added. Possibly a portable library. Think about it. Vintage Green Cabinet with Unique Embroidery
This Unique Cabinet is roughly from the early 1960's. It's pea green in color with a brass Embroidery which features birds on it. In addition. The legs are also wrapped with brass. The cabinet doors close flush and the cabinet legs are level. I can't find any identifing model# or name on the cabinet, or I would have disclosed it. This is another wonderful. OLD antique oak 4 drawer file cabinet. It is the rare 3/4 size, measuring only 15 inches wide, 27 1/2 inches deep and standing 52 inches tall. This is the only file cabinet with the smaller width I have ever had, most are the legal size 21 inches wide, The maker is unknown, but is built similar to a Hertzog cabinet I sold a while ago where it sits on a sliding shelf that comes half way out to support the drawer as shown. Massachusetts circa 1795-1805. We have been extremely fortunate to turn up two Dodge pieces during this past year. This piece had us on the fence between Samuel MacIntyre and the Dodge's. The simliarities between the known Dodge pieces we have handled and this dresser leaves us with little doubt. This piece has a very unusual upper deck containing a two drawer glove box. This is bordered by a wonderfully scrolled three sided dovetailed galley in addition to having finely carved columns flowing into poweful period Sheraton legs. Its case is built in a two over ... morethree drawer format. There was tiny 3/4" diameter Sheraton brass rosettes at one time at the curled ends of the galleries back board. This is a great quartersawn single door oak bookcase or china cabinet. I really like the look of this piece as it is tall and thin. Would fit in many places and certainly has many uses. Wonderful antique step back cupboard. Was perhaps an old child's toy or doll toy. Heavily varnished pine(I believe) wood with deep blue painted interior. The paint looks more recent. Not original but displays beautifully. Would be fabulous filled with old pottery doll dishes or a child's pewter or tin tea set. The colonial blue really sets it off. A scratch on the back shows the original old green paint underneath. 2 Adorable little white porcelain knobs. Some screws have been replaced and one of the bottom doors doesn't open very far. It has a carved lion's head on the top center and also has carved feet on the front. The color and finish are original and beautiful. It still retains the old wavy glass. This is a large cabinet. THE BOTTOM SECTION: The total length of bottom is 48” inches across x 30¼” inches tall x 26 ¾” inches deep. There is a right side barrel. Pull out drawer that is 17” wide and extra deep at 15 ¾” at its deepest while on its left side there is a swing open door with two shelves inside for storage. This is a stunning 9 1/2" cabinet plate made at the Coalport factory in England circa 1860. It is well marked with the gold ampersand mark. the painting of fruit and a flower is in the style of William Cook. A noted Coalport artist. The turquoise jewels are intact. The reticulated border is enhanced with gold, gold beads, and turquoise jeweling. This plate shows the excellence of Coalport craftsmanship. The condition of the body is excellent- no chips. Cracks or repairs. It rings like a bell. There is a 1/4" scratch in the pink ground. The outer most edge of the plate has gold wear; there is also some interior gold wear. See the gold lines bordering the inner edge of the pink ground. Please remember this plate is at least 150 years old. I guarantee everything written about the piece.
