There are 3 shelves inside, 1 has a candle burns from where people used to light with a candle. There is no restoration to the cabinet except a piece of wood on left end foot and small ear tip on front foot. The ends each have 4 ventilation holes. SquareTrade © AP6.0 A scarce WE 12A Power Unit in classic gray/green finish! Mount your classic WE 124 or other tube amp inside! Weighs about 39 lbs. Measures about 27.5 x 16.5 x 9.5 inches. There's an operable door and a hinged rack for servicing your amplifier! Lots of dirt and gunk have coalesced on the bottom tray. As seen. An angry capacitor may have been part of that at some long-ago date. I believe this piece of hardware would clean up very well with a little elbow grease and the proper solvent. Much of the discoloration is apparently just dirt and grease of the ages. There is a combination of old cloth wire. Possibly original, and some later 1960s/70s Belden cabling- see pics of the terminals. There is also a master on/off switch which is presumably working. Edison Amberola V Cabinet, Expertly Refinished, With Early Inner Grille
Here is an extremely pretty mahogany Edison Amberola V cabinet. I obtained it from a guy who was planning on restoring the entire machine. But gave up. He had disassembled and reglued and refinished the cabinet. And that is what you see before you now. So if you have your own Amberola V machine with a terrible cabinet, you can just drop the mechanism of yours into this cabinet and be done! By the way. I also obtained the rest of the mechanism that he had started to restore, although it is incomplete. You can see those parts in my separate other auctions, and one of the shots I've included here. This cabinet is a very nice mahogany. And the interior finish and Edison decal are original. It retains its original crank escutcheon, and nicely plated hinge. Look carefully at the detailed pictures and note how sharp and tight the corner mouldings ... moreand joints are. No nicks or gouges- extremely nice! One thing that is very interesting to note is that this machine is an early example. The serial number is in the mid 700s. Which is a very early example for this model. Every other Amberola V that I have ever seen has its rear grill attached by screws. This one drops in, and is secured by small metal pins at the back edge, which you will see in a few of the pictures. An interesting variant! This is spectacular solid Extra Curly Hawaiian Koa. I commissioned a wood working artist to build this set. I personally selected each board as he hand crafted each piece back in 1989. This dining room set is heirloom quality and is superior to sets found in Honolulu Koa Showrooms costing $35,000 or more. It would be nearly impossible to find Koa with this kind of curl in today's marketplace, it simply isn't available. It's the natural curl found in older species of the Hawaiian Koa tree that provide the rich gold and red patterns in holographic dimensions that give the wood it's"electricity" Today's Koa is nice, but it doesn't reflect light like ... morethis Koa Hutch or Dinning Room set. It was amazing to see the color differences, even in just the pictures I took. I have done extensive research, and I know the value and quality of this pieces just don't compare to anything else out there. This is a great English bone china cup& saucer. Crafted in England by the firm of Aynsley it has a rare extra section on the saucer for biscuits or such. The sterling holder was crafted in Birmingham 1910 by the firm of Charles S Green& Co. The decoration on the cup& saucer is totally hand painted& there is barely any wear on that or the gilding around the rims of both pieces. The sterling holder simply needs a good clean. The saucer measures approx 6 3/4" long x approx 4 3/8" wide on the cup section. The cup measures approx 2 3/8" top diameter& stands approx 2 3/8" tall. There's a Transfer Printed Scene of a Family of Gipsies around a Campfire with a Cooking Pot above the Fire. The Scene has then been Handpainted to give additional Life and Energy to the Scene. Which appears to be Walnut, and the interior has nicely matched walnut veneer. The top and bottom are quarter sawn oak. There are some lovely brass medallions around the clock face. The door and sides have the original glass, unbroken, and the door has its original brass closure on the side. The carved base has some old worm holes in the wood. The case measures 38” tall x 16” wide x 7 ¼” deep, the face opening is 8” in diameter. The case is in very good condition for its age. There is some slight warping of the veneer around the front door and around the face, but not really too noticeable. There is no crown piece. It is fairly heavy, weighing almost 18 lbs. Sold as-is. No returns.
